Ha ha ha! Sorry to laugh at you, but I just love hearing stories like this. I went to see it a few weeks ago now and someone who I was with was hiding behind their coat for half the film. In fact, I was having to give her a running commentary of what was happening: "Camera's still rolling. Nothing's happening. Nothing's happening. You can look now." At which point the scariest (in my opinion) part of the film happens. Classic! She did have to sleep with the light on for a couple of nights too! :lol:As cruel as it sounds, it's people like you and her which make scary films so much more enjoyable and funnier, yet making it sightly more creepier for you.
  4. I'm in the same boat. The weekend does seem very interesting and is, of course, something I would love to do. However, my family have been planning a trip there later in the year; so unfortunately I have to miss the weekend so that I can do for about 3 days later in the year and do everything. So yeah, bit awkward, but a great shame I have to miss out on it.
  5. Despite the fact you set up the joke, I said it first - so it was my idea...
  6. OI!! I'm a PC and Windows 7 was MY idea! (Sorry, that had to be said sooner or later)
  7. I have done it, but am redoing it January. I can't one off a D the last time round, which isn't good considering I'm predicted an A / A*. I got one off a B for my reading / listening paper and am redoing that in May as well. :SSo, basically, while I was trying to revise for the mocks, I was trying to learn the speaking, as well as my other Coursework, off by heart - and now have to spend Christmas revising both of them - joy.
  8. Ah, mock exams. They are just so fun, aren't they!?Already had 10 this week, with 1 tomorrow and 2 on Monday. Had my French mock today and utterly failed it. Reading paper was meh to be honest, got to the Writing Paper and forget every word of French that I knew. Put my head on the table, begun to a little, then realised 15 minutes had passed. It was such a fail. But then again, if I didn't have 5 different French teachers in 5 years, all of them rubbish, and if I didn't have a teacher this year who is an utter idiot who teaches us nothing yet expects us to do everything, it might be a bit better!!! Half of rant over. Now, mock exams in general. They are just a pain in the butt! I mean, come on, in 6 days, I have to write 13 exams. Today I wrote 4 exams (History, French, Biology, Chemistry!!) and it was just such a pile up. And when you consider that I've already had 3 English papers, in which I'm writing about 4-6 sides, an RE paper (in which I wrote 8 sides) a History paper (I wrote 4 sides) as well as C1 Maths paper (with TONS of working out), then it is just so annoying. My hand seriously hurts, along with my shoulder. SO yeah, basically, I hate it all. Still got the ever so lovely Geography paper tomorrow, as well as a Physics and Critical Thinking on Monday. The thing that annoys me most is you can't just say "Oh, they're just mocks" because they get used as predicted grades, etc. (as well as teachers yelling at you if you do badly), but you can't prioritize them over everything else because in the end, they are just mocks. (And don't mention I'm contradicting myself there...) Argh! Just so blooming stressful!!Rant over (well for now, I guess).(Oh yeah, in case anyone is wondering, I'm in Year 11, but did my Maths GCSE in a year, hence why I've moved onto C1 of the AS Level Maths, as well as doing AS Critical Thinking this year as well...)

