I agree with what is being said here, the cave final looks like a dissapointment and the whole area it goes round looks horrendous!
-
Very impressed with The Swarm and it's ride team today, we really enjoyed the backwards seats and new near miss(es) and they kept it on two trains for the whole day even though it was near enough to walk on for most of the day, and we stayed on multiple times towards the end of the day. Managed 16 rides in total today, we didn't even have to queue extra to "brave it backwards!" (Apart from before lunch)
-
I saw the front of a refurbished X train today from the Colossus brake run - it was painted completley black with just "THORPE PARK" written on the front in capital letters. From what I could see it had individual lap bars but no seat divider - although I obviously only got a quick look.

Went to the park today, it was raining most of the day but we still had a great time! Park was practically dead by late afternoon, with the exception of Stealth (which opened late today) and Colossus (on a one train service.) We really enjoyed everything, a shame that X wasn't ready but we will be back soon (Merlin pass holders) so it didn't really matter to us. I thought that the changes on both The Swarm and Nemesis were worthwhile and really good, especially the inferno tunnel. The water effects on The Swarm were not working properly, but I will let them off because the fire went on almost every train - and it was raining!! I thought that the billboard near miss on The Swarm was very effective. Anyway, onto the RIDECOUNT: The Swarm x16 (Was completley walk on most of the day and they let us stay in the station and swap rows as we pleased for most of it or just go back behind the gate and wait if there were people there, which was very nice.) I think we rode it about 7 time backwards and the rest forwards. Nemesis Inferno x3 (Also walk on for most of the day) Saw: The Ride x2 Tidal Wave x2 (Yes, we are mad! ) Detonator x2 Colossus x1 Stealth x1 Slammer x1 Rush x1 Rumba Rapidsx1 (Looking very run down atm, could do with an extensive refurbishment) Depth Charge x1 (New boats were very fast, there was airtime!!) Zodiac x1 (New stickers on the pods which don't say Tussauds!) Other notes from the day: From the Colossus brake run we saw the front of a refurbished X train (which was left outside). It was painted completley black, and the old thorpe park logo was gone, with it instead just saying "THORPE PARK" in capitals. From what I could see it was individual lap bars but no seat divider, although I didn't really get a long look at it.) - Saw Alive looked like it had sunk slightly on one side, it was definatley tilted! - New Thorpe park radio station playing at the entrance/beach area and randomly interrupting the Colossus theme music at one point. Overall we had a great day, it was great to be back on park after over four months of it being closed and we will definatley be visiting again soon! TOTAL RIDES ON THE SWARM: 87! Thank you for reading

I'm braving the weather and going today so expect a trip report later. (No photos, sorry!)
-
They are probably scratched because they have been left in a car park for months! I thought from day one that it was a strange decision to leave multi million coaster track outside where anyone could touch it etc.
-
A POV of Zufari has been released! (Not finished) http://youtu.be/a0yvHJCp8po
-
I think it's very poor how it's just left there - they could at least install a fence going round it with black sheets over it or something.
-
No, I'm sure that booking the tickets was just for Annual pass day.
-
I really don't get how they can get away with marketing Saw as the world's most terrifying rollercoaster. Unless you hate coasters, there is nothing scary about it! Especially not with Stealth and Swarm there which I would rate to be much scarier than Saw (even though neither of them scare me, but then again no rides scare me )
-
I like the new design, but I do not like the fact that they only show five rides when you hover over that section. Also none of those rides are World class, well maybe The Swarm at a push.
-
Love the sound of the Vampire lift hill but you can't beat the sound of the Big One lifthill at Pleasure Beach.
-
The only rides that make me feel sick are KMG afterburners for some reason - I really don't know as I have a strong stomach for everything else. X:/ No Way Out definatley had no bad effect on me whatsoever, but I can understand why it might make some people feel sick. I hope they have kept the original Thorpe park logo on the trains!
-
It's a submarine I think.
-
I liked the ride going backwards, although I agree that it definatley needed to be refurbished. As long as this is done properly it should be good, but let's hope it's not a half hearted job like we have seen in previous years. They have (partly) updated the ride page. http://www.thorpepark.com/rides/x.aspx

The Sanctuary is officially confirmed to be returning in 2013. (I know it was a while ago, but it all went quiet about it since then so it's good to see that they have put it on the website. I believe that it will close when The Smiler opens.) http://www.altontowers.com/rides-and-attractions/thrill-rides/the-sanctuary/

How does this work?
-
No I know there wasn't one, I visit Thorpe park loads, it's just that it was posted in the trip reports section that there is one now.
-
How does the new front row queue on Saw work? (I saw about this in the trip reports section from Friends and Family day 2013)
-
Why on Earth are they playing that around Inferno? It's awful.
-
That's ridiculous, it would be horrendous having to book a backwards seat every time you wanted to go backwards. Very poor in my opinion
-
What about Valhalla at Blackpool then? That has very steep drops in the pitch black and a backwards drop yet has no restraints. In my opinion they could have replaced that section of tunnel on the cheap and nobody would have known, yet the way they have just left it is appauling - especially as they haven't even removed all of the walls etc...
-
What are they playing at the park entrance now?
-
How stupid, surely they could have just put in a small warehouse building, themed the side of it that faces the queueline etc and nobody would have even known it was a warehouse! Really bad descision to leave it like that, they haven't even bothered to remove some of the walls!
-
Ah I see, still not good though to be honest that the capacity of the main queue has been reduced - even though it won't be as long. How many trains is it running today?
