The smokes looking great! Theres a load of it if you look towards the station when it launches from the plaza you just see its all raising above it. Lets hope it can stay like that

You win a free Thorpe park pass if you do it so I guess it's not that easy !
-
For me: Cabin in the woods - Fantastic, love the idea behind it, its totally different to anything I've seen and its nice to see Thorpe again moving away from the conga line mazes and trying new things, for the passing it didn't quite work, but I think Cabin in the woods is a great idea and will only get better. Didn't get to the control room so looking forward to finding that next time! Asylum - As ever its mad and crazy, the actors are very good at making the most of the layout and climbing all over the fences like the old days. Theres a few tweaks inside the main maze but the more noticeable changes are along the exit path which create a whole load of new potential scares, much better and chain saw man as good as ever! Blair Witch Project - This was abit of a weird one, I thought they would struggle to pull off a secluded woodland but they have actually done this quite well, its quiet and mostly dark (although I feel could be darker in some places). Ive read reviews of actors being jumpy on here but I didn't experience this, I think this could be vastly improved with some dry ice maybe along parts of the walk and a facade on the shed to make it slightly less obvious! Your're next Roaming actors - I guess this ones always hard to pull off - some of the props look abit to fake for me, but the actors only really go after the ones who look scared, and so for those who these scare I expect it works much better! Park Wide - Theres no theming apart from the entrance which is a shame but you can tell a lot of effort has gone into other places such as park wide music which is possibly the best its been for fright nights to date and the mazes. Looking forward to trying out MBV and Saw alive this year soon!

I think the audio across the park is very good this year, Whilst things like humpty dumpty were good in their time, having a more consistent theme park wide adds much more to the atmosphere.. The park wide music was also good with the director speaking throughout the track, and every now and then Perfect Day from You're Next playing was great, as the event goes on can see the roaming actors really getting into their rolls when this comes on!

You can't really judge the event on a staff preview
-
As members will soon be trying out Thorpe Parks all new Fright Night event please move all discussing regarding the event here! Dont forget some people wont want the surprises spoilt so please make use of the Spoiler tags!

I think that would make me like it more..

I thought WWTP sounded better recently than it had done!
-
If they did up Rita abit (Paint the ride so it fits in, get rid of the scaffolding., sorted the queue so nets are not tied on a string to supports it could actually look half presentable without a tonne of money being spent on it! Oh and sort out that fastrack unit so the queue of people dont block off the path to Thirteen too!
-
Smilers problem isnt really the trains as such though, if you watch the ride the entire train un-naturally shifts to the side when it goes through that part of the Cobra Roll, you feel it more on different rows etc but it will always be there unless they fix the issue with the track.

Hmm ive never smashed my head into the restraint on baco tbh... thats more vibrations!
-
It had it for the preview weekend but I think it was all very temporary. Shame really it looked good!

The rides closing at 5 will make next to no difference to queues on park, they are so quiet the effects will be minimal. And regarding being a maze down I can't see making a difference, the Passing was such low throughout anyway replacing that with a higher throughout attraction it's self will only help, along with a scare zone which again should be a reasonable throughput. By select rides closing between 8 and 9 they don't mean the whole park.. I assume it will be the rides sat their empty.. I expect the majority of the thrill rides will close at 10.
-
From what I understand is between 8 and 9 select rides will close, I expect the major ones will stay open till 10 although I maybe wrong!

Rumba had new lighting installed over the winter and I understand loggers has CCTV which can see at night too. I can understand Loggers if Blair Witch goes past it... It would massively distract from the experience but no idea why Rumba is closing, would of expected Tidal to close before rumba.. unless theres somthing we dont know!
-
3pm - My Bloody Valentine, Cabin, Asylum and SAW Alive - all open. 5pm - Logger's Leap, Rocky Express, Carousel, Mr Monkey’s Banana Boat and Rumba Rapids all close. 6pm - Blair Witch Opens 8-9pm – select rides close depending on demand 10pm - The 4 mazes close for guests and re-open for 'Brave It Alone' half hour. (16 years + Only) 10.30pm - The 4 mazes close. 11.00pm - Start of Blair Witch Camping. Early hours - Blair Witch Camping finishes. Fright Night open hours.

I very much doubt there has only been one shutdown on Speed this year.. My friends visited a few weeks ago and Speed was down all day, so thats atleast another day which you wasnt aware of... Although these rides are operated very differently to Saw / Smiler. Speed will easily go around all day with its single car with little issue, Saw / Smiler are sending out a car every few seconds with the ride having to do a hell of a lot more work!

The amount of effort people put in moaning on here is much more than a quick text would be.. I don't think Thorpe are asking anyone to do their jobs for them, it's quite simply another method of communication between the guest and the park that somthing is wrong and then a member of staff can head over and check the board / queue and make sure they are correct.
-
Map has been updated - I Guess the new map due for Fright Nights may not be happening this year now!
-
I'm sure there will be some people will get great joy in texting thorpe park with updated queue times throughout their day to be fair
-
Was working couple weeks ago.. Wasn't on Saturday though.
-
Moan queue times are wrong Moan when they actually try and do something about it. Thorpe are hardly the only park with the issue, would you rather they just ignore the problem like the others?
-
It seems ill also have space in my car. Am considering driving up the Friday evening to avoid an early start Saturday.
