My friend threw a USB stick at me last week and it got stuck in my arm momentarily, there is now a scar lol.. it was funny.

Nothing major, the Rush accident last season. Sometimes minor things but nothing major of which can immediately be put down to the parks error.

    Again, not confirmed.

Rule number 1. Never evacuate on a crest

I don't believe what he has to say. Unless it's been announced by the park, I wouldn't bother taking it with a pinch of salt.Edit : Had to laugh at this "We're not even sure who it was ourselves, but we can assure you it's a reliable source"
  6. Not entirely true really, last year Chessington got higher gate figures than Thorpe but still managed to have shorter queues. It can be for a number of reasons• Queues are managed better• Reliability is better• Less fastrack is sold• The park is bigger• The staff work harder on achieving higher hourly throughput's• Rides are run to their full capacityThese are all possibilities
  7. Maybe it's just me, but for some reason the publicity and visitor numbers for people going to Saw seems alot more than it was for Stealth?

It may be noticeable once you know about it, I'm sure the next time I visit I will realize now. I have never noticed it before and I have been on it most likely in excess of 100 times.

You can't look at them both and say "that one swings higher than the other". And also, I should very well hope they weren't making vertical.
  10. NickD replied to Perks's topic in General Discussion
None of them swing lower. Rush was having problems when on both swings however and they struggled to make it past half way towards the full swing height.
  11. You say that, but you then go on to say how the queue times where ridiculously long. The younger staff do not 'rush' they are doing a good job in reducing the queue times to make your life easier. They do check that the restraints are secured and fastened but do it quickly, big difference.

I think it just fell down , that's why the ride shutdown and why the effect is no longer there.
  13. It is good but I would not bother sending it to Thorpe Park, they have paid professionals who produce high quality graphics to use as their posters etc. Also, the logo colour looks a bit silly, make that darker and it will look better.

I find that more understandtable that what Skunky has said though, if I was good mates with a girl and then she said she liked me I would find it difficult to be friends with them after.I agree with Skunky, alot of people from my old workplace used to be the same.
  15. Single express shot tickets are also available for £3 where you can choose one ride to go on!
  16. Dragons Fury : 80 MinutesVampire : 60 MinutesTiny Truckers : 35 MinutesDragons Falls : 20 MinutesRameses Revenge : 10 MinutesTomb Blaster : 20 MinutesRunaway Train 30 MinutesRattlesnake : 30 MinutesSafari Skyway : 20 Minutes--Thats what I would guess at if the weather tomorrow is average. Go to Thorpe Park... don't bother with Chessington they are not WORTH the TIME.
  17. NickD replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
The queueline for Rameses Revenge rarely exceeds 10 minutes at present, but I expect it to maybe reach 30 in the peak of the summer , possibly longer. Rattlesnake can roughly peak at 60 minutes but the whole queue line is capable of holding a lot longer. Vampire is currently running 3 trains and therefore even with a full queueline the longest wait should be around 75 mins, Dragons Fury queue time exceeded an hour today.
  18. Have had 2 near death experiences on the 950, they overfill it far too much, deffinately a severe breach of h+s when so many people are piled in that the doors are forced open whilst on a main road.
  19. Thats always the best way to look at it. The likelyhood is that unfortunately rides will experience technical difficulties during the duration of your busy, but hopefully if there are no rides listed as unavailable on the website, everything should be open from the morning when you enter the park.
  20. NickD replied to Dan_Rush's topic in General Discussion
    Oh dear....
  21. The ride availability widget does work and rides where listed on there at the beginning of the season. The rides will only be listed on that section if they are going to be unavailable from the morning and throughout the day. If a ride experiences technical difficulties during the day it will not be added to the list as rides do frequently shut down and re-open so it would not be possible to keep updating the list. Also, it seems that both the Chessington and Thorpe Park website are down at the moment. (This now seems to have been fixed)
  22. NickD replied to Marc's topic in UK Attractions
It is not the people who actually fix the effects that should head over to Thorpe, the management team at Chessington work very hard with their guests to find out which effects they would like to see and which effects can be restored to their former glory. The management team then push for the engineers to fix these effects, or if necessary purchase new ones.
  23. NickD replied to Marc's topic in UK Attractions
Could people possibly list some effects which used to work at chessington (whole park) and you would like to see brought back to life?
  24. Why advertise old attractions, people already know they are there. Advertising a new attraction makes the public aware that there is something new to go and visit for. It makes perfect sense.
