  1. Seemed like the most appropriate place to put this.A friend of mine booked her ticket online today for Saturday and choose the Print at Home option. However, because she's under 16, apparently her mum has to be there with her when she goes through the gate for 'identification purposes'. I'm foreign to the whole book online idea, so does anyone know if this is standard procedure or anything, as it does seem a bit pathetic..Cheers.

Let me rephrase that question to: 'Am I the only one who dreams about coasters?'
  3. Well, at least he can look forward to getting FUDGE on GCSE result day. (Of course, I'm joking. I'm sure he'll get great grades).

Am I the only one who had the normal dream about coasters?
  5. Bah, not that big a deal really. Just one day really; it's not like he'll miss that much. I've skipped school plenty of times to go to TP - SAW AP day, opening days and just random days to go when it's quiet. In the end, the only reason why I didn't go is because all but 1 lesson I had today was really important for me. If it had been opening day yesterday, I'd have been there.
  6. Any other year and I would have had a mysterious hospital appointment in London to go to so I could have the day off school. . However, Yr11 is too important for me to skip a day off school.Bring on the busy Saturday though. :/

The second video gives me hope, yet I still feel a tad disappointed by the outcome we're seeing so far. Hopefully, ride effects, lighting, audio, etc will compensate for what appears to be a below-par ride. Then again, you kinda have to expect that the experience as a whole will be good, considering Wardley is behind the project. As for keeping the secret weapon a secret, well, they let the cat out of the bag now. Anyway, I've known what the secret was for a year now...Anyway, this world first isn't a world first in the first place. Winjas anyone..

I think it is classed as a Vekoma Enigma, not Junior. However, I do think at one point it might have been 1.2m (though I may have my facts wrong there).
  9. ^Obviously the timers on Fastrack signs haven't been sorted out.
  10. I shall be a pain again, but the walkway taken up by SAW Alive and it's queue line - can we incorporate that in our retheme in some form if we so wish?
  11. Question from me. What happens to SAW Alive? Is that gone, or can we retheme that as well?
  12. That is such an over exaggeration and generalisation. I too am a young person and young people such as myself would not be appealed by the in your face map. For example, I'm going next Saturday - I'm taking someone, same age as me and you, who hasn't been to the park since she was 4. She hasn't been to a theme park since she was 10. When I showed her the map today, she absolutely hated it. In fact, the first thing she said was "I'm glad I'm going with you or else I'd get lost." Granted, that may be a bit of an exaggeration - but still, it fails its objective of a MAP. I showed a few other friends as well, and their genera opinion was dislike as well. We are all young people and are not appealed by the in your face map that has been set. In the end, each to their own and all that - but just remember not all young people are appealed to such ideas.
  13. ^No repainting for those rides as far as I know.I too hate the map. The rides look awful and negotiating around the park will be hard for first timers. It just looks horrific. On a plus note, I like how they've got the Vicar of Thorpe still Christening Stealth - obviously they're planning on bad luck this season.
  14. ^That's only 8 inversions. XD
  15. Intamin do offer a 12 inversion style as well. Imagine what that would be like....
  16. The biggest SAW fan I know of. Favourite films: SAW I - VI, favourite ride: SAW - The Ride, SAW ride count: 157.
  17. ^Real name is Jamal. (I'm having another go as I didn't have anything said about me )
  18. I would not say I'm obsessed with Thorpe Park. However, I would say I am extremely interested in theme parks (some may call it obsessed - by everyone has their own definition and to what degree). It's just coincidental that TP is the one I knot most of because I live very close to it. Closed Season is always bad for me. As 'theme parking' is my main hobby (probably me only hobby ), I get moody at times during the CS. This season has been slightly worse as I've had to readjust to March openings.

    MTDP

SAW was not supposed to be ready for 2008. Nothing was 'supposed' to be ready. The previous MTDP stated they were thinking about an 08 coaster. Even then, everything was probably messed up a bit after the Merlin takeover. Inferno and Colossus were added when the park was still seen as a 'family park'. Tussuads had clear intentions of where they wanted to take the park, and had the finances to do so. Therefore, they were able to add 2 coasters in 2 years to catapult them with the big guns.

I think they deserve a ban from life more than you do to be honest. I'm sorry, but that is disgusting (sick smiley goes here).
  21. Totally agree. Well, most of the time anyways..

When I first saw, I hated it. Then it has just grown and grown and grown on me. :PWas more interested in seeing something more related to the Wraiths, but I'm sure that will come in due time.
  23. Well, not now as James6 isn't online. :DThough I can't speak for James personally, he'll probably post a new one this week or next week. I gave him a few ideas yesterday and he may need a bit of time to sort it all out.
