2019 advert is released... Wow... A truly dreadful advert like no other...

Hello TPM peeps, The CWoA meet will take place on Saturday 18th May  Plan for the day is pretty simple  Gates opening to 10:15 - Meet outside Dragons Fury 10:15 onwards - Rides 1ish - lunch (People can go off to different eateries) 2pm - close - more rides  The TPM meets are always great fun and the idea is to go round as a group getting to know each other, have fun and spend time with people who share the same interests. If you have never been to a meet before don't feel put off, we were all there once (myself not that long ago!). Once you get there you'll feel a part of the group straight away. The current wood panelling yes is beyond dreadful, that I can't deny. Even the material around windows and walls is coming away (one creating a lovely... Bottle holder). I just thought the supports which everyone was going on about didn't look quite as bad as they did in pictures.

I thought the opposite and that it didn't look as bad in person compared to the photos. The dome especially didn't really bother me. You should have said you were on park, we could have said hi!

Was a fantastic day out at the island like no other. Thanks to everyone for coming. Had you have come you could have done your own review. ?

Very odd, I used to plan a rewards trip to Thorpe in the last week of March, but we were the only ones there! Guess everyone has finally cottoned on to the fact that summer trips are a stupid idea!

Table booked for 10 at 7:15, allowing for time to leave the park and get to Staines. Anyone else wishing to come will have to arrange their own table. See you all Saturday!

Excuse the double post. Had difficulties booking a table for TGI Fridays for more than 8 on the Saturday and thought Pizza Hut would be silly as people will likely go to Pizza Pasta for lunch as with most TPM meets, but Harvester has lots of availability. Who is actually coming to the meal? Please let me know, otherwise I shall just book a table for 10. Also let me know if you really don't want Harvester and we can rethink. I will create a FB group for those going a few days before as well. Thanks.

Interesting! Although I haven't done it I have genuinely only heard people be positive about it. Look forward to your review as ever!

HAHA - I love how they got round to painting the beams like everyone wanted and then totally destroyed the rest of it taking ALL the wood down. They have replaced the speakers with inferior ones and have a lovely silver trunking for the wiring. Hilarious! Pic from TPM FB page...

Looks like the first ride announced for Paultons Park. A gyro swing type thrill ride, possibly a discovery from Zamperla? This area could be a game changer for the park!

Yes, when you include the fact that for normal full sugar coca cola, there are no longer any of the flavours apart from the original since the sugar tax! A pain!

Good summary Matt, Such a shame the shortcut bridge has gone. I hope they don't leave the fences white, it doesn't go. Also the Colossus area looks vile filled in, so also hope something happens there. Liking the new screen, looking forward to the old school merch and nice to see the focus on food and beverage rolling out across the resort.

Looking fantastic already. Can't wait to see the finished product, and eventually ride it.

Good riddance. Much better without it. In fact since the ride added VR I appreciated "Air" a hell of a lot more! VR just isn't for coasters IMO. (or dark rides ?

With the fiasco of rides not being able to operate under 5 degrees???? Can't see it. To me it looks like stars, rather than snow.

Umm I am pretty sure most years ticket prices have a tiny increase half way through. Pizza Pasta definitely went up in price a couple of times during the season (It then had no bbq base pizza in my last two visits in October) The car park at Thorpe went up twice! Hmmmm!

Yes I was thinking in the furthest corner, but certainly a valid point regarding traffic spilling onto the road. If it had a long dedicated road like some of those parks abroad that pay on entry it would be easier. Putting a contactless reader on the barrier ticket machine would reduce the hold ups that the car park regularly gets due to people having not paid.

It isn't designed for it no, but it really wouldn't be that difficult to change, but we all know they wouldn't change it. The pay as you go in works very well in many parks abroad.

Ooooo! Sticking up for Marhelorpe are we??? ? It's a running joke that those of us of the last couple of Thorpe TPM meets would understand, because we know how much Marhelorpe loves Walking Dead Ride! But back to Room on the broom, regardless of what the outside looks like it will still be a hit for most families who visit the park.

You're going to be rethinking that when you have been to Cedar Point! Oh and the outdoor queue of Walking Dead is one of the best out there. How many queuelines let you sit down. ?

They have repainted burger kitchen into a less colourful style so would imagine it will be considered its own area. What's funny though is a proportion of the old Charlie facade can still be seen to the left of the dungeon untouched (see the Towers street link Stuntman707 posted).
