  1. No, no! As much as I like Griffins, this is Zierer's best ride::blush:Interesting choice for Busch though. I hope they're able to pull it off for them. A cheaper manufacturer will possibly allow for money to be spent elsewhere, more creatively. That video on the previous page is a somewhat original layout, though I will admit it looks a little painful to ride.
  2. Will could it be something that's changed with your computer settings? Double check them, something may have changed; for instance, administrator settings or whatever.I would have said check your itunes store account, but since you said you couldn't change info within your existing account then it sounds like a problem with the computer.Double check both just in case.

I don't really have top 10's; I love too many attractions to choose, however, I would say Everest is one of the best attractions I've been on.The coaster part is good but it's just the climax of an intricately detailed story. The coaster portion exists purely as a transit system in which the climax of the story is told.I literally can't wait to go on it again and for my auntie and uncle to experience it.

Atlantis Main Theme Here is a clip from the Atlantis Theme at Legoland. Composed by Andrew McKenna. I really like it. :mellow:In fact I think this entire addition looks to be a solid one. I may have to visit Legoland soon.
  6. Hogsmeade does look awesome. I'm looking forward to spending a day just exploring Hogmeade itself and the shops. It looks phenomenal.I'm also one for not being a fan of Ripsaw Falls at all. It just feels so bare and tin shed like, especially compared with Splash Mountain which is one of my favourite dark/ water rides ever and is full of detail: you could go on it many times and still notice new details.Bilge Rat Barges on the other hand, is a genius attraction and is fully realised, immersive experience. It's hilarious as well; getting to look at everyone getting drowned. :mellow:I'm sad to hear you didn't get to experience River Adventure, Mark. It was having a scheduled refurb which many of the rides do during the quieter periods, especially the water ones.On your views about the various attractions around IOA- I do tend to agree. If you do Disney, then go to Universal, it does make you realise just how well Disney really do hide many of the backstage areas around their parks. The shed on Forbidden Journey is a shame, I've not heard much about it, I'll have to judge when I go for myself this summer.I've always said that Hulk is overrated and I personally don't think it's one of the better attractions, as well as Dragons. It seems to fizzle out and as a coaster leaves me feeling deflated after a powerful first half. I found it rough, too, as did other members of my family. Creatively though, I suppose it makes sense for it to fizzle out, as that what happens to the Hulk, he has intense rage which slowly comes back down.I love the effects and scenic design in Posideons Fury, though I find some bits a bit cheesy and can be a distraction to the wonderful, rich environment that the attraction immerses you in. I find myself against a potential Potter expansion, that will engulf this area. I personally found the Lost Continent theme much richer and more exciting, as faithful a vision as Potter is.What they did to Duelling Dragons' queue was sacrilege.
  7. Just because there's no track on-site, it doesn't mean construction hasn't started. How is the site looking these days anyway? Any sign of activity at all?If we remember, a similar thing happened with Saw, where construction just seemed to halt for a month. Much care has to be taken on the land to ensure that it's settled for the correct amount of time.We don't want any more attractions sinking.
  8. Phaha, no, I just love all themed attractions, regardless of manufacturer, and I'm passionate about the emotions that such attractions put people through.I agree, some aspects of the coaster do seem a bit strange, but I respect that it's different and I really want it to work and succeed. Not only for the park but for my own selfish enjoyment and that of others.Hopefully we'll get some early reviews soon, as employees have started riding it. Much like how reviews of the new Star Tours have emerged.
  9. ^ The first launch is 30mph, which gets it over that turn at the start of that testing video. It then plunges into a trench where it then launches to 60mph and races to the top of the tower. After the figure of 8 at the top of the tower, it then plunges into another trench, does an air-time hill, Rita style, plunges into another trench and then does that inclined corkscrew. After the MCBR, the pace slows a little whilst it does some twists in the old Rhino Ralley water section. The illusion was supposed to be that the water is running in the opposite direction to which you're travelling so it looks like you're going faster along the water. After that, it then launches 40mph into an air time hill, does some more twists and then goes into the brakes.
  10. I think you guys are being very negative about a ride you've not ridden yet! :mellow:Yes, it looks slow in videos, and for those that are saying that more tweaking is to come on American forums are just trying to kid themselves out of their own disappointment here.Busch and Seaworld are parks that focus on the spirituality of animals and create experiences to bring us closer to them both physically, and emotionally in order for us to learn more about them. For instance, Manta at Sea World, whilst not being the most intense ride out there, with exception of that pretzel loop, the whole experience is geared towards an intimate experience with the Manta Ray and simulates the beauty of "flight".Also bear in mind that Cheetah Hunt, from the start, has set out to be a family- thrill ride. The height restriction is 48 inches (1.22 metres), which will enable a large number of children from perhaps 7 and upwards, to ride this coaster. The marketing for this ride has all been focused upon the simulation of the speed and agility of the Cheetah and it's sister attraction- Cheetah Run, brings us closer to those Cheetah's in a similar way to Manta's walk-through attraction.Nothing about this project from official sources has stated that this ride will be extreme and intense, the language officials have been using has been very much about exhilaration, the beauty of the Cheetah and the interaction between the ride and these animals, this is because they want families to ride and enjoy it together. Any misconceptions about this ride being the most extreme and intense experience of their lives have been from fanboys around the world who have been hyping this up to be something that it was never going to be.

