  1. I did feel as though it was too good to be true at £10. But still, £15 is pretty cheap and in fact the cheapest entry ticket available. (Excluding APs).
  2. Lol. I didn't really mind waiting around with the little ones if they didn't want to go on the rides because they only visit once a year if that. I wanted to make their day good, seeing as I visit more like once a month and will have many more chances to go on all of the rides. But yes, 6 rides is pretty awful.Oh, and I decided today to get a Thorpe Park Annual Pass next time I visit. The bounce-back price has been increased from £10 to £15, so it would be far cheaper to get myself an Annual Pass. Up until now I've just been living on Bounce-back tickets. . Just thought I'd let you know .
  3. Went today, it was good and bad at the same time. The only reason it was bad is because I had to go around with family friends (about 15 of us) which meant that I couldn't really go on much. Thorpe Park itself was fantastic and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. All rides were available today, which I haven't experienced in a long time. When we turned up, the car park was 2 rows away from being full (including the grass overflow) and there were thousands of school kids on trips. From this we expected the queues to be unbearable, but surprisingly we managed to get on some of the big rides with a 30 - 60 minute queue.Below is my shockingly low ride count, along with the time I queued for each ride. Slammer - 10 minutesSamurai - 45 minutesColossus - 35 minutesSAW - First Ride 75 minutes; Second Ride 30 minutesVortex - 15 minutesWe arrived at the park at 11am and left at 6pm. Although it was a shocking day in terms of ride count, I had a good day with the company and will be visiting again in the next week or so with my friends anyway.
  4. No, unfortunately that's just the travel for both.
  5. Yes. I worked out the other day that it would only cost £36 return from my house to Alton Towers (including train and bus) which is pretty good seeing as it costs £24 to get to Thorpe Park.

  7. It's about half an hour to 40 minutes on the bus. Last time I checked it was about £6 one way.
  8. It's only £28 for a return from Kent.

  10. Just to add to that also, the speakers you might have seen in the volcano have the intention for queue line use, not ride use.
  11. It's older than you think, 13 this year.
  12. I don't understand what you are talking about.

    Holidays

We are moving house this summer, so we don't currently have any plans set in stone. However, my parents have booked 2 separate weeks off of work, and I think we might be taking two shorter breaks. One of which I think is going to be Paris, which only means one thing.... DISNEY!Have a good time in Portugal Tim!

    Logger's Leap

Fotowhizz certainly is a fantastic site for Merlin pictures. Every picture is captured in the right light, and Andy really brings out the best in all of the rides and parks.

  16. I have great experience with that happening to me on Stealth.
  17. I wouldn't say that that ride count is shameful. Actually I would say that is pretty good for a summer's day.
  18. I completely agree about the H&S bit!
  19. Yes, it was a phone. I once saw it being used by a ride host who was receiving information from the control cabin and communicating it to the public outside of the entrance when the ride was closed.

    Fastrack

If I remember rightly, when fastrack was first introduced into Thorpe Park it was free and very similar to the "Disney" style. Can someone remind me why that idea was scrapped?
