  1. Detonator scares me more than any ride I have ever been on! Never really feel fear on any ride, but as soon as I look at Detonator, my heart drops!
  2. I could do that, however tri-railed coaster's like SAW and quad-railed coasters like stealth are a NIGHTMARE to edit because you have to remove the entire background which is harder than it sounds. Stealth just looks terrible and saw, who really wants saw? I could do inferno definitely, but it wouldn't look the same with several different rides in the background, it was why the white silhouettes where removed earlier in the year. I'll have a little play when I'm back home on Saturday. If anyone has decent pictures of the car park entrance, I could fob it off as Colossus, but even normal Colossus track is very hard when its all one colour.
  3. I was going to post the same thing Pluk!! But I do think they could do with bombing it and starting again
  4. (yes they still have the trains for the person that asked) Who knows It be a 'SAW - The Ride' Occurrence with the 'will it- wont it' scenario

No need to be Rude now I've not experienced it yet, however LIKE I said in previous posts, I enjoyed it until the HA HA HA bit...
  6. It's just as the wheels warm up they glide along the track better, for example Colossus in cold weather drags around the track for the first couple hours, but on hot days the ride whizzes around. In the morning the coaster time ranges from 55-60 seconds (top of the lift to complete stop in brakes) whereas on hotter days the barrage coaster time ranges from 44-48 seconds. Not sure what coaster time variations are on Nemesis Inferno but they most likely be similar in differences
  7. It does depend on what time of the day you ride, as with any ride they speed up throughout the day

Hope that's not aimed at me I did say I was enjoying it until the HA HA HA bit I find it funny though as Mark9 was explaining to Marc and I that they were evacuating the ride/area as the 'HA HA HA' bit was playing.

I've heard a lot of people say ''It gets incredibly annoying and unbearable when you've been waiting 3 hours". These people obviously haven't had to work with Storm Surge music all day

Apparently Gerstlauer can't get trims/MCBR's to work.... SAW - Overshooting them and Smiler, being slowed down so much it can't make the rest of the circuit. At least SAW's is rectified, and hopefully Smiler will be worked on in the coming weeks! Somewhat excited to ride it Thursday, unless it's closed of course... Also, the 'soundtrack' was posted earlier on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpAKsWssXpA&fb_source=message I was actually enjoying it until the 'HA HA HA, HA HA HA' bit started.
  11. I was waiting for this since yesterday, Mark!

It's probably a lot harder to judge the queue length when you can't see, and only 8 seats are occupied as opposed to 20...
  13. X

I am pretty sure it was made in house..
  14. How can they 'reduce queues' - are you suggesting they turn people away for your own enjoyment?
  15. Something I noticed in 'Questions to THORPE PARK' topic, which was posted earlier today: Hinting at something on a large scale change to the park map at least as well as further investment around the park
  16. It is a gerstlauer, maybe it's jealous of its new sister getting the limelight?
  17. Ricky replied to JoshC.'s topic in General Discussion
True! At least it doesn't deter from the original theme

Personally, wouldn't want to see it on oblivion, defeats the 'don't look down' bit... Hopefully parks won't go crazy over switching seats around!

Isn't it stange how it was B&M's idea in the first place

I think basically, what is happening is, at the end of the day The Noise plays parkwide, after an hour or so the sound is muted not turned off, and when it unmutes in the morning ( I think it's automated) the noise continues playing parkwide. They probably need to have it recoded so the the the noise stops playing after a certain time and plays normal music. I noticed on my last visit too but after an hour or so it went back to normal.

Maybe they will paint it before allowing people to walk under it

Eurofighters stall all the time, take SAW for example stalls at least twice a year, even it's first ever run vallyed. It's not a disaster story, it's normal for coasters, give them the right conditions and they valley.
  23. Who's says there broken? For all you know someone forgot to turn them on...

The one I saw yesterday said 'Now open, Book now at AltonTowers.com' and even my mum asked me this morning why they are advertising it as open.
  25. To be fair, they are different blocks but the timing between them is so small they may as well be one