Well, I personally don't know what to say. If I'm honest, I did have some sympathy for Theme Park Bloke after he receives so much abuse, however, after that post and just his behaviour in general of late, I've lost any that I did have. I feel that this is just so over the top, and feel that it is members such as Theme Park Bloke who are ruining the forum. Over the past couple of months, I have became a quieter member on this forum and more been a reader than a poster. However, if pettiness like this continues (and I don't just mean from Theme Park Bloke; everyone else on here isn't perfect) then I may just give up on reading this forum, which would be a shame. Just my two cents there...Anyway, would just like to thank the admins and the mods for their hard work on the forum in general, quality of posts has improved and all the work you are putting into the forum is appreciated.
  10. 2010 - Raise entrance prices to £37. Car park charge of £2.2011 - Raise entrance prices to £39. Rises to £40 at FN. 2012 - Raise entrance prices to £42 after June. Car park charge rises to £3.50.2013 - Raise entrance prices to £45. Car park charge rises to £5. Hotel opens.2014 - Raise entrance prices to £47. Car park charge creeps to £6 eventually.2015 - Raise entrance prices to £49. Goes to £50 at FN. Car park charge rises to £7.2016 - The park FINALLY refurbishes the entrance and the car park to make it rise from 'Critically bad' to 'Adequate'. Keeps prices the same... oh my!2017 - Raise entrance price to £51. 2018 - Raise entrance price to £55. Car park charge of £9.2019 (10 YEARS TIME)The entrance price is £60 to get (£55 for 'young thrillseekers', who are classed as under 1 metre). Car park charge reaches £10. Hotel prices are £259.99pp based on 2 days and 1 night at the park. That is for a single bed room. A family of four wishing to stay for a long weekend (arriving Friday evening, leaving Sunday evening) will be charged £469.99pp (irrespective of age). For a family of for any of period of time, it will cost £429.99pppn. A family of 5 (which will take up 4 rooms) will cost £509.99pppn. I'd say that's rather realistic.
  11. You still haven't given the answers and results for the past two quizzes. Without sounding rude, can we have them, maybe it might get more interest in again.Anyway....

Would I be called Scrooge for not liking all of these Christmas-sy smilies? Yeah, it's December, yeah it's nearly Christmas, but still, seems there's no escaping it... :S
  13. Just out of interest, why is Matty22 unable to do it this week? Also, when will we be given the results and points for the previous round?
  14. I've got one cat, Tigabellarockafella. She's 16. Got 1 hamster, called Charlie. One rabbit, Sandy. Three gerbils, Milk, Tea and Coffee. Tons of fish. And 2 newts, Fred and Ned.

    MTDP

Well, the current MTDP was from 2005-2010, so by all rights, they can give it to the council by some point in 2010.

Those 3 islands are currently being constructed / nearing completion. They will be used for future developments, possibly the 2012 coaster and maybe in 2015/6 coaster, along with a couple of flats I'd assume. The back lines connecting them will probably be bridges of sort to get from one to the other.Hope that helps.
  17. Rather unfortunately, I've only be stuck on Slammer - the restraints failed.
  18. Can this include outside brands? (Like ones you can find down the high street, and not just TP?)
  19. No problem. Just an idea. Not saying you would lie or anything, but just so we know and all. Anyways...
  20. 30 in the Thorpe Park one.28 on the Alton Towers one.18 on the Cheesie one.Not too bad I'd say. I'm actually surprised that all three parks have one attraction each with the word 'Galleon' in them.
  21. I think if you keep it at one quiz a week, it would be better. That way you won't run out of questions so quick. :(Also, could you state where you found out the answers after each quiz. For example, with question 5, just state where you found out the answer so we know you're not lying. Hope that makes sense.

I highly doubt we will see anything on Colossus' lake. They have built out far enough, perhaps even too far. The noise from the ride and audio can be heard from outside the park, building any closer woud onyl cause more noise issues. Therefore, the Stealth lake is the only feasible option.
  23. Go either this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday if possible. Park will be pretty much dead and most rides and mazes will stay under 45 mins. Will get a bit busier later in the day of course, especially once schools finish. Remember you have to prebook for your tickets (even if you're an AP holder) from the 24th, which is next Saturday. As mentioned above, make sure you go to your first choice maze about 30-45 minutes before it opens (4pm). This way you'l beat standing in a queue and then can get on with others. If you do do the above tip, I'd personally say do Asylum of Se7en first. Why? Well, they are the closest together, so you can queue before one opens and get on it straight away, then go on the other one straight after - and hopefully avoid a massive queue. Also, these are the 2 I've heard the best reviews from.Stay as late as possible. Rides in the dark are so much better!"Finally, enjoy the day!
