No it's not about the car, it's because they are concerned with my driving ability. But having my own car would mean they couldn't tell me where I could and couldn't drive which they will do if I pass my test soon. Ridiculous; if I pass my test then I'm deemed a safe enough driver by the DSA, so I may drive wherever I please in the UK. If they're not going to let me drive anywhere because they're concerned for my safety, why let me learn in the first place? I wouldn't have bothered if I knew at the time I wouldn't be allowed to drive anywhere on my own? How am I supposed to improve my driving ability so I can eventually drive, if I'm not allowed to drive? Idiots. Plus all this arguing with them is causing such unnecessary stress too, I should be focused on more important ****.

So I'm learning to drive, and before I was insured by my parents on their car I made sure there would be no restrictions on when and where I could use it (within reason). (Because otherwise I could've saved up for a cheap car for myself). And now a week away from my test they have basically already forbidden me to drive the car anywhere ever if I pass. What the ****? I'm fine with them being protective or whatever but this could've been avoided. If I knew I wouldn't be allowed to drive anywhere after passing my driving test I would've never learned... So this has just pissed me off on top of a bad day really.

Don't forget the real snakes in the market in Wild Asia too.
  4. It was an abandoned quarry before. They flooded it to give it appeal, a recreational area in the rural-urban fringe.

  11. Does Alton put food out for him?
  12. Ha. Yet still doesn't.
  13. Sorry I haven't looked at the plans in such depth.I understand that three trains or less can be a discussion point, but not how they would be stored or swapped?True, but it was pointed out that it didn't matter and it was great advertising.
  14. Or if they have more than one maintenance bay, just move the train they don't want onto the transfer and into the shed and the spare train onto the transfer track and onto the ride. Why does this matter anyway?
  15. As stated earlier, promo art is not a full indication of how a ride will turn out, remember one of Saw's Promo arts showed three saw discs rolling along the track

Left! (You're facing backwards ) But otherwise spot on.
  17. Everyday for Thorpe then? Wise words.
  18. I hope I've just come at a bad time for the park or I have bad luck going to rides which are closed, because from these past few days it really does seem like just another Thorpe Park in terms of ride reliability. For example, I waited to see Templo Del Fuego and it suffered technical difficulties, but then was back in operation so I went inside, then it suffered technical difficulties so I left towards Hurakan Condor which was suffering from technical difficulties, then past Stampida which was suffering technical difficulties, then Grand Canyon Rapids which was suffering technical difficulties, and then finally Furius Baco which was suffering from technical difficulties. I then spent the rest of the day at the hotel pool. ;)Although the shows and themeing are top notch!
  19. I hate trip reports so here are a few thoughts about PortAventuraThe breakdown rate is unacceptable, and even rivals Thorpe. The amount of times I have queued for or walked past Hurakan Condor and Furius Baco and they have broken down is ridiculous. At one point even Dragon Khan was evacuated whilst I was queueing. The silver river flume broke down for a good 20 minutes with no communication to guests, not even the standard announcement which plays on the other rides when they are broken down.On a plus, Dragon Khan is one of the best B&Ms I've ridden in my opinion.El Diablo was quite fun, and was loading very fast.Stampida was rough but still good. The Silver River Flume was long and you get quite wet, but it lacks themeing completely.Furius Baco is too rough to enjoy but has good themeing, the story is difficult to understand and half of the pre-show wasn't working which didn't help!Hurakan Condor was my first ever drop tower that wasn't Detonator and I felt it lacked force completely, but it gives a nice view of the park and the beach.Grand Canyon Rapids were faster than Rumba Rapids or Congo, and was very well themed. The transport options around the park are good, the boat from Med to China is very useful but sometimes you have to wait quite a long time for a boat to come. The train takes a long time and it would be a lot more useful if there was a stop in China, but nice nonetheless.I have enjoyed myself so far.

Well you dream if you enter rapid eye movement sleep. Which usually happens, but if you are only asleep for say 5 minutes you may not reach that level of sleep.

Oh - Did my study I was talking about however many posts ago, and did Spearmans on my results! Found out it was statistically significant. So there is a correlation between length of queue and enjoyment of a ride. But yeah there were so many flaws of my study that this goes down the drain when you look at all the other possible variables! BUT YAY.
