  1. Whaaaaa? I swear I posted in here last night HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIDDERS!
  2. Lol this is what worries me about working somewhere that would involve ID checks, as I'm pretty bad at judging people's ages. I tend to think people are older than they are (so would probs not ask for ID and get fired...well maybe not, but you get my drift) I was ID'd for painkillers in Boots a few years ago...and the minimum age to purchase them was 16!! Was not impressed!! And then there was the time (also a few years ago) that I went to buy some alcohol in a local shop, and I showed my provisional licence...and the guy behind the till didn't believe me and said something about the photo (to be fair my hair was different, long in the pic with grown out fringe, short in real life with a fringe...but, NOBODY before or since then doubted the validity of the licence!) And of course, there had to be a grumpy looking woman in the queue behind me, and I ended up worrying what she would be thinking of me, if she thought I was some trouble-making "youngster" or something Since then I've had no issues, the staff in there have been extra friendly since and recognise me not to ID me It did knock my confidence a bit though! I mean, going out and buying alcohol isn't an everyday occurence (despite what some here may think of me Lol), and the less often you do something which you lose/lack confidence in, the harder it is. Although deep down, I knew that if I encountered any issues again, I could ask for a manager, who would hopefully have the sense to recognise a real ID from a fake one (I'm assuming anyway!). I ended up carrying both my pasport and my provisional around with me incase though :$ Of course, I know staff/companies and shizz have to be careful and all that, and when I'm 40 odd it will be a compliment and a good thing! To be honest, it sometimes doesn't bother me as I assume I will be ID'd and always have my provisional with me in my purse...but sometimes, and especially when the staff comment on how young I look, it can feel a bit demeaning!
  3. Not Spiderman, it will excite Liam too much (Although you could argue that that could be pretty frightening!) Slenderman sounds ideal, with your matchstick legs
  4. 83 reminds me of M83 Wooo!
  5. Loving the trip report so far Mark Hmm I still need to do mine I was so overwhelmed when I got home that I couldn't settle down to type it up, then I kept putting it off because there was so much detail I wanted to go into, it felt like an effort. Guess I'll just have to condense it somehow! And yes, that ending to Buzz Lightyear
  6. People. I try so hard to please people and make up for mistakes, but they just don't see it, they only see the negative things, or the way(s) I used to be. It's so frustrating because I know I'm becoming a better person, I feel better within myself, I can see where I'm improving. I just keep on hitting the same brick wall with these people. Another thing: I feel quite...outcast? Invisible? Not sure what word to use. People seem to be drifting away from me and now I just feel awkward with them, or like I'm not welcome. I seem to just be there but not part of a friendship group. They're all gradually dispersing into their own smaller groups. I miss the old days where I could have a good, proper chat with people, when I felt I had people to turn to, where I could "get away" and have a laugh.

    Mania Hub Chat

I agree with both Josh and Han, there needs to be a reason for people to join chat. The quiz was a great incentive! Josh - I believe there used to be a "specific chat time" which was 7pm Monday nights, back in 2011. Chat was always open but that was the scheduled one

    This Or That

I am left handed! ... Says it all really In answer to you, sir...time. Once time has passed, you can never have it back. It creates memories. Time is...life. Plus without time, there would be no time travel, therefore no Back To The Future, Doctor Who, or Time Turners in Harry Potter. Normal pizza crust, or stuffed crust?

    Television

My brother literally mentioned this a few moments ago; Vanessa Feltz is the first confirmed contestant I only started watching it when Ann Widdecombe was on it for the lolz, since then I've ended up joining ze mother and brother in the lounge to watch, partly for the comedy aspect I ended up getting quite into it towards the end last year
  10. Unless I win the lottery, no. Would love to though!
  11. Can I please shotgun a space in your car
  12. Hmmm, I've done the waterpark enough times tbh, it's all about the park, then sitting in the bar watching over the kids TPMers in Cariba Creek I may join, depends if I get round to buying a new bikini by then, as I currently own one which has stretched and gone baggy, and the other one I can only find the bottom half to! Also, anyone know why the website doesn't have a closing time for September? It just says Open - Open I'm guessing they haven't confirmed the times or they have changed them...or it's broken

    Confessions

  14. Great pics, would love to see more! Glad that I'm actually visible in these ones this time, rather than just the top of my head like the Swarm photoshoot I love the jumping ones! I can see myself on the train in one of the photos too, on the left, woo! And I love Ryan's photo too! My face though! I think this may have been at the exact moment that Ricky tickled me and I squawked My mouth is starting to open like I'm making a noise Such a great meet and one of my favourites this year, wonderful atmosphere, everyone is getting along well and lots of fun was had all round I shall be uploading my photos onto the book of face later, and possibly doing my TR

    Slammer

I have to admit that I got a bit excited and thought something quite serious had happened when I saw Jack had posted "R.I.P Slammer" on Thorpe's FB page... What a let down
  18. Lol Sarah I was thinking exactly the same Fish's face is priceless, pure advertising material right there! Great pics stretchy, and yeah it's a shame you couldn't get more!
  19. Gonna echo what others have said; yesterday was fantastic, I'll do my TR soon! Had a great day, not too busy even though there was a few school trips (not as busy as July will be though!) and managed to do all rides everyone wanted to do. Nice warm day too, I even caught the sun a bit on my face! Lots of laughs with everyone and was good to meet darkadder, stretchy and KingNemesis, although I didn't get to speak to them much, sorry guys! And as always, it was awesome to see everyone else too! The ERT event was fantastic. That 30 minutes went very fast though... Still, 6 rides on it were awesome I rode on second row, front row, twice on back row, second from back, then somewhere in the middle Despite having done front and back row before, it was a shock to experience the difference from going front row straight to back row! Also during all the rides, I was paying more attention to the forces and how much they vary; like the zero -g followed by THAT TURN It's made me appreciate the ride more, just like Colossus ERT did, but the original Nemesis still beats it by miles Afer this, the lucky 6 people who's names were pulled out of a hat to go up the lift hill. The rest of us got to walk around some of the ride area: starting off at the bottom of the lift hill, then going into the tunnel and then underneath the drop into it. Some of the red bark is still there We then divided into 3 groups and we had a "fastest finger first" quiz. I was with Alex, Ethan, Mr Fish, and two others (can't remember their names!) and we won! Our prize was...A TRIP THE LIFT HILL! Was a great surprise, I was so chuffed! But before that, we went to one other part of the ride area - next to THAT TURN! Low enough for even me to touch the track! Greasy fingers, woo! Was so fun being able to get so close to such an awesome, forceful part of the ride! Then it was a lucky trip up the lift hill for some of us! I walked up the left hand side with Alex and Phill, without harnesses as there are railings on both sides Was a great experience and the view was incredible, it was a big shame that we weren't allowed to take photos. I felt so lucky when I was stood looking down on the ride
  20. Ummm so like, where is everyone? Me, Alex and Ethan are the only ones here!
  21. Ah yes, Ian makes a good point! Can I ask why Frankie & Bennys isn't an option Or is it because we often go there after meals and people want variation? Just curious
