Maybe if you read the job description you wopuld see it comes under Guest Services and Front of House. May be different at that s*** place you work at but its certainly seems different at TP.
Theres hundreds of things I hate about tp, and I dont talk about cwoa, Lego and AT because in my eyes they arnt somewhere I would want to find myself. Chessington is a bore, as is lego, and AT is too far for whats there.
Thorpe are developing a park that is not recommended for children - they are currently aiming for 16-32 (around) age band. I'm sure soon enough we will see something similar to waht Gerstlauer wrote in a report of SAW - The Ride, Anyone under 12 should not visit the park and instead visit CWoA.
When you consider how much downtime it had in recent years, which sometimes felt like it was closed more then it was open its an eyeopener that it had so little downtime. The month down was not the rides fault, but the parks as well as S&S's.
Maybe you need to think that maybe YOU are meant to be the dead girls and these are lets say zombies to say the least which are obstacles in the graveyard you have to get past? Just a thought maybe.... Not everything is plain obvious!
All break runs except the final block before the station run on timers. all are the same but you won't move if theres a train in the next block which alters how long you can wait in each block. Most of the time you run fine, but a slow operator and you could be waiting a while!
It closed Saturday for a few hours after an issue which was resolved as it did reopen, however it must of happened again during testing because it did not open Sunday.
Maybe nobody knows quite what the storyline is behind the terror zone? If they did I'm sure a slightly different approach would be why they chose the themeing that they did.Two girls fell in the lake and died, they go to purgatory and to go to heaven they have to pass through the ride graveyard of Thorpe Park, if they make it they go to Heaven however if they don't they are grounded to earth. Now this storyline only works with old theming and ride parts. Forgive me but I think thats a bloody well thought out storyline! All be it they need to go back to researching what a terror zone is but that really doesnt cut the chase that I had a fair few good times in there!
Generally the position comes under a department, in this case it comes under Guest Services. Which of course we all know are generally where we go for feedback, good or bad.To have someone who works alongside the department managers makes thigns easier then a GS host running around wasting time. The position as I remember being described was mainly for the grouping of feedback and processing the data into which area it is specified such as, Rides & Attractions > Good > Staffing > *complement* or Food & Beverage > Bad > Food > Food being cold when served. It just makes it easier for the park to process it.
Firstly, one of the last times I went too towers I queued 70 minutes for Air on two trains with two stations. Why? it was painful. Secondly, do you know what a product excellence analysist is? Someone who analyses feedback data and passes on it to relevant managers in a bid to attempt to evolve a product or service or generally what they are doing well.
This topic is quite err... interesting! BPPB can search everyone because they dont get as many guests as thorpe, search every guest upon entry to thorpe would mean if your at the back of the queue that could contain over 10 thousand people you wouldnt even get into the park... yeh hmm... random! I do like BP's wristband thing though, would stop anybody breaking into the park!
Then you remember the ride opened over 15 years ago and that would of been classes as modern technology which obviously would now be classed an outcast to the newer modern technology.
