My Roleplay B card was very easy but most of them are. Roleplay C had some hard vocab but I worked it out. I managed to say the responses in the wrong order but apparantly that isn't a problem . The presentation was fine but the questions on one of the other topics was probably my worst sections due to losing concentration.

I had my German Oral today. My teacher said I probably have a solid A or above so I can get an A* as the Oral is one of the hardest parts.
  3. In my opinion a lot of the Paris versions of Disney classic rides are alot better such as Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and Rock 'N' Rollercoaster. Random tips off the top of my head are:1. Brace yourself on Space Mountain; while the effects on the ride are amazing, the ride has become very, very rough.2. I haven't been since it opened but Crush's Coaster is supposed to get pretty nasty queues and has no fastpass option due to low throughput (imagine Spinball at a Disney park) so get there at opening.3. Armagedon is a pretty poor attraction due to how long it takes to decide the show's language and it feels pretty underwhelming.4. On quite a few rides with pre-shows and dialogue onride, you can request the English version instead of French and the Cast Member may change it depending on which languages the other guests peak. I know this can be done on The Tower Of Terror.5. The front row of Big Thunder really sucks due the view being obscured by the front of the train. The back row is much, much better.6. From a site I just checked, the ERT is pretty limited: it is only on selected dates and the only rides garanteed to open which pull big lines are Dumbo, Peter Pan and Space Mountain. It does give the impression though that other rides in Discoveryland and Fantasyland open. When ERT does it happen, it is always 8am to 10am and never after park closing due to very low numbers when after closing ERT was run I think.
  4. I have a German Speaking Higher Tier exam this Thursday and the best advice I can give is that people who don't do well are the people who don't stay calm. If you have prepared, you can only do your best.
  5. Need to check with the parents but it should be fine.

I thought the first episode with the single Dalek in Series 1 made a pretty good attempt.
  7. I had to leave early last time and it wasn't a problem.
  8. There was an exibition in a museum in Brighton about its 'ladies of the night' business, enough said.
  9. That's swing B and the ride it gave on Sunday did indeed suck.

I would rather spend my time watching Outnumbered, Ashes to Ashes or Grey's Anatomy

Well they have to be better than Stagecoach, that's for sure.
  12. Indeed. The loading platform was already looking messy after the AP day.
  13. The Drinking age in Germany is 16 as well .
  14. When I went on a German Exchange with school (sadly no theme parks) it was almost annoying how many and how well most Germans could speak English because they wanted to practice their English and we couldn't practice our German . If all else fails then map pointing and sign language should work but maybe keep a pocket dictionary in a bag?
  15. I never find Colossus that bad at all if I brace myself properly against the headrest though it is a nightmare getting into the back rows of the cars. The jolt at the bottom of Saw however and the final inversion were just rediculous for me on the AP day that I didn't bother riding the next time I went.
  16. I personally hope they decide to retheme as the abanoned mill in the original artwork as that looked much more intimidating in my opinion.

    SAW: Alive

If Thorpe really wanted to do this well then they could have made a deal with universal to get some of their stuff from HHN like the animatronics in the needle pit and and furnace.
  18. Stealth and Inferno are walk on and on Inferno you can get rerides without getting off quite often if you head there first at park opening. Also Saw isn't great at opening on time. If you are planning to be at the park for the whole day then head for Inferno and Stealth first and do Saw late afternoon when the queue will have most likely died down.
  19. I sadly cannot have any furry animals because I am allergic to them .
  20. The fast track situation sounds beyond stupid. I hope people complain about the service as it can't be cutting that much in the end. Is the exit of inferno being used as the fast track queue again? Nothing like making people who pay extra queue on a thin ramp on the unthemed side of a volcano.

    SAW: Alive

I think that's the problem really. The concept itself is quite weak. I think Universal made it work because the actors in traps were not trying to directly scare the guests but make them feel that they were in a state of danger. However while guests were watching the victims of the traps, the pig masks crept up on them which worked well. The Saw series doesn't have screamers which begs the question why the maze is full of victims jumping out instead of being more atmospheric. I guess it's just because it's easier.

    SAW: Alive

I agree that this maze needs some major improving but some of the blame has to fall on the press for slating it's apparantly too low age limit. I don't think the asylum had any press like that but because Saw is an 18 movie series some of the reports of it were very damning. I wish I could have somehow experienced the version with the full on actors, electric shocks, etc but from the sounds of things the AP day version I experienced was head and shoulders above what is going on now. It's a shame because with such good theming inside this maze has a lot of potential.
  23. ^Likes the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy I am guessing.
  24. I was replying to Millie's post. I mean if you were a security guard and goth and another girl who was wearing jeans and a plain t-shirt were walking through the gates, who would you think was more likely to be carrying banned items and therefore search you would be more inclined to search? Sterotypes suck but a guard can only judge someone by their looks in a 10 second period of walking through the gates. I have no doubt random searches do take place though.place as well though to
