I experience negative G's on the drop of Saw The Ride

We had this debate in the chat room last night, it is not an inverted drop. You drop.... You enter a corkscrew/zero G You take a second drop Inverted drop, your completely inverted when making the drop I.E The SWARM. The Smiler - You drop, make a 180 banked turn into a corkscrew/Zero G roll make about a 300 degree twist before making your next decent. You are not upside when making the second decent on either of the lifts. I have just taking this description about a Dive Drop/Inverted Drop:
  3. I had one for years with 'Looking Sexy, Keeping Dry' on the back of it, it didn't break but my cat pee'd on it otherwise mine would be going strong 10 years down the line!
  4. ^ Your saying nothing of the kind when you say about 'airtime' which is what I quoted. You are saying that somehow the billboard will affect air time. Which, I might add, is in a position where airtime does not play a role and it is positive G's coursing through your body.
  5. Erm, what? The ride isn't changing, a billboard will not affect the physics of the ride.
  6. That wont happen, why on earth would they decide to paint it red!?
  7. It will be the only near miss that actually engulfs you 360 degrees, I'm sure it will be good.
  8. Burger King is remaining at Thorpe Park for 2013 at least.
  9. It took some going, but I got there, eventually.... saved myself!
  10. ^ I think you'll find its far from cost-cutting, The park get a decent deal to sell said product and the company doing the sponsor get cheap advertising for years. Everyone makes a profit.
  11. That's almost as bad as Legoland with discount only being able to be obtained in like 2 F&B units.

    Jobs..

I just applied for BA Cabin Crew, YOLO.
  13. Thanks Sarah, I have no been reminded of that and can't stop laughing.... It's the fact she did it twice once with Marc and once with me. Trying not to laugh whilst repeating the word 'coke' is not funny.
  14. Didn't the original source sponsorship end some 2/3 years before Dr Pepper? implying it was naked between these sponsors?
  15. The more years that pass the further away from that ride should Thorpe go, they are old rides, the whole concept has been around for what two decades now and it's not something that will draw the crowds in. If Thorpe suddenly said 'hey come ride our new top spin' they would get 'been there, done that, bought the t-shirt'.

    X

So X:/ No Way Out? I wonder how they will ruin it this year.
  17. Target market is 16-24 year olds
  18. Lets set something straight it's a 'Merlin Annual Pass Preview Day', therefore the day is exclusive to to MAP holders. It didn't work last time, MAP holders where waiting a very long time to pick up guest tickets and it did add to the final gate figure. If there was 5000 MAP tickets available and everyone brought a friend that's 10,000 guests. 5000 - standard quiet day, everyone has a good time. 10,000 - you piss off all your loyal customers and make them wait excessive amounts of time for rides.
  19. 3rd post.... It's going up so quickly!! The dive loop thing is now up!
  20. ^ Except when they get so tight you can't actually move!
  21. Did you ever ride Corckscrew?

Because nobody calls 'The SWARM', 'Swarm'. Pedantic.
  23. Meanwhile in cat land....

Didnt realise how vague Alton Towers where with their opening times 'opening time - open'... 'closing time - open'. I would rather see check back soon for the opening times we return on this date blah blah.
  25. I will always remember my first ride on Oblivion, those videos do work! I agree with Benin.
