Colossus was undergoing essential maintance this morning, which is why she opened late. The train that was on the lift was 'parked' there.

Yer right out side the station exit, if the wind is right the wave can get you, even better with three boats in operation as the wave will get the boat coming back into the station again.

Quick question why are you slating thorpe for the higher prices for photos and refering to spending this money which does not belong to thorpe. The photo operations at Thorpe Park along with many other merlin attractions is run by Picsolve not the park, Thorpe park out sourced the photo operations a few years ago now.

They could abolish fastrack until the reliability improves..... but that wont happen
  8. Mark9 I think your reffering to the fastrack postions rather than batch the fastracker alternates the queues the batcher allocates and counts people into bays for the ride. The only rides where the batcher does the fastrack duties is stealth, tidal wave, vortex, rush, samurai, I thinks thats all of them.
  9. I've heard ramesses has had some downtime this season all be it one day??
  10. RobF replied to Ash's topic in General Discussion
All the above apart from the shower have worked this season. Although the waterfall has now left the ride.

But it re-opened the only things I would class as unavailable if there closed for the entire day
  12. RobF replied to Artie's topic in The Past
forth time??? ok it opened late, not counting that. Down time for few days couple of weeks ago and now yesterday's shutdown which is still on going.

The only reason rush will ever run a one swing operation is if the other swing has technical problems. The park will always try to have both swings operational. So on quite days means there simply is no queue for rush.
  19. RobF replied to Artie's topic in The Past
A technical problem caused it to cease operation, when the problem has been rectified the ride will re-open simple. No one knows how long it will be before it reopens, if it requires a part it takes time for it to arrive from america then be fitted.
  20. As for the beach it was open yesterday, Wet wet wet was open allot last summer.

Its the same layout as the Flying fish but the interaction with the landscape is much better.

In all fairness saw can get up to near 600 pph atm, please remeber throughput targets are based upon the ride being on maximum staff which is unfair for example the target is the same for detonator on one attendant as it is for two, 450 is unrealistic for one attendant. For detonator to reach 450 the ride neads to be offloaded, loaded and checked in just over 1 minute. Is a design issue with SAW the ride THORPE PARKS fault? simply no, so you cannot blame them for the problems being experienced.
  24. RobF replied to Dan_Rush's topic in General Discussion
Harry did you really need to post that twice?Yes its a yorkie train but why post it twice in the space of 2 posts?
  25. RobF replied to Mark9's topic in General Discussion
But think saw is currently running with a throughput just over 500-550 pph. If they were to sell fastrack imagin how many people from the main queue would get on the ride in a hour! It will add to a even longer queue for the ride. It is one occasion that fastrack simply wouldn't help the park. They are right not to allow fastrack it would only create more complaints.EDIT :TPdan you beat me
