  1. There have been a few people that didn't like the decision ;-p
  2. In my opinion it sounds like an air raid siren, I am sure it would confuse everyone! Surely you should have some fast paced music to get everyone to leave but not air raid sirens *jumps under table*, It could even reduce some people to tears/hyperventilation!
  3. I can see why they did it, it probably cost more to keep the older ride running due to maintance costs etc. Whats replacing it isn't the best roller caoster every but will add another new ride to the park which is what they need to get the GP in!
  4. Here is a quick update from Flamingo Land regarding their 2013 construction! The rest of the images are on Facebook
  5. I have recently visited the BPB and I have to say that is one of the best days out I have ever had! The park was very quiet but it was a beautiful day. I fell in love with wooden roller coasters when I was at BPB as all of the other ones I have ever ridden really hurt! These ones were like riding around on your grans arm chair! So comfy I may have fallen asleep on the Big Dipper :-p The thing that stuck out in my mind the most was the fact they opened The Big One for the remaining 30 minutes of the park being open... that's right 30 minutes. It was dead quiet as well so I was astounded to see it roaring around the track. Because of high winds it was shut for most of the day but I was really impressed! Here are a few photos! The rest can be found on my Flickr I love this place and would most definitely go back!
  6. Hello! I have a update on the new attractions coming to Lightwater Valley this year! Check out the rest on Facebook!
  7. I did think that! Obviously it is offensive!
  8. Having recently visited Lightwater Valley for the first time I thought I would share some photos with people! I have to say that Raptor ATTACK and Whirlwind are fantastic rides! for the other 78 photos click HERE for Flickr
  9. Went to Flamingo land the other day for the first time. After hearing many things about the park I was a bit dubious but I thought I should try it out. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Mumbo Jumbo & Kumali are great rides which suit the park wonderfully, they have loads of development going on and the park has a really fantastic zoo! I also loved Velocity, a great ride that is highly under estimated. All in all the park is pretty well kept except the seaside area which needs a revamp, Although the drop tower (Cliff Hanger) was by far the best launched tower I have ever been on! Some photos are available on Flickr I personally think that the park is highly underated and want to give it a big thumbs up! Only qualm I have is a massive lack of toilets!
  10. Morning all, Was at Alton Towers yesterday and its the first time I have seen The Smiler up close, it is HUGE! Cannot wait for this to be opened! Here are some pictures from yesterday. Whilst eating lunch in Fried Chicken Company (which we also won for free due to the red button challange!) we saw Barney from Blue Peter who was on site! The rest of the photos are on my Facebook
  11. I think there is a much needed clarification on this deal!
  12. Chessington are trialing a new meal deal. 13. ALL HOPE MAY NOT BE LOST FOR DRAGON FALLS!!!!! Chessington have revealed this on thier updates page... "Dragon Falls is being re-themed and we would like your help. Sketch your vision of what Dragon Falls should look like and you could see your design come to life and win a family Chessington Annual Pass. If you want to help send your drawings in an email to: adventure@chessington.co.uk Don’t forget that Dragon Falls is located in Mystic East so will need to fit into an oriental theme" Although the ride opens in less than a week after its rehab we could see it as something to happen between the closed season of 2013 & 2014!
  14. Brill thanks for all your advice guys! I will try out the Woodies, will take out some holiday insurance just incase :-p Everyone has mixed opinions on Valhalla but I will try it out with a few bin bags tied around me! thanks again!
  15. I am off to Blackpool in a few weeks for the first time, is there anything that I HAVE TO ride and things I should avoid. I don't particularly like wooden roller coasters as I got whiplash on Stampedia in Porteventura and they have put me off :-p
  16. I agree, the marketing has again hyped it up to be this ultimate safari, but in reality its 5 minutes long and the animals are all scared! The cave really disappointed me the most! Here are some pictures I uploaded to my Flickr The rest are on Flickr here
  17. Went to the park yesterday, I have always been a fan but I am going to give my honest opinion now... What an absolute SHAMBLES. Updated the website on yesterday morning and it said nothing was closed due to the weather! Great we thought so we headed up only to find Vampire, Dragons Fury, Rattlesnake and RMT & Dragon Falls all out of action! We headed to Zufari and had to wait 30 minutes before they started running the ride. Zufari I thought that the ride was very well thought out, needs time to settle in and grow. The preshow was funny and I like the idea behind that and the talking lemur. The animals were all hiding because it was to cold but the expeirience was pretty good. I thought the cave finale was pretty poor though, there was no effort made in the slightest. even if it had some tiki masks or something it could make an improvement. All in all a good ride but not great. I would give it 6/10 but don't queue more than 45 minuites - 1 hour for it! Here is my video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2hsUXBrRRg Later on in the day things started to open as it warmed up but Vampire was on 1 train... with a 60 minuite queue (FML) so all in all a pretty rubbish day, if I had paid I would have been seriously miffed but as it was on the Annual Pass I couldn't complain to much. Dragon falls looks ghastly and RMT seems to have had nothing done to it either! Thanks for listening to my rant/review ;D
  18. I think that main issue that people will have to contend with is obviously space. You will need to know the 3 people you are sharing with very well!
  19. I can assure you I took it yesterday, its just very water logged!
  20. I can sort of understand with a water attraction like Duplo Valley... I personally want to run around in the water in the current weather! But all the other attractions and especially chessington closing 4 rides to upgrade them over easter is just absurd! At least they haven't shut the entire land at Legoland!
  21. I agree, it was only yesterday and considering may is only just over a month away they need to get a groove on!
  22. I have a couple of picture of the Crash Pad, is it actually open yet? The entrance was all cordoned off... Anyway here are some photos http://www.facebook.com/ThemeParkMedia

    Slammer

I rode it yesterday, it took aggeeesss to get enough people to get it going though, think it was a minimum of 20! Sometimes its bad when the park is that dead!
  24. An update from Legoland Windsors new 2013 attraction Duplo Valley opening in May. The whole update is on Facebook
  25. We did mention the need for an actual experience rather than just a quick fast food get up and go experience. Something that you wouldnt mind spending a bit more money on... but would it work at THORPE PARK though?
