  1. I've been to Alton Towers this weekend. For the first time since 2005 I've actually been on the Skyride - whoohoo! And it was my first time on Rita since 2006, the damn thing was closed last year.I had my last ride on Corkscrew, almost knocked my head on a support on the Runaway Mine Train () And Nemesis and Air, The Flume, Hex, Congo, Charlie and any other ride I've missed all thrilled me to bits. However, how boring is the Burger King in Cred Street?! All the fun theming has gone. At least the annoying Ronald in his car at the top of the building doesn't make that annoying sound anymore. And finally, does anyone know where I can get hold of a copy of the current entrance music? It's really good.
  2. *shudders with fear...then smiles and realises how awesome this all is* Well...yeah. Is the dive loop the one in the middle of the picture or the loop after the drop from the tower? You've just described Slammer's colours. Hmm, I'm not so sure about a pre-show room but warning signs may go up. I'm sure we've all seen the large black sign as you enter X Sector at Alton Towers. If you've never bothered to read that, have a read, it makes interesting reading and makes you wonder if they're serious. The sign I am talking about can be seen in this picture, to the right and left as you enter. So what happens here, does Mondial come to Thorpe Park and pick it up and transport it using themeselves? You'll be surprised at what they don't know. One told me earlier this year that the coaster will dive underneath Loggers - I think not. The electrics and ride's operating system are close to going in once the station is a bit more completed. Thankyou. As for the name, well Saw is brilliant but I don't like the way it's kinda linked upto movies. Oh well.
  3. The new skin is alright but I prefer the old one. And the top is OK with the Assistant and messages etc. I love it - "It's great to see you, Theme Park bloke".The font sizes were OK before but now they're either too big or too small. Easy way round that - press Home on your keyboard. I do it all the time.
  4. Katy Perry - mmm... :)Pizza Hut buffet or Express?
  5. You're the luckiest bloke here - what did it feel like?
  6. Don't be sorry mate, I'm please you found this. This hasn't been recorded, I'm sure of that. Besides, the track doesn't even loop. :)Also, can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a copy of the Hocus Pocus Hall music at the entrance? It's not the main theme I'm after, I already have that. It's the slow, spooky theme I'm after. You might sometimes hear it when strolling past as you walk to and from Market Square.
  7. He's a newbie and I think he's right. All coasters turn out messy! Colossus and N:I are both entangled when looking at them from all angles! I've been riding Nemmie 4 years this month and it's only recently I've got to learn the track route off by heart! Either track or queueline? Hmm, maybe people may get scared and trapped in the queueline here, and bottle it?! I assume you mean the land to the right of Stealth as you wait to launch? Three more coasters?! Baby, this is good! And although it's a shame they'll have to use the land to the left of the Lost City, what goes there shall be interesting! Access to there should be interesting. I am under the same impression. For months I thought we were getting a flyer too, but we have been let down. Don't get me wrong, Dylan is looking hot and I can't wait for it, but a flyer in Thorpe somewhere must surely be one of the three coasters they plan to build? Crikey, more safety than Stealth! You must be having a laugh? Buzzsaw is a great name for it. And who cares if the name is Obvious?I am really excited about this. I can't believe they have got the track completed already! What is Thorpe's record for getting a track up? Less than a month?
  8. I love the Chessie entrance theme, and after all these years of believing it was made for the park, it seems I was wrong. It's made for Heide Park, and it's been modified slightly for Chessington, with bits added in. The Heide Park version doesn't sound as good but it still sounds great.
  9. No, he's right - usually you wait no more than about 20 minutes. 50 is probably the longest I've seen it at.
  10. Son of a bitches - I wonder if Churchill could sort me out?!Like I say, good POV of Colossus and Nemmie on Merlin Media Vault. Shame about the music ruining it. And Alton Towers...?
  11. SkiingVirgin Radio or Absolute Radio?
  12. So at this rate it looks likely that it'll be complete by Christmas, with a few tests starting then? Once the track is finished and the operating system installed in the station, do they need to connect all the electrics? I understand all the electric foundations are ready. Are you sure? They all look the same, I've seen enough coasters made by different manufacturers. What the...? - can someone explain? Agreed. Why the hell isn't it going to move? What's the point. Rattlesnake's rusty one does. Also, concrete rings aren't as expensive as they look. Click here for a page on all of the different sizes that are available. Look at the weights - to those cranes, it's not much, but to forklift them is so much more risky.
  13. Blimey, sounds like there's a theme park opening over the pond with all second hand rides! I wonder if Rodeo's there.
  14. I saw this on Balls Of Steel when the episode was first broadcast on Channel 4. It was shortly after I had started going to Thorpe Park regularly. Hilarious - everything he does is funny. Second to him, Neg's Urban Sports is funny. A tad? Hmm, I'd say more than that.

Does anyone know the name of the font used generally on Channel 4 and Big Brother?Example:
  17. Yes, it's great. On a Google search for "Thorpe Park", TPM is 7th in the list. So I bet a lot of people choose it over TPG.
  18. RevelationDirty Sanchez or Jackass?
  19. Well this is sad news. We all knew this was coming eventually.I am going to Alton Towers later this month for a couple of days so I shall make sure I have 2 or 3 rides on the Corkscrew.I understand Corkscrew is being removed not only because it’s and old time to retire, but because of a new area coming in 2010. Where is this new area going, near Ugland? And will Rita be put under the new area name and Ugland be wiped off the map? Also, what will happen to Corkscrew, will it be dismantled and sent back to the manufacturer? Or will it be melted down and sold? Whatever happens, the trains will almost certainly be used again on another rollercoaster somewhere else in the world.
  20. Oh yes, park videos. I've got just 2 words about the videos in the queuelines after my visit last Sunday.Sugar Puffs.Sod that cereal (and the ads)!
  21. You could be right, but I'd still like to know from a mod.Mods, if you are reading...(Anyone's damned if they think I'm writing that long post again )
  22. Is Vampire working OK now after it's recent problems? I've noticed there's a new gate at the entrance to stop anyone entering the queueline, looks quite smart actually.
  23. Has anyone noticed how the Carousel theme is one of Alton Towers' many themes in Towers Street?! I think a download of it can be found at Towers Times.