It was a very expensive episode; it was pushed from last season to this one because they couldn't afford it last year after the Beeb cut the show's production budget. The Ood was used to save some money after splashing the cash on other areas in this episode.Saying that it's not up there with the best, is of course, your opinion, which your entitled to. Take a look through these people's opinions on tonight's episode: Digital Spy Forums

That was certainly gorgeous!I was quite freaked out during the Tardis Corridor scenes as well. Wonderful, rich set design and atmosphere, top quality acting from both the main cast and guest cast. Well done Gaiman.
  13. Lol! I don't understand how that would be enjoyable though? Why would you do that to yourself?
  14. Vertical construction on big projects like this usually starts around August/ September time, what you get in the run up to that is ground works and initial infrastructure for the construction area.
  15. I'm glad you loved Animal Kingdom Mark. It's my favourite park out there; it's beautiful and the whole park is a work of art (except Dinoland USA.).The safari has had quite a few story lines over the years. During the very first previews, the climax of the ride ended in the poachers succeeding and involved a dead elephant prop at the end of the ride. However after complaints, they quickly rewrote that scene to have a happy ending.I've heard it's also changed again slightly within the last couple of years too. It seemed from your report Mark, that the poacher element is a lot less prominent than it once was.I agree with you with Kali River Rapids, although you've gotta love Disney for their visuals... even if the ride hardware isn't the best and there are better; I love the theme and it also has a mind- blowingly decorated queue-line along with Everest.Looking forward to hearing the rest of your report Mark. I'm so stalking those picture albums on Chris' Facebook.
  16. According to someone on TTF the numbers stand for metorites. They're all B&M coasters. More hype- not bothered if it's by an official source or not, it's great fun and you lot are getting well drawn into it all.

It's disgusting isn't it? Their Christianity has made them believe that having romantic feelings for a member of the same sex is the worst thing imaginable but they have no problem in destroying the life of another human- being.Though I could say that religion has already destroyed their lives.I suppose it's one saving grace, but if you read the whole article it does imply that perhaps it's just been postponed and there's nothing to say it wouldn't be re-addressed.It's horror stories like this that make me thankful for not belonging to any religion. What ignorance.

I've been neglecting this topic when it should be one I post in regularly, considering the course I'm doing and my future career. :)I love theatre, everything about it is exciting to me. Theatre can be so many things; in all honesty it has the possibility to be anything and mean anything to everyone. We all have our own perception on things, we may share similar outlooks on various subjects and situations, yet none of them are exactly the same. That's what I find such a beautiful notion with theatre- you put on a production and then ask members of the audience of their views on it, each one will be slightly different. The atmosphere is unbeatable IMO, a live audience, live actors, live special effects. Anything can happen there and then and you get immediate reactions from the audience. It's exciting, it's chaotic and it's a wonderful drama in itself, regardless of what story is being told.I must admit, I do not see as much theatre as I should. The last thing I saw was Pricilla, Queen of the Desert, which was pretty darn awesome. I loved the costumes, I love the songs and the general production of it all. I think the bus (which is called Pricilla for those that don't know) is brilliant. For those that haven't seen the film, I highly recommend it. Don't turn your nose at it straight away and please give it a chance. It's an ultimate feel good film about accepting who you are and allowing others to accept you too. It's all a big romp really with some hilarious one liners and electric songs and costumes to match. Though the latter half really touches on the emotions and has a rather large impact IMO. It certainly made my eyes glisten with tears a few times; especially in the theatre production. What I in theatre most though, is when it is taken outside the conventional venue and it's stripped back to its core. Theme Parks are theatre, to me, just outside of the typical venue. Every attraction is a piece of theatre; everything is staged to manipulate the emotions of the audience. More commonly now, we're seeing the introduction of live actors into our attractions, this just further confirms for me that it is all the same, just perhaps, in a more abstract way.Anyway, enough talk from me, I may elaborate further after a few people have had their say on all things theatrical. ;)EDIT- Yes, I've just realised this is a musical. I never understood why the threads are separate, it's not like either of them are busy enough to warrant it! It's all theatre isn't it?
  20. Holly babe, please stop posting with such a chip on your shoulder. Nobody has anything against you and as far as I know the only issue that has come up is you feeling as though you should be thanked. I'm surprised there is such a big fuss being made over this.Unfortunately, people react more to negative/ badly constructed posts because that's in our human nature to respond to these over the more positive ones. It's nothing against you. It's a fact of life that negativity creates more reaction than positivity. For instance, you'll remember bad experiences more than positive ones. There are plenty of members who construct brilliant posts and make excellent, valid points, yet they receive little recognition from members because they're too busy contesting against another members' posts and the good ones get lost in the not so good. Sadly the whole rep system is mostly a popularity contest; popular members will be repped more often than newer ones. Please stop taking it so personally Holly, just relax and know that there are more important things in life than receiving recognition for an act on a theme park forum.

Right so I'm a casual Gaga fan, I'm not usually a fan of music where a lot of effects are used on the vocal, hence why I much prefer her live performances to her records (she also does a pretty good ballad). I've just listened to Edge of Glory for the first time and got major goosebumps. What a great pop record.I think it's a great showcase of her vocals; she has a really soulful voice which I don't think many people give her credit for.

Wow. Just wow. Could you explain your ideas a little? Not sure if you're being serious or not.
  23. I knew of Spike and Cinders (but couldn't remember their names), though I've only ever seen them stand for about 5 minutes on that little podium in LOTD, looking sorry for themselves, waiting to people to make a fuss, before wandering off back into wardrobe. Walk-about characters need to go and pro-actively interact with guests, rather than just stand there. The Vampire characters for the special event were great but as far as I know, they were for the event only.
  24. I think it goes to show how little presence they have in the park when I have absolutely no idea of their existence.
  25. I feel ashamed to say that I have absolutely no idea what you guys are on about. Chessington has walk-about characters?
