  1. How do you know this? It doesn't say anywhere on the website.
  2. Coaster replied to Sidders's topic in Nonsense
Ok thanks That's quite a good score I think!

I'm not in the results! What is this tomfoolery?

Given the reports of the roughness in row 4, I would hate to see it if there was a row 5!

I have now sent my answers (via PM), thank you for the quiz! Next week I will most likely be here for the quiz but I am holiday for two weeks after that, so could I please have the questions sent to me via a PM? (I will have to complete the quiz when I get back from the holiday as I do not think I will have a wifi connection there, so I will be a latecomer!)

Do you have a rough idea of how long the quiz will take? (As in today, not in total)

^ I did notice actually when I was there in April that we were sitting on the brake run for a very long time (no break down). Hopefully it will have improved by Scarefest, poor ride operations and me don't go!
  8. Of course they won't. What do you take their marketing for, truthful? Bear in mind they said "Picture this…the gates close for the day, but we’re not done yet! If THORPE PARK reopened exclusively for late night summer riding on our top six coasters for a strictly limited number of guests at a bargain price…would you come?" £16 AP and £18/£20 for anyone else is hardly "a bargain price!"

What has changed about Oblivion's operating procedure? This is very poor if it is true, as the throughput for Oblivion has always been quite high.
  10. ^ They advertised "no queues" on 2011 annual pass day - it was the busiest day of the year!

Part of the idea of having loud music is that it can be heard outside the building Joking aside, this could be the reason although I doubt it because they don't seem to hesitate in killing the theme park atmosphere in other areas of the park by booming out chart music/the noise.
  12. I've never noticed this topic before, but I play the Trombone. I was recently part of the band for my school production of Chicago (which was very good and professional!)
  13. Looks quite good but I won't be able to make those dates. Although on the other hand, some parks (such as Oakwood) keep their rides open until 10pm in the summer for no extra charge! If what they are saying on the booking page is true though then it would be very good! (Says that there will be no queues - hence that they are not selling many tickets, but do we believe them? ). It is quite expensive though, especially for MAP/Annual pass holders (which I am one of). If it could be guaranteed that they would only let in a tiny amount of people then I would think that £16 was acceptable, but after the 2011 annual pass day and how much they oversell Fastrack this is very unlikely!

Think I'm going to play along as well.

I was just posting it as news, not suggesting anything else.

According to Theme Park Logic Slammer has conked out again... QUOTE: Theme Park Logic NEWS: Thorpe Park Flat Ride Slammer closed again! Slammer at Thorpe park is closed again following a repeat issue that cost the ride most of the 2012 season A compressed air generator is outside the ride which we believe was used to bring the ride to the ground this morning due to the issue.. So do you think Slammer's time is finally up? Picture below confirms Slammer is out of order
  17. If they do have a new maze this year, I would like to see it have a long, atmospheric build up with a really, really strong story-line followed by an explosive final. Whilst quite common, a ghost haunting theme could work brilliantly! They could have sensors on objects in a room to move as you walk past, a few actors here and there but mainly relying on other effects and props. The final could have an actor (or several) who have been "possessed" by the spirit. If just having one possessed person, they could be sleeping in the corner of the room, then as you walk past they could suddenly start running at you shrieking - causing people to run out of the exit.

Just a quick question, did they ever play the Nemesis Story in the queueline? (This one)
  19. Sounds great, but I would hate to see the Asylum rethemed personally. Improved definitely!
  20. Well the website confirms it. RMT won't be opening until 2014. Gives them the time to do a proper job I guess. http://www.chessington.com/plan-your-trip/ride-status.aspx

I agree with this, it's awful with the shutter open!

    This is getting ridiculous now!
  23. I know it would never happen, but a speedboat ride making use of the Saw Alive queueline (obviously rethemed) would be fantastic! Once again, I know it won't happen so don't start having a go.
  24. I agree with your point, it's stupid. I still walk round the shop anyways. It's also very, very tacky.
  25. ^ £10 is quite a lot of money to be fair.
