Alton Towers News
I think Marc is right, but Instead of entirely getting rid of the new coaster, id put it back a year or 2, and use 2008 and 2009 and refurbishment years, tidy up everything, sort of Project Link, clean the queuelines and everything that Marc and Seb said (even though they've already been done, that should be just the beginning I feel). I think they should clean up Ranger County too, its had barely any care for a while, mainly Fungle Safari. The Characters and dissapearing each year, and its becoming very stale. They need to replace/bring back the characters, Clean them, things like that. Every week I also think the park should really go round and do things like scrape the gum of queuelines and things like the Colossus gum tree, instead of leaving things like that until the next closed season as by th end of the year, everything is looking worn and tattered. As with Altons new map, its good, the old one was probably better IMO, this one doesnt really give as much path info and directions, which is what Alton needs, its very easy to get lost between areas. The New ones more about illustrations of the rides and making them stand out. Thus sort of irredicating the thought of it being a map. But its still OK I s'pose.

Wow you really are planning ahead! I didnt know we were doing an AT meetup, let alone who driving! :)I dont think id be able to go to an Alton one, I dont go frequently (lucky to get one visit a year!) , and while my parents are starting to trust me having days with you fan peeps now, I doubt they'd let me get driven there by you. Especially to somewhere as far as Alton.- Thorpe Park - Opening Day Meet Up
Hah, was truly funny when me, James and beth were in the Inferno queue, then seeing Mike and phoning him up saying to turn around . Thanks for the fantastic day everyone who went, especially James, Beth and Mike who I really spent all of the day with!- Thorpe Park - Opening Day Meet Up

Vortex queue jumper!- Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Started the day with the..hour long queue for tickets and ap's =\. It actually killed me.Because of this, I got in at about 10.20, so walked down, saw queues, still small, and found James, Mike and Beth! generally that is who I spent most of the day with, but was really fun meeting up with people and having Teacups group ride! After the meetup and Teacups, most people went of into their own groups. Ohh yeah, and Holly ran off afterI mentioned the words "Lets ride Stealth". So we all went and stood around in KFC blah blah. Didint ride too much but meh, never really vared too much about rides, was all about seeing eachother really! Queues were bigger than expected, and Stealth, Colossus (even though it wasnt thorpes fault with Colossus) and Nemesis all being on 1 train, and X only on 2 didnt help too much really. Stealth and Nemesis front row were amazing! Erm, the meetup went well, everyone who was meant to be there was there I think? Tidal has a sort of tent thing on its splash area, and scaffolding by the drop. Rush only has 2 restraintless seats on, and one of the swings is off and just sitting there, all stripped. We found the other seats sitting in the arena later. Nothing going on with Detonator, I presume its still waiting for its cables. Never really saw in CC or what was with Samurai, as I never went up past the Colossus Cobra Roll.NEW things at Park:- Vortex has new restraints- New wooden bins - Thorpe Annual Pass now being sold for £64- Rumbas entrance has been cleaned- Colossus's Medusa pit was WORKING!- Quantum was open - Nemesis Infernos wheel covers have been cleaned- Infernos red wooden chips have returned - Tidal bridge has been re-paved (if thats a why to describe it?)Only got on:Stealth x1Inferno x2Quantum x1Vortex x1Teacups x2 :PBut meh.Pictures!Todays pictures are here: Click me!Theres 77 of them so if you want to see them, you can, theres a mix of maintenence stuff and general stuff in there.- Thorpe Park - Opening Day Meet Up

Hooray. I'm a sissy. I feel special.- Thorpe Park - Opening Day Meet Up
Just so you know, dont get confused if you see me in the ticket queue to get in, not the ap one, and hopefully at the front as I'm getting their early. Then running to Inferno. Front Row First ride .- Legoland
OMG Rehearsel day re-born at Legoland! Went legoland in 2006, so there was no Viking River Splash but meh, it was still really cool! Getting on The Dragon in the morning is the best way to go IMO, in the afternoon had a 90 minute queue, and Dragons Apprentice had a 45 minute queue, so it can get busy. One of my favourtie things there has to be Fairy tale brook though (yes, WTF). Just a relaxing boat ride through fantastic scenery and lego animatronics. Always has a small queue (was literally walk on for 2 peak days in the middle of summer?), so overall got like 20 rides on it. Legolands a great place to visit IMO. I love Pirate Falls, Fairy tale Brook, Boating School (even if its queue is so yawn, especially when you queue 90 minutes for it), and Dragons Apprentice. Those are the stand out things I CAN REMEMBER anyway, but there were other good things too, such as Normal Dragon (omg the castle is amazing, immensely themed and feels like a fortress), and Jungle Coaster (but was a bit of let down, doesnt match Rattlesnake) which has a fun drop and few bumps or so. Definately worth a visit to the Land of Legooo!- Thorpe Park - Opening Day Meet Up
Errm, Elementist, I'm 14 .And phill, remember we wont be the only group of enthusiasts there on opening day, as at 11.30 is the Southparks meet up, so dont get us confused with them, so asking which forum you are is a good idea. Wow, this is like the first time ever we've had new people go to the meetups .And Quickey, ill be joining you...on first public inferno train of 2008! Hopefully.- Park Music
Rejigged I'm thinking. With Loading and Dispatch music.- Air
Air first opened in 2002 (That WAS air right), and during construction known as SW5. It was the first B&M Flying Coaster ever built, and was recieved as either a slow or boring ride, or just pure brilliance. It may look Slow and boring (due to height and noise restriction), but looks can be very decieving... apparently. Discuss it, Hate it, Love it... - You Know You're A Fanperson When...
