  6. Thanks everyone for my awards, they were a complete surprise but definitely very appreciated!
  7. So now we are getting closer to this meet will there be anyone else not skating?
  8. Benin I will be getting in touch with you in regards to a couple of the items you have listed, I wonder if you can guess which ones... And Merch collection wise. I will have to update by lists again soon and upload here. May take me some time though.
  9. Album of the year Bastille - Bad Blood. I have been a fan of Bastille for a number of years now ever since I first heard their song Flaws on a Youtube video which I believe was posted before they were even signed to a record label. It has been great but slightly strange seeing them receive the amount of success they have had so far as a lot of my favourite singers/bands normally stay relatively unknown. Song of the year Daft Punk - Get Lucky. Perhaps an obvious or cliché choice but I really do think this was a perfect summer pop song. Music Video of the year Arcade Fire – Reflektor. I have chosen this video for its high tech interactive creativeness. If you have not seen this video before but have some spare time, the Google Chrome browser, a computer with a webcam and a smartphone/tablet I definitely recommend having a play around with it. Film of the year The Worlds End, although Shaun of the Dead is still the best and probably my favourite of the Cornetto Trilogy films The World’s End was definitely my favourite new film in the cinema this year! TV Show of the year The Walking Dead – There are so many amazing shows on TV at present, but for its consistent high quality in storytelling, character development and production quality I think The Walking Dead is probably the best I have been watching this year. Sporting Moment of the year As I do not watch sports this is a difficult one, I attended the Rugby double header this autumn but even considering that I would probably choose the Gladitorial showdown that was Han vs. Fish on the Battle Beam at Thorpe Park! If only the outcome had been different. Personal Moment of the year Taking in our lovely rescue dog, after almost 30 years of really wanting to have a dog I am really pleased that not only has it lived up to my expectations so far but it has surpassed it!
  10. At the moment I can make any of these dates. I'm really looking forward to actually making the Guildford meet this/next year!
  11. I am so pleased that I will be able to make the London meet for the first time! However I have tickets booked for a gig in Shepherds Bush that night and need to get over there for around 7pm. So I will be there for the day activities but will have to skip Winter Wonderland. What kind of time have you got to Madame Tussauds in previous years?
  12. Believe me Pluk I am gutted I can't make this, but I am best man at the wedding so I suppose I better show up!
  13. Unfortunately I will not be able to make this as I have to be at a wedding that weekend.
  14. The "History Buff" really does approve! That comparison came out really well in the end. Unlike the photo of me...
  15. My main concern with the Blair Witch Project/ CCR maze is with how much they would probably have to light the course for H&S reasons if it did not make use of the CCR train and guests had to walk around that area.
  16. I am so pleased that we have now had the maze line up officially announced and that Cabin in the Woods will be there! Although the film may not be to everyone's taste I love it and I'm so pleased that we will be getting to experience it at Thorpe Park this year. If done well it could be an amazing attraction! I think I will definitely have to watch all the films before October now.
  17. I would love to take part in this. But I am not sure that I could guarantee making a particular evening to take part live in chat.
  18. Thanks Sidders, reading through the results of that last round really was great fun. I am so pleased to come 7th in the end, especially after finding the 2nd and 3rd rounds a lot more difficult than I'd hoped. Thanks again Sidders for taking the time to devise such a great quiz and I look forward to taking part in more of them in the future.
  19. I'm glad I'm not the only one Alex!
  20. That's great you enjoyed 7D Experience, which film/game did you play? I played the Zombie game a couple of times whilst we were out there. The first time I was playing by myself the second was later that day with a full theatre. The attraction is designed by TrioTech and is one of the best 4D+ interactive game experiences I have tried to date. So I would also like to see one of these installed in the UK soon even if it remained a seperate paid for attraction.
  21. Banned for having some really cool Thorpe Park Ranger merchandise items that I am really quite jealous of.
  22. Great first report from your trip, I look forward to reading the rest! So glad you are having a great time. I'm pleased you enjoyed Manta, I really want to ride that some time. If it's anything like Blue Fire it should be a really lovely ride... Mack Launch coasters <3
  23. I was just wondering how many people are planning to stay at the park for the full day tomorrow. And whether anyone would be interested in going for a meal afterwards or is the thought that we will all be too tired and heading home to bed after the early start? Sorry I have just found out that I somehow missed Peaj's PM which also mentioned the meal.
  24. Thanks Peaj, wow 7 meets in a row. I didn't realise it had been so many consecutively.
  25. I hope you all have a great time on this trip. Would have been really cool to go, but I think I need to conserve my funds for Orlando.
