  1. Rip Ride Rockit is 5 years old so I guess I can't criticise that. Primeval Whirl is 12 years old so I guess I can't criticise that.
  2. Yeah Tommy your meet attendance sucks. This is why you were voted worst mod.
  3. Would you say these things if it was at a different park?
  4. Topspins are around 8 metres tall. It's happening. If Juvelen isn't thrilling then I don't know what to call the 2nd launch and turns after it.
  5. Ryan must really hate you if he made you join
  6. ~I think~ all water rides, Silver Star and Wodan are always closed. Blue Fire is open weather permitting. There's also some snow tubing and an observation wheel.
  7. This topic is going to get people in a mess pretty quickly. I know people who have failed first year due to not bothering but it's their loaned £9000 plus living expenses. I've also seen people crumble under the pressure. No I don't think going to university should be the default. Universities are turning into businesses due to sheer numbers of students and the government reducing funding. I truly hate the bureaucracy surrounding most universities but there we go.
  8. This is not the trip for me. I may be otherwise engaged. I think it will still be busy at that time but I am sure that will not hamper the Creekiness!
  9. Could just be a photo before you go in ala Sealife. It doesn't give anything away.
  10. 3:1 odds it will involve laser blasters. Yep totally agree that every dark ride on the planet isn't thrilling.
  11. Watch the video of the marine passing out or any of the live feeds.
  12. "The park is too busy" and "Annual Passholders shouldn't have to pay" are somewhat contradictory. The mazes have low throughput. Increasing group sizes would probably decrease guest satisfaction. The gap really is a high throughput attraction; a show or scare zone. MBV is in the arena so the show would have to be in Angry Birds. Scare zone, well Merlin's efforts have improved from Dead End but that's not saying much.
  13. that's not what the tweet says
  14. Someone's had a long weekend on the twitter account.
  15. The event is in a weird place. General stuff: Traveler day was fine. They just stand in silly places but apart from that there were no problems. It didn't really feel as if it was a Halloween event. The generators are telling that lighting is where required for safety reasons rather than atmosphere. No music changes on rides was disappointing as well. I feel as if the park is missing a trick not having scare zones based around rides. Put some actors dressed as Smiler staff in X Sector, wraiths in Dark Forest. Duel characters could be all along Haunted Hollow. It's weird actually noticing the marmaliser during Smiler night rides. Mazes/Zones: Having no free maze is weird from a business perspective. Most guests won't be sure what a scare maze is. Having a free maze meant that they could decide whether they wanted to pay for the others. I thought The Sanctuary was better than Terror of the Towers. More variation between scenes and rooms that I thought were kind of a wasted opportunity last year have had their lighting improved. The ending of Terror is really good however. Awkward "Dr. Kelman's on holiday" speech by his replacement. Where has skateboard guy gone. In general it didn't seem as if there were many actors but the room setups meant that a group of 2-4 of them would follow us through multiple rooms. Most people were convinced that there were far more actors. The zones aren't really zones. I feel bad for the actors because all they can really do is walk around a bit and attempt to block people off, especially when it is even vaguely busy. For what there is of it, the Scary Tales themeing is cool but it's short like Zombies and it's a shame it wasn't a proper scare maze.
  16. There's a video of 2 of the people going through the new 'maze' and the guy running it gets annoyed that they can't deal with it. Both participants look close to dying from hypothermia. No thanks.
  17. I really struggle to see this years improvements. Toadies, Falls, Scorpion, Bubbleworks are just depressing to go on. New Market Square looks nice I guess but there's not much to it.
  18. A lot of people have no problem on here having a go at the things the 'GP' (which annual pass holders are a part of) do but then don't understand that the park has a responsibly to look after anyone who walks through the turnstiles.
