  1. Agreed. If they didn't want it to be opened by the end of the season then they would just wait untill the closed season to repair slammer. So that sounds good for it opening at somepoint during Fright Nights.
  2. Nemesis inferno also down. get well soon slammer!
  3. why I said "this is never going to happen". Its just the ride would suit the SAW branding.
  4. I know this isn't going to ever happen, but wouldn't it be great if this moved to Thorpe Park. I thing that the themeing could tie in nicely with the SAW. However one of the best things about the ride is the location in "the pit" so if it did move, I'm not sure a similar location exists.
  5. From Chessington Facebook page: The Bird Poo Challenge. For many it means good luck but for guests at Chessington bright yellow bird poo has left them feeling not so lucky! Spotting the problem, Zoo Keepers are introducing complimentary umbrella hats for visitors to the walkthrough aviary. Charlie Compton, Head of Birds at Chessington commented; “The 65 brightly plumed parrots in our Lorikeet Lagoon are popular with visitors who can feed the birds from small pots of nectar. Feeding the birds inevitably means there will be bird poo and the number of ‘lucky’ people with lorikeet poo on their heads meant we had to take action. The umbrella hats are the perfect solution and guests are free to borrow them when walking through the aviary.”
  6. How are you meant to know what rides are unavailable (Except asking on here ) seen as the box has gone? has it been relocated?
  7. back onto topic, this is my favourite ride due to the memory's it holds. I was petrified on my first go, but then absolutely loved it. It was my first major rollercoaster!
  8. are you guys who still go to school off on the 22nd?
  9. general discussion topic in thorpe area would be helpfull
  10. I remeber when I used to get the excited feeling listening to the "twinkly" music as I crossed over the bridge. Just don't get that feeling since I visit regularly. I can't really describe the feeling, but I'm sure most of you have experienced this.
  11. Sorry, had no idea where to put this, but its a suggestion! So unless my eyes have missed it:Is there a general discussion in the thorpe section of the website? If not, I think that would be a good idea
  12. but you have been a member for 4 days and made more posts than I have since december!
  13. not really a tradition , but once I tried to go around the park alphabetically for a laugh, didn't manage everything though. Most of the good rides begin with letter "r" downwards
  14. One other thing is that walking around from the rameses/tomb blaster area is quite a long way around, I know it wouldn't be possible to re route the paths and the bushes are quite nice around there. Just a minor knitpick.
  15. what about Colossus? or samurai?if they have any.Or even suggest what you think the stories could be.
  16. Maybee a queue time board around canada creek for the visitors
  17. After recently seeing the backstory for the new "storm surge" I have become interested in some of the backstories of the other rides and so would ask anyone to post the backstories of some of the rides.Thank you in advance.Maybee even put what you would like/could imagine the backstories to beP.S Didn't quite know where to put this
  18. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/fun/competitions/promotions/article173863.eceFound this on facebook, looks like a good offer to me and seemingly includes fright nights.Edit: After reading the T&C's, the Sun send you one specific date you can visit which , is not practical to many
  19. With the new continenetal theme, what will land of the dragons be?Any Ideas?
  20. I dont think this was the case on my visit day due to a very bored looking man sitting in the control unit with nobody on the ride!
  21. last week I saw no body riding griffins galleon all day! I must say it is not too well signposted and in my opinionis not that bad of a ride. However on this day, the 2nd highest ride queue was for Toady's cars.
  22. Thought I would do a report of my great trip yesterday.Got there for 9.30 and looked at the animals for half an hour.Straight to vampire first to get on 3rd train of the day. Then to fury with my longest queue of the day waiting 20minutes. After expecting a bustling day, the maximum queue for vampire was 20mins as was fury with kobra reaching 30 only due to the slow loading on time. Rattle snake, tomb blaster peaked at 5minutes! I expected it to be far busier especially a school holiday and the staff were very helpfull, especially on vampire and rameses revenge. I think rameses on the spin cycle spun 5 times in a row! and I got 21000 on tomb blaster. Ride count: Vampire: 2Dragons Fury:3Kobra:2Monkey Swinger:2 (got soaked, twice in a row, on outside)Tuk Tuk:2Tomb Blaster:2Dragon Falls:2Rameses Revenge:3Rattlesnake:3Runaway Train:1Skyway:1Black Bucaneer:1Bubbleworks:1SealifeLorikeet LagoonChessington is now my favourite park!
