  1. I'd be a hypocrite if I was against fastrack really.. I've used it at towers and Thorpe and often buy the maze fastrack at fright nights too. Regarding this reserve n ride I think if they can make it work it will replace fastrack and it will simply become a system which is free for all but if you wish you can pay and get sooner time slots.
  2. I'd say generally in that respect operations on park are much better in the last few years in regards to trains being sent quickly. I personally find fastrack is ok until there's a shutdown or something which causes a back log and its a struggle to make that up without letting through alot more fastrack than normal. Back to this Reserve n Ride, I really hope the park stick with it, I think once guests "get it" it will be quite good and totally change how you visit the park.
  3. Experiment 10 had a good couple of years to be fair and I expect a fair lot of it will remain in place and tweaked for the maze which replaces it (assuming it uses the same structure) As for the passing I think money was spent but it was really the lack of actors which let if down which was a shame
  4. I think Blair witch, I really like the rumours of a maze in the wooded bit of canada creek and if pulled off right I thin could be pretty amazing!
  5. They don't run front row like that anymore, people simply wait for it like other coasters if they wish. I would like to see how the back row queue would work if they just let people queue as normal then queue for back in the station. Maybe when it's not so much of a big deal agree this season.
  6. Thorpe Park and Lionsgate UK present Fright Nights! http://thorpeparkmania.co.uk/news/22-08-2013/THORPE-PARK-and-LIONSGATE-UK-Presents-Fright-Night http://thorpepark.com/frightnights/
  7. They wont make you pay for it if its a full queue replacement. I can see it becoming a tiered as Benin said and id be pretty happy with that TBH.

    Slammer

Good to know the park are dedicated to keeping Slammer running! Look forward to it reopening
  9. I do agree its a flaw, but IMO queue jumping is queue jumping no matter how its done ad I would recommend against it! I'm sure if caught people would be dealt with just as other queue jumpers are.
  10. I love it Fanboys are the quick to moan at parks at queue jumpers yet love to brag about queue jumping on forums... But seriously.. This is effectively queue jumping no better / worse than pushing past people in the queue so id strongly recommend against doing that
  11. But if they were for this year why would they use the old Fright Nights logo :\
  12. I think it has massive potential to be fair its a very brave move by the park. I think the problem we will have with the trial as its only on one ride it will get abit confusing for people, I actually think think it will work better when there are 2/3 rides on the system but then thats even more risky!
  13. I guess we wont really know the feedback they get but I really hope it does work, it could totally change the way people visit the parks in future.. as I said earlier its all about if guests get it. Its well and good saying queing is simple, people would rather this and that but ultimately IF thorpe can make it work it will improve how people visit the park. I'm sure when the iPhone came out people will have said what do I want a touch screen ./ apps for..
  14. Because like it or not, the majority of guests would rather not be standing in a long queue for a ride. It takes less than 5 minutes to sign up and book a slot and there are staff on hand to help so I dont really see it being an issue in that way. Its a trial for a reason, but apart from earlier in the day when the Reserve n Ride system crashed, it sounds like its working just as planned so far today.
  15. Your right its not "needed" they are just trying to further improve guest experience. I think the biggest problem with it will be getting guests to understand it, its a simple concept but I can see some people not quite getting it.
  16. Thorpe park confirmed to tpm there are extended dates
  17. It's up to them how they reveal it there just building hype!
  18. Alton towers event hasn't changed...
  19. I think it will stay free, I can see a paid version in the future which will give you faster access potentially replacing fastrack. Quite exciting the potential to become a queue free park!
  20. Think of all the space this could free up of unnneeded queue lines..
  21. There is no general queue this is what makes it quite different to queue bot
  22. http://thorpeparkmania.co.uk/news/19-08-2013/Reserve-And-Ride-Trials Well who liked queuing anyway? Massively excited about this.. It has huge potential. Fantastic to see Thorpe once again working ages to improve guest existence.
  23. You'll just have to wait
