    Doctor Who

If the whole 'Silence will fall' thing from the last series was only built up for these episodes, then that's kinda disappointing... other than that I still really liked it.
  2. School. I've just had enough...

Not quite. I thought they'd better suited to sub, being top of the bill is quite a risky move considering they don't have the most widespread of appeals other than to their strong 'MCRmy'. But hey, I guess risks sometimes pay off, we'll have to wait and see. (Although I would never know if it did, because personally I can't stand MCR so I won't be seeing them)What makes this a disappointing set of headliners on the whole, starts off with Melvin Benn and his 'Oh yeah we have exclusive headliners, we're so awesome like that'. I guess he didn't think that people were smart enough to realise that two of those R+L headliners (The Strokes and My Chemical Romance) are in fact playing at other UK festivals, but they aren't headlining due to those festivals having more widely appealing bands to headline instead. They're still exclusive headliners, but it's hardly made a brilliant feat anymore is it? I was also perplexed by the decision to put the Dance Tent on Reading Saturday, presumably making the Lock Up Stage Friday and Sunday. Since most of the Main Stage bands on Friday are fairly suited to the Lock Up Tent, that's tough for fans of that genre whose decision on who to see will be made way more difficult on Friday, and it also means those who aren't major fans of Indie will struggle on the so called 'Indie Saturday'. (And I'm not saying none of them will be interested in the Dance Tent, but from my experience of being friends with a lot of fans of Punk music, they won't be crazy about it )
  4. Tbh, people are bound to get sick of her. Gaga is everywhere, all the time, you can't escape here anymore. Great for those who love her, but for the rest, it does get a little tiring seeing the same stuff day after day especially you don't really care that much.I do like Gaga and enjoyed her first album, but surely you can understand that hearing about her EVERYWHERE must get frustrating for some? It certaintly makes me go crazy when I leave Twitter to go here (due to my timeline being overrun with Gaga who's made some other form of controversy), only to find all the same rubbish here. And yes Will, a few people discussed Linkin Park today. But honestly, have you EVER seen any other form of discussion about Linkin Park on here recently other than that? Most artists just come up once or maybe twice, but with Gaga it is every few pages or so, sometimes in more than one topic. I know you're all big fans and I won't try and stop people talking about her altogether, but just a bit of understanding please...
  5. "Reached my maximum quota of positive votes" or some crap, but this. So so much.

So, the most annoying ones then? Actually Numb is okay... but I only their first two albums anyway, bar maybe the odd MTM song here and there.
  7. So erm, what happens when 2013 comes around and advertising this ride becomes a little awkward?

I'm not doubting her for a second, but this might actually be a good idea for her to do... not necessarily the no clothes at all part, but just do a stripped down concert. No fancy effects, costumes, dancers or props, just her and a piano. Saying it won't make the critics stop, she needs to actually go and do it if she really wants to prove herself...

    Oblivion

You don't need to try to pay attention to it anymore, the point is... it's an eyesore. It sticks out, even if you didn't look it before, you WILL do now. And it won't be a pretty sight.
  10. Well, it was only a matter of time.
  11. But remember Ricky... Had to be done, sorry.
  12. Huh? Spotify and iTunes are two totally different things, Spotify allows you to stream any song on its database in full for free. It was like God to those who have a very large music taste and physically can't afford to buy all of it. This new rule is effectively going back on everything it once stood for back in 2007, hence why many people are pissed off.
  13. Well to be fair, your wording was 'its just as quick to tip the boat'. Honestly, I would have no idea how this hoover system would work exactly but from your post all I know about it is that it takes the same amount of time as tipping it out. Mark9 has already corrected me but you are giving me totally different information here...
  14. So they're choosing their own convenience over guest comfort? And you all wonder why people slam Thorpe so much.
  15. I'd love that last photo, if I wasn't being completely blinded by the sun. Anyway, a truly memorable day. Ian and Mikey's organisation really does deserve recognition, it wouldn't have been the day it was without those two.
  16. I don't listen to much heavy metal, just normal metal. But if I'm honest, metal music probably takes up about 5-10% of my listening time... I really don't listen to it THAT much. And there are a lot more generic pop fans on this forum than rock fans, honestly.
  17. From this I can clearly see that you haven't listened to my playlist at all, so surely it's a little hypocritical that you should ask that we don't ignore your playlist? I know this because there is not a single heavy metal song in my playlist and only a few songs which have hints of 'Indie' music in them. I'm not actually a major fan of Indie in general, I only like a few artists from that genre. I will listen to your playlist and give it a fair review, I'm open to anything... Unless it's Bieber.
  18. I also agree, it happened to me once and I was fine for the first hour but once you reach lunchtime the day will really start to drag. Luckily for me that time I was saved by latecomers after lunch.
