    With the popularity of The Walking Dead id say its by far the biggest in that respect even if not in the count of mazes. Also mazes will open at 3pm this year but will open at 12pm during half term which will help queues!

    I guess it’s a natural evolution to pop badges.. Just the pins cost! The pins merlin have released over the last year or so are going down well so will be interesting to see how this goes!

    As mentioned - I don't think this is going to be themed around the wickerman movie - it's just using its name. Think it's logo actually looks quite nice - looking forward to seeing how the theme actually plays out.

    It was very loud when I rode it the day it re-opened. I think it's been turned down since but would still say it's louder than before it closed for a few weeks.
  9. Probably right that somone moved them - it was MOS last night too which may have meant they were re-arranged!
  10. No - the toilets are separated off - cant remember if you can only get to them before the security checks or after but definitely separated!
  11. I had noticed the sign had been removed from the entrance my last visit - but still states on the website 18. That said I've not personally seen any hold up becusse of this.
  12. With the amount of different search routines/ lay outs they have tried this year I think once they've found the best solution they will look to make it a more permanent addition!

I do agree they do need a more permanent solution to it all - since the Manchester attacks they have significantly increased the amount of staff searching and I do think the searches infront of the kiosks works better than it did before. I do avoid taking a bag when I can to skip the queues or get there at about 9!
  14. Seen it used plenty of times - corporate events seem to take place more during the week!

  17. Only way to get to the shop is to select one of them options from what i can see. Once in the shop just press the main menu button and then "Entry Tickets" and you can buy just day tickets.
  18. The page with only tickets with fastrack only appears if you select "DAY TICKET + ONE FASTRACK" on https://www.thorpepark.com/tickets-passes/tickets - as you would expect.. If you select "1 DAY THORPE PARK RESORT TICKET" you have the option for just a day ticket along with the fastrack options. Dont see the issue here?

    I do fully agree - within 5/10 mins is fine - it's just always been a criticism that queue times are wrong - hopefully this will make that a thing of the past.

    Posted this in the general discussion too but was really impressed with the new queue time system Sunday - was advertised at "36" minutes - out of curiosity we timed it, it was exactly spot on (well 35 mins 40 seconds!) - would be really good if they can get this on all major rides / as accurate!

    Apologies missed that bit! As I said - I don't think merlin are perfect - though at the same time I don't find them awful - I'd say the latter DIC / Tussauds days were worse but I guess it can be all down to opinion. Do agree more competition in the U.K. would be a good thing for the Merlin attractions.

    Not sure what makes anyone think Merlin selling the parks would automatically make them any better - Merlin are by no means perfect but things could be a lot lot worse.
  23. You could also look at it on the flip side, a more successful US business could bring more capital for the rest of the group. (Im not saying that will happen but we certainly should just assume this will mean less money here!)

  25. Noticed a few changes with queue boards recently - firstly on Saw the ride - it seems there's a new system in place with cameras monitoring people entering the queue lines - when we entered the queue it was advertised at 36 minutes - out of curiosity we timed it, we was on the ride in exactly 36 minutes - impressive! Secondly there seems to be different messages they can display now - for example Zodaic went down for sick and instead of just stating "unavailable" it was showing as "Short Delay". Also during bad weather last week they boards were displaying "Weather delay" on affected rides. This all shows on the queue line TVs too for the individual rides.
