Got to experience the "new" land last week - it's alright innit? It works, is my review. 

Stealth has reopened this afternoon, racers.

So the problem wasn't as major as some made out then?
 
Shocked I say. Shocked.

Trouble is, it's basically had 4 and a bit full days of operation with guests prior to today. I do think they overcommitted with that opening date just because it was their birthday... 
 
It ran flawlessly on Wednesday, it's so bizarre.
 
Here's some unparalleled levels of joy prior to riding for the first time with my M8:

Rode yesterday 3 times - rows 4, 6 and 7.
 
Have to say - the operations were impeccable, both loading and getting the trains out, and the queueing system which worked faultlessly. Credit where credit is due there, brilliant stuff.
 
Managed to get on when the queue hit it's lowest point of 60 minutes for our second ride as we just came off the - ever failing it seems - Colossus.
 
FYI, we got to the park at 9am, got into the queue for Hyperia before the SAW photo area and we ended up riding at 10.30 so cannot complain one bit to be honest.
 
First ride itself was pure euphoria, absolutely incredible. That hill just keeps going and going - especially when not at the front! Drop was great and punchy - loved the outer bank towards the motorway but the hangtime stall element is just bonkers. Loved it.
 
2nd ride of the day definitely seemed faster/more intense, as did the 3rd later on in the day. Such an awesome atmosphere in the area, everyone excited, whooping and clapping on the trains. The Hyperia shows were a nice touch too.
 
Well done all round - I will say they might need to replace some of the plants though as they tend to need water, and some are very brown 😄 Mad that this ride is in the UK to be honest!

Finally, after thousands of launches over several years, the one thing I never wanted, I had a rollback today. Within a couple of hours of telling several people that I never wanted one, it happened. The power of the launch failed about half way down the run and we barely rose three quarters up the vertical. 
 
Still they could not get me a cuppa..........and after rolling us back to the platform, we were off within fifteen minutes.

Yeah that looked a close one.... possibly looks worse than it is because of the angle though, but even so!
 
I've changed my booking to Wednesday 12th now. Can't do 13th/14th for work commitments so I figure best to go on Wednesday and allow another day of testing and prep than go tomorrow and then be annoyed if I miss it by a day.
 
If no Hyperbae on Wednesday, then I'll see her in September once the schools are back.

Staff are riding it. Entitled enthusiasts are upset.

Train with dummies is now in the station, with staff checking restraints etc... looks like test runs are imminent. Two staff members just headed up the lift hill with some grease/lubricant or similar.

Yes! Two test runs already completed!

Fingers crossed for you! Monday isn't impossible provided we see a train up that lift hill soon.
All this said, Tuesday is just speculation, albeit with some evidence. Monday soft unplanned re-opening, Tuesday proper re-opening?

I honestly think what's gonna happen now is, without fanfare, the night before it's due to open, Thorpe will say "It's opening tomorrow guyz" and that way no one can really moan. Ish.

True, but announcing it's opening the night before it's due to reopen is still an announcement, right? 😃

It's gonna be the 11th innit. At least I'll get to experience opening day v2.0 haha.
 
I guess that notice would imply that they need to get X amount of testing done and that won't be possible in less than 2 days...

Saw being added to the unavailable list for tomorrow soon I would imagine, unless it's quicker to get the parts in than it is get them out!
 
EDIT: I might have spoken too soon - both the lifting clamps/struts have now come back down from the lift hill so maybe we are in luck.... fingers & wings crossed.

One would imagine that if Hyperia is not planned to open on Thursday, they'd be announcing that by park close today?

Those chancing it for Saturday will be getting nervy...
