  1. They applied for planning permission for an arena thing on that grass area. Not too sure whats happening with that though.

Although I've just been informed that they have a combination of 1 & 3, 4 & 6 or 2 & 5 although I've only EVER seen or even heard of it being used on 4 and 6.

Every Rameses ride is setting 6 and 4.
  4. They haven't removed the areas though, each area still exists, its just rather than classifying the rides into areas on the map, they classify them into levels of thrill.
  5. Can I just ask why the Thorpe Park Quick Questions topic is locked?

Yeah it is slightly odd. I love the 2007 soundtrack (not keen on the 2008 one, it sounds too remixy), but it's just not great at the park. The ticking made it more fearful for me than the countdown cos you didn't know when you were gonna drop with the ticking, but hey, thats just how it goes.

Yes I prefer Detonator to Apocalypse too, I only did the stand-up one on Apocalypse and it still wasn't as forceful as Detonator. It's great how a rides soundtrack can change somebodys opinion on a ride. Apocalypses tension seemed to be created by the whole ride, station and area having an industrial / run down theme to it (although that could just be Drayon's bad maintainence ), Thorpe achieved that tension on Detonator just by having 4 speakers at the top.
  8. A belated happy birthday Hope you had a good day.
  9. Whatever happened to warn levels being a personal thing

Correct There used to be speakers on the trains back in the old days that played helicopter and sci-fi sound effects etc.
  12. Should have gone to the SouthParks meetup on the 14th and had an all-day wristband for £6! :)Personally I think Rage is a let down, and I don't think its that exciting, but it's ideal for a developing park like Adventure Island. I do expect Saws drop to be a lot more intense.
  13. They probably would, but they shouldn't. It's firmly attatched, and there will be enough clearance that makes is pyhsically impossible for riders to touch it.

Interesting read there Ian :)Sorta makes sense now, although it never actually occured to me that TV and HPH don't have coloured lenses until now. As for HPH though, doesn't that work on a different system to make 3D images because its UV and stuff, rather than projectors?
  15. Nice one :)Are these saw blade things supposed to spin?

A treat for the people on here then who steal Time Voyagers and Hocus Pocus Hall glasses
  17. My guess after 2 years of being told they're coming soon, and Phill then leaving, is never.
  18. Yeah thats what I did, needed Monorail pics. A black home page with Fotowhizz 2002 - 2008 isn't very promising though =[
  19. I noticed that earlier. They still have pages for 2009 stuff though but if they have then its a shame.

Just like any other actor, he has videos on his website as samples of what work he has done, and as a showreel? Much the same as you having a CV.
  21. I know exactly what you mean, I look at that picture of the queue being constructed and think oh dear its a cattlepen queue, which isn't inside the building.

I see you have a liking for The Sims. Update your computers security!

Yeah the Dorset office is the UK head office of Merlin. The Chessington office is the studios HQ.
  24. James replied to humjosh's topic in General Discussion
Tussauds Studios became Merlin Studios, they do still make ride themes, ride videos, themeing (ie. The Peugeot Driving School at Alton, and Hellgate entrance), and the waxworks for Madame Tussauds. Studios North is behind Towers Street, Madame Tussauds Waxworks are made at Merlin Studios in Acton, and then there is the HQ (I believe) just down the road from CWOA in the Silverglade industrial estate. For Saw, I would expect either the official theme, or original compositions to go with videos, but who knows.

I think Mr H summed it up nicely, but yeah basically I'm not wrong because that picture isn't a Huss Enterprise.
