To be fair it's perfectly possible that guests did call 999 - problem is with guests is anything what happens can be majorly blown out of proportion- whilst in this case it was obviously major I expect emergency services wouldn't attend till towers confirmed they were needed. May be totally wrong of course

They've said there was a wind meter at Obvlion which for some reason wasn't activated. Merlin have also disputed that wind caused the stall stall. "Merlin’s barrister suggests the empty carriage could have become stuck because the brakes slowed the empty train “more than they should have done.”"

It just guarantees entry , if you arrive early you'll usually be fine unless they declare it as a pre book only day but this will be advertised in advance! It may be a shout but if your clever can do all the mazes without fastrack

Whilst I fully agree Ghost train etc are not the best rides in the world, it don't make people wrong if they do enjoy them just a differing of opinion!

True - that said Loggers did often suffer issues with pumps, even last year it had temporary pumps in to keep it open over some periods.

Its running significantly better now after its closure than it was before, was there earlier this week it open around 15 minutes late, only saw it go down once and was back up in 10 minutes

Looks like the passes have gone up £10 on this years prices - still good value for what you get etc.

Whilst i agree it don't look like any works been done to the ride, its probably not quite as bad as it looks, all it would need is a sweep of the trough and the wood fixing around the bottom of the drop and it would look just as it did at the end of last season!

^I maybe wrong but i think it depends on the dates - the earlier typically quieter ones have fewer restrictions than half term week.

I dont think the glitches it has are heat related - the 10 minutes of the holding scene (green smoke) would have been due to a (lengthy!) delay on the train ahead for what ever reason. The other glitches ive had on it are when the vives seem to lose connection to the lighthouses (Small black boxes attached to the ceiling of the trains) so it dont quite know where you are - most of the time this is just for seconds but ive had it an entire train before.

Theyve never said fastrack won't be sold this year - they said it wasn't sold at the moment and never said when it would be!

Not an issue as such these rides and the ones mentioned above (Slammer - Samurai) all have their own ride themes - they will play the areas music (in this case colossus theme) if the rides local music isn't playing - you'll notice on Samurai / Slammer if being loaded slow at the end of the loading themes the area music will then play. Colossus station is also fixed now! think that's how it works!

The official line is they "hope" for it to make a splash back in 2017. Its perfectly possible once renovations start they find issues which are not feasible to fix.

Im aware of that - but then I'm not sure what Merlin / Figment would have to gain from installing the highest end headsets without the power behind them to run it. Up to now it seems most of the rides issues are actually not VR related - that said I'd agree there's room for improvement!

Agreed - I was only pointing out merlin didn't cheap out on the tech on this ride. The vast majority of the complains regarding VR seem to revolve all around the 2nd train - I've no doubt the park will be taking on board the feedback and working on ways to improve it - the fact the first train seems mainly well received shows the Figment / merlin etc are more then capable.
