Yes. I worked out the other day that it would only cost £36 return from my house to Alton Towers (including train and bus) which is pretty good seeing as it costs £24 to get to Thorpe Park.

It's about half an hour to 40 minutes on the bus. Last time I checked it was about £6 one way.

Yes, it was a phone. I once saw it being used by a ride host who was receiving information from the control cabin and communicating it to the public outside of the entrance when the ride was closed.

I have heard that announcement on several other rides before in the past. I think you'll find that this announcement is used as a generic file, hence the reason why "Rumba Rapids" is not mentioned once in the announcement.

I don't if it has been like this for long, but I love the way that it makes so much noise each time the train catches on to the bottom of a lift hill. Only people who have experienced the noise will be fully able to appreciate actually how loud it is!
