    Rita

I was at Alton Towers today, and apparently Rita's SRQ will remain closed for the rest of the season. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

    Nemesis

As far as Nemesis is concerned, I'm not too botherd about a repaint. Large sections of the track could do with a quick wash, though - that algae is looking vile now.
  3. I'd say so! Usually I have strawberries and blueberries for breakfast, as sweet potato and tuna for lunch, two apples and a banana for a snack, and a huge plate of veg with chicken or fish for dinner. If that doesn't give me my five a day quota, then I don't know
  4. ^ I had a good look at that area from the top of Blivvy, and it's absolutely huge. More than enough space for a eurofighter, and they're usually quite compact to begin with
  5. I guess you could say this was a spur of the moment trip, as I’d decided the day before that I was going. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arrived just after 9.00 and ran down to the Dark Forest for some ERT on Rita. Queues were starting to form by 9.40, so I moved on to X Sector for one or two rides on Oblivion. Forbidden Valley next, which was surprisingly quiet? Did Nemesis four times and Ripsaw once, before queuing for Sub-Terra. Sub-Terra saw a 30 minute wait, but the SRQ was walk on. For some strange reason, Fresh Fish and Chips was closed, so I decided to grab some lunch in the Dark Forest. Had a bite to eat from the baked potato stall, then it was over to Th13teen. The main queue was absolutely horrific, yet the SRQ was walk (as per usual). Didn’t fancy doing Hex this visit, so decided to go back to X Sector and get some rides in on Oblivion and Enterprise. Oblivion’s main queue was almost down to the entrance itself, and the SRQ wasn’t that quiet, either. Sonic Spinball next! I don’t usually bother with Spinball or Air, but seeing as the SRQ wasn’t too bad, I thought I’d get a ride in. It really is a fun little coaster, unfortunately the queues always let the side down. By now the park was heaving, so I thought about doing Nemesis one last time before leaving. Jumped on the Skyride to Forbidden Valley and made my way over to Nemesis. After seeing the SRQ snaking back round the station itself, I decided against a final ride and went on my way. Ride Count: Nemesis X4 Ripsaw X1 Nemesis Sub-Terra X1 Rita X3 Th13teen X1 Oblivion X3 Enterprise X1 Sonic Spinball X1 Merchandise bought: Nemesis Sub-Terra mug (the smaller variety). Oblivion on full mist yesterday

    Rita

I absolutely love Rita, in fact I'd say it was my second favourite coaster at Alton Towers. I've found that if you put your head forward and leave your arms in the air, the rough spots aren't too bad (not that I even notice them TBH). It should be interesting seeing how this compares to Stealth when I go in a few weeks.
  7. Hey guys, I'm James from Staffs. I'm off to Thorpe Park pretty soon (my frist ever trip), so I thought it was about time I logged in here and made myself known. I'm a huge theme park nut and visit parks once a week (usually Drayton Manor or Alton Towers). I regularly post on CF and TST, so I recognise many names here
  8. Whats the best way to get to Alton Towers from London (Waterloo)
  9. Could the B&M wing rider track found at the track plant be for this?http://www.screamscape.com/html/industry_news.htm#BMPictures are there.Seems big though, I've not know a park to advertise that far in advance for a ride, perhaps hotels, but not rides.....
  10. Just out of interest - do you live in London? And if so what did you put don't as your travel option on the application form (car or public transport)
  11. HiI really want to apply to Thorpe Park, and I notice that applications are currently open. I am 15 at the moment although I will be 16 in June. Am I allowed to apply now and then if I get an interview would I be permitted to specify that I'd be able to work part-time during the summer period (I'll be 16 then)?
  12. Just to let you know, the geyser on Inferno was working today!
  13. Where is the lift in Nemesis Inferno?

    Help!

Right, so I spoke to THORPE PARK today and they have said that there are no more Freaky Ultimate Fastrack tickets available, but there may be a few available on the day, but it's on a first come first served basis. Where would I have to go to collect these tickets and would I need to get to the park early to secure the tickets?

    Help!

It's gone again She didn't get time to book

    Help!

OK this is really strange, the online booking system is now saying that Ultimate Freaky Fastrack is available for the 31st :S

    Help!

Hiya,When I purchased the ticket online the only option available was to pick up the fastrack on the day.Do you think they have run out of tickets?

    Help!

Hello,I have purchased Freaky Ultimate Fastrack for the 31st of October 2 days ago, and tonight my friend went to buy her Freaky Ultimate Fastrack and the online booking system says the 31st in unavailable, does this mean she will not be able to buy an Freaky Ultimate Fastrack?Does the online booking system automatically shut down certain days or will she had a hope in getting the FastrackMany Thanks
  20. I went to THORPE PARK for fright nights on Friday 21st and (despite what I've been reading on here) really enjoyed it, one of my best Fright Nights ever I think! First off, the music was really very good in my opinion... It changed for all the rides at 4PM and not once did I go on a ride which had regular music on - Quite impressive!I also found that the volume of the music around the park was really very good as well, great atmosphere from 4PM.The Lights This Year were okay, the majority of areas had the usual green and blue but some are just plain white which kind of ruined it at some points. The lack of fog machines on that Friday was very disappointing, however I didn't feel that it made that much difference, although it would have been nice.I wasn't as disappointed in the theming as I thought I was going to be! The nooses dotted around the park were a nice touch and the barrels were also good to add to the atmosphere after dark. Also I noticed some dead, beheaded bodies dotted around the place as well (on Colossus's nets I first saw them) and that added to it all as well. ... I just wished the park would have cleared out the cigarette butts in them.... The mazes well exceeded my expectations (apart from 7) again this year and what an amazing maze experiment 10 was! A great maze that I urge everyone to try out.The asylum was very good as usual and the changes were well received. I loved it!!The curse was actually pretty scary on that day (well better than last year) and although was not used to its full potential, it had some great moments and the cage we were stuck in at the end was a nice touch! 7....was terrible and lets leave it at that.Saw was the usual but the lack of smoke effects in there was disappointing. Overall we had a great day. The roaming actors were brilliant, the audio was fantastic and the (majority of) mazes were far better than last year!Well done THORPE!! (I'm going back on Thursday! )
  21. Hi,Just a quick plea for some help regarding some of the music used on some of te rides this year!Nemesis Inferno- Area theme.Vortex - ride themeExperiment 10 - area theme. That's all that I heard that I thought were new... Any help will be greatly appreciated!
