  1. I have a question. Are despatch themes (like Stealth's) played automatically when the button is hit to to despatch a train? Also, are ride themes (like Colossus' queueline), played off a memory chip or CD in a piece of equipment seperate to the ride controls equipment?
  2. tpkabz, it's probably best not to talk about fights here. And besides, I hate queue-jumpers. Call me a grass, but if anyone jumps in front of a queue I'm in, especially in front of me, I'll report it, and they won't know it until they think they're about to get on a ride. The amount of times I have seen someone jump in a queue, reported them, and seen them not get their ride is shocking.

I got bored recently:Song: Thrillseekers (sing it along to Human by The Killers)I did my best to noticeWhen the call train down the trackUp to the platform of surrenderI was brought but others were slackAnd sometimes I get nervousWhen I see an open doorClose your eyes, clear your heartCut the cordAre we human or are we thrillseekers? My ride is ready, my hands are sweatingAnd I'm in the queue, looking for the weakestAre we human or are we thrillseekers?Pay my respects to life and deathSend my condolences to allGive my regards to those who couldn’t do itThey always tried, unfortunately they fallAnd so long to devotionYou thrilled me every way possibleWave goodbye, wish me wellI’m at the top, this ride is so unmissableAre we human or are we thrillseekers? My ride is ready, my hands are sweatingAnd I'm in the queue, looking for the weakestAre we human or are we thrillseekers? Will your system cope with itFeel the need to vomit? There is no message we're receivingLet me know, is the ride refusing? Are we human or are we thrillseekers? My ride is ready, my hands are sweatingAnd I'm in the queue, looking for the weakestAre we human or are we thrillseekers? You've gotta let me knowAre we human or are we thrillseekers? My ride is ready, my hands are sweatingAnd I'm in the queue, looking for the weakestAre we human or are we thrillseekers? Are we human or are we thrillseekers? Are we human or are we thrillseekers?Sorry.
  4. Dragon Falls only 15 minutes? Blimey, it's not often you get that. The way the have cut back the trees near the faces in the wall on the drop makes it look so much better now. It was overgrowing majorly and needed doing.
  5. The curse of the S strikes again!
  6. I feel safe in all restraints, except for Rush.
  7. The new MDTP might have the 3 years schedule "dropped" though - e.g, freedom!
  8. I'm sure there's another coaster on the cards for 2011...is there?
  9. Too right, it does! It's been quiet like that since about 2005, about 2003 it was louder. And dust the cobwebs, vampires and cobwebs may usually go, but with this, it doesn't!
  10. Well I dunno. Anything's possible these days. What if it caught fire on the launch, stopped up the top, and the fire continued on the train?
  11. I have the version without trumpets and for the sake of a few seconds I am happy with it. Besides, I have the Vortex theme with trumpets in it, so it makes up for it there. And the Vampire tune version I have has 7 chimes of the clock, whereas the original has only 5.
  12. The ride has run like clockwork since it's downtime in late 2007.
  13. Last May when Stealth got stuck at the top...that train was up there for like 3 hours. How heavy is an entire Stealth train? Because I heard that it's about 10 tonnes. And for 10 tonnes to be stuck up 205ft high for 3 hours is scary for some people. I mean, imagine if that train fell off the side of the track for some reason...all that weight come crashing down.
  14. Me too, although this is fantastic news. At last, the debate can stop about when one is coming, and work can begin. Although it's good news, I have my suspicions too. I looked forward to Chessington's hotel during its construction and was quite surprised when it opened under a Holiday Inn brand. Either Merlin go with one name (like Holiday Inn) for all their hotels, including the Alton ones, or they don't at all. Simple. Mix 'n' matching isn't good. Yes, the Chessie one is OK, it's modern, smart and on your doorstep, but it is a Holiday Inn.I'm still a little confused as to where it will go, as are others, but hey, it may be so close to the park we can all feel the rumble from Nemesis and Colossus.
  15. Bubbleworks is the only ride with dusty bubbles! I've noticed they've cleaned them up this year, they look more shiny again, against the light. Near the Duck 'n' Dive Revitalisor it's lacked though, there's one dusty one and one half bubble, where it's bottom half has fallen off! If you look at the others you can see the horizontal join in the middle of them.
  16. Vampire's queue is looking mighty fine, except for the shade of purple on the new handrails. And the snack kiosk is great too. Has the bubblegum tree gone?
  17. Whoever sorts out the small effects at Chessie should get over to Thorpe Park and sort some of theirs out.
  18. I'm sure it will come back at some point. Yes, it gives me goose pimples too.

Hi guys.I just made a simple error a couple of days ago. And I fixed it pronto. I go away for a couple of days and come back to find people bickering over what I said. Mad.And to quote Mark9: I'd rather have some misguided posts then the bitching that comes from your posts. He's right. We all bicker here instead of advising others and pointing them in the right direction. It all build up and looks what happens. Oh right, OK. Have you seen some of your ideas? Like your idea to put an eating area in Fungle's old space, right opposite the Barbecue and grill? Best idea of the year, that.
  20. Go and ride Stealth then.Thorpe are probably trying to get everyone to ride Saw. In other words, as the old slogan went: Yorkie, it's not for girls. So Stealth isn't for girls (weak people), so go and ride Saw, e.g Thorpe's brand new rollercoaster that keeps on shutting down!
  21. I haven't heard that this year so far. Thank god they ditched the new "Tony Blair" announcement that was short-lived.
  22. Is the the Bear Hunt back with CCR now? Because last year, whilst it was closed, I noticed all bears (including the one with his head in the honey pot) were put around Loggers Leap for riders to enjoy.
  23. You can see why I like it. You look at the real Saw and think "Oh well, we've got this, deal with it." Are these syringes the squirt we all recieve in the inline twist before heading outside? Also, I'm guessing they're starting to use the outside part of the queue now, is it any good? I've yet to walk round that for the first time. Do you get good views of the ride and CCR, and is the barbed wire above you reachable, even if you jump up?
  24. The loading music is the best - is that the one with all the female announcements that ends with "And remember, size matters" and then it's main beat starts up? It's so good that it loops too.
