I feel Kobra offers a great riding experience for the family area and still is a great supporting ride for thrill rides!
  2. Only chessington ever showed anything and that was cartoon network programmes 2 or 3 years ago now!Thorpe parks queue's on thursday were everything up near tidal wave was 30 minutes and under. Plus Colossus and saw were both at 90 minutes and the rest in that section were about 45minutes except saw alive which was less than 10minutes all day! Wont get that at halloween!

no I know I see many staff working hard but I do see more men slack off than women causing queues for the past few visits
  4. Not at Thorpe park but at Alton towers I managed to slip between the station and the car on corkscrew and few more feet and I doubt I would have been able to get my foot out although my man pride was sqaushed a bit!

did I say they DO? no I said usually, from what I have noticed usually when they have both it seems to run smoothly not all e.g male or all female!

Yesterday was a disgrace for Rush, the staff were talking to each other at the ride console for a good 2minutes everytime, I have no problem with them chating but when they are physicaly holding the ride up its really not on or in any books fair ! I have noticed they let a good half the ride full of fastrack on some occasions which is not on at all, this seems incerdibley unfair and unjustified.I dont want to moan but when you have staff not doing there Job e.g not locking restraints, chatting up the girl on the console and working at the slow speed at peak time yeah they need to get there act together I dont know weather it is my family but we all noticeBy order of some I have taken this last comment off even though I think I am just speking what I see!

yeah but alton can get away with that and excpect they will keep the ultimate coaster for many years to come!
  8. From what I was told by the Alton towers DVD staff yesterday they are apparently not allowed to advertise it as much a your day were allowed for some strange reason does anyone know why?How the hell do we get rid of the wasps at Alton? I had a wasp with the whole way round the runaway mine train

I thought about this and the advertising is not far off 'the ulitimate rollercoaster, all elements you could dream of in one' If you think about it the target audience is children that can only go on 1.2 meter ride. so for people that big they have never been on anything like it before and for a child of that height it is the ultimate rollercoaster!I just came back from Alton towers and have noticed a huge difference in the reactions of the ride to when it opened in a much more posotive light but th13teen is still suffering down time like the plague (same with rita)

There is a certain sort of person who intentionally goes to an attraction to get SCARED because most people or not as many dont enjoy that sort of thrill and would rather stick to ride but at halloween the whole idea of it is to be scared and those certain people will come from all around because its only there for a few weeks making them a lot more popular at the time of year when getting scared is the whole Idea thats all!

Horror maze and Thrill ride is completely different!Mikey T would agree I think! Having worker in the horror mazes
  12. Talk about queue I wonder how long it will take to get out of the car park at fright nights because of the new charging making everything slower?Queues you know when they are bad when you see 99mins put on them!I have learnt at thorpe park 2 hours is not that bad anymore it would be half that time if they did not have half the guests in the park with fastrack!
  13. couldent have put it in better words!
  14. I cant believe how rough such a small ride can be! But still gives you a small stomach churn so its always good!
  15. I think if there is any ride to have dressed up staff its this one because thorpe park have got so much detail put into the ride that when you see the blue top staff member put you into a loading bay it slightly ruins it for me or at least all staff dress up on fright nights for this ride as well as saw alive!
  16. I likes the quote made by the alton runaway mine train staff member he said to our train would you like to go again so eveyone on the train goes yeah...... then he says queue lines over there. that was rather good and the same with the chessington I feel it makes your day when you get staff and guest communication.
  17. As long as they as you said not smoking in queue lines or near food I couldent care less!
  18. Well yeah that would always be hard but At alton I saw staff following guidlines to make sure smokers smoked in the designated smoking areas!

Yeah I heard that they were thinking about charging but currently disney have the only free fastrack system in the world I just wish merlin could have one ride which was free so disney couldent say that!
  20. I dont think thorpe will ever do that simply because they are trying to stop smokers as much as possible now! Which I can understand but if they had designated smoking areas all round the park then fair enough!
  21. I just loved going up the spiral lift hill then that awsome sudden drop got my stomach every time simply because you didnt quite know when it was coming unlike oblivion!
  22. th13teen replied to th13teen's topic in UK Attractions
Well yes that would be excellent anything not seen in the UK before is always a winner with the gerneral public!
  23. that was one of the previous posts to prove I'm not the only one apparently giving out stupid posts that was from dan air
  24. th13teen replied to Jake C's topic in UK Attractions
I just wish it could go back to how it used to be free!
