Blackpool Pleasure Beach
So, Big Dipper 'derailed' yesterday...Image taken from Coasterforce (who were actually by Steeplechase when it occurred)...Thoughts?

Doctor Who
I'd always hoped for Bill Nighy to be in an episode, but wanted him as a mjaor character...Dissappointment ;)Actual episode... Was ok... Nothing particularly special but Van Gogh was done by a good actor and shows what a decent script can do, hell you felt for him in one episode than you did Rory

Chessington General Discussion
<3Who types Chessington anyways? It's all about the 'Chessie'...As for it being a resort... Please no... That's so bland compared to the current name... Which although a mouthful, conjures up a lot more to the mind...

Vampire
Then it wasn't a 130 minute queue...Simple as... The operator evidently employed the old "make the queue-time longer than it actually is technique"...

'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter'
It is certainly though NOT a coaster... Basically the nearest (though not exactly close) comparison is Spiderman, the ride vehicle follows a track on the floor and does motions based on which section of the ride it's at... Just this one does a lot, lot more than Spidey does...

You mean Half Term was BUSY? ;)Either there were some poor platformers there, or just there was a need for the 3rd train... Although was the queue REALLY going up towards Bubbles? A full queue is 70-90 minutes depending on the number of trains, so 130 minutes would mean it going all the way up the hill and through the arch...

Tomb Blaster
The snake is still iffy... It doesn't need a lot of work done to it but it does need some, like all Chessie's stuff really...It's a great ride though, I much prefer that the targets are actually ON stuff rather than Duel's "let's-stick-them-up-anywhere" approach...

Europa Park 18/05/10 - 21/05/10
ANYONE who prefers Flamingoland to ANYWHERE deserves a slap...

Europa Park 18/05/10 - 21/05/10
I'm sorry what?It must be the fact we over here are too used to our parks and you're used to your parks... But, the German parks are superior in the more important things, ride running and park presentations...You could have the best rides in the world but if you can't run them well or provide a good environment, then your park is no good in my eyes...Plus the fact they dispatch rides with opened bars <3

Clearing the queue-line was not the best idea for the staff to do, usually the queue remains open but a staff member would be chucked on front gate to inform guests entering... So unless Chessie have changed it then that operator/platformer was doing the wrong thing...It seems as well that they didn't have a cleaning kit in the control box... Meaning people got sent off to grab the gear...Then the powder (NOT salt), was sprinkled and left to dry for 5/10 minutes... It is harmful to a degree but there was no need for them to evacuate the entire queue, having cleaned Vampire seats in the station before which is much more dangerous due to the enclosed nature, hell I've had to ride Bubbleworks once to clean up some in the boat... ;)Then would've been washed away... Testing would be to maybe just get rid of excess crap...Without seeing how much sick there was and more importantly WHERE it was on the ride it's hard to say if 25 minutes is too long or not... I've had Buccaneer closed for a similar length of time because of epic vomit over the seats, floor AND platform... So if there was sick on the seats that would've been made completely clean... Platform not as much but still needed to be cleaned...

Th13teen
*facepalm*Maybe, just maybe... Something occurred on the ride causing an error of some form on Monday, FORCING Towers to call in the techs...Just a hunch though...

Th13teen
Removing the magnetic ones wouldn't be that difficult, installing the new mechanical ones would be though maybe...That's if that's the reason why... It may just be having a strop... It IS half term after all... I wouldn't blame the ride for not wanting to be abused by a load of school kids

'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter'
Station for the Forbidden Journey ride...Looks so epic...

Thorpe Park Meetup - Sunday 30th May 2010
Serious?I've been to meets where the group goes to a ride and basically if you don't wanna go on, you sit out with whoever else doesn't wanna ride and wait for the group...Meets SHOULD be about meeting new people with similar interests, and going around as a big group all day does help people talk to each other... Just some need the extra step of being spoken to first which should be the role taken by the admin lot...

Thorpe Park Meetup - Sunday 30th May 2010
With a person in charge you can still have fun, but a meet-up is much more better overall if there's some organisation going with it...

Thorpe Park Meetup - Sunday 30th May 2010
You cannot prevent people staying in their preferred groups, that's generally impossible to do in 'big' meets...However, the leader should go around to each and every person and either introduce themself to newbies or say hello to people who have been met before...Meets are that hard to organise really... Set a time-frame to meet up of 30 minutes at a certain point, if people cannot make that time they can sort out something quickly after depending on their arrival... One of the team is determined as the group leader which could be different each trip and they're in charge of everyone... Go around together in the morning, call lunch at a certain time for an hour or so, meet at another specific point and then go around together for the rest of the day...Simples...

Cariba Creek
Thorpe on the brain some people... Cariba Creek though just doesn't have enough to do in the normal British weather... If it's cold everyone's inside making Master Blaster have a silly queue, not helped by a poor system of collecting the boats for it...I like it... But it needs more...

Thorpe Park Meetup - Sunday 30th May 2010
And there's way too many of them cracks going around atm...

Granted, not the best image I could've gotten of the organist... But kinda shows the colour scheme...

Chessington General Discussion
There is room... But I highly doubt any rides will be put into that area...Unless they have a Rhino Rally-esque ride planned...

Adventure Island - Southend
Well yeah, British seaside resort related things are tacky... Ever been to Blackpool? Tack central...AI is a fine enough place though... It has a decent enough atmosphere...

'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter'
Darkness in a DARK ride? How dare they?Onto the actual ride POV... Wow... Has anyone watched the Ollivander's video as well? There are gonna be some really happy kids at the end of their trip if they get chosen on it...

Vampire
Peter, red is by FAR the most awesome colour I've seen in there... Green can go away...

Thorpe Park Meetup - Sunday 30th May 2010
I left the park early due to the epic busyness of it... But having been at meet-ups of groups of 50+ people going around together all day only splitting up for lunch, it's not impossible to have such a day out where you pick and choose rides based on the majority decision and if people don't wanna go on they wait near the ride...Instead of meeting at 1:00, why not meet up 30 minutes after park opening? So everyone gets to spend the day together?Simple...

'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter'
YES!This is theming ladies and gentlemen... Absolute class theming from top to bottom... I can't wait to see the ride now... That queue is just so epic, with it seeming to have several different coversations for the characters you see... PLUS Sorting Hat giving out safety spiel in rhyme <3
