  1. The Swarms attack is widening! This BMW was submerged yesterday morining on the A320 opposite Salesians. The same stretch of road closed last October but just outside Mclaren. Naughty Swarm, now I have to go a different route to get to Thorpe on Sunday.
  2. Thorpe park responded to a post on FB regarding when Stealth will reopen today.
  3. Theme Park Guide have found out that there won't be an exclusive AP preview night this year. Have to admit I was kind of expecting this. http://www.themeparkguide.biz/news-page/26th-october-2012-thorpe-park-annual-pass-preview-day
  4. They wouldn't gain space as what they gain next to Saw they'd lose in its new position. Moving rides is never the best thing to do (even if it is a fairground ride). They are all delicate pieces of technology that don't want to be loaded up, moved and possibly damaged. The ride is already quite unreliable, moving it won't help this.
  5. I miss that view. Now we have this.
  6. Making everyone walk past Loggers and Rocky seems utterly pointless when there is no need for that barrier but as you said it could be to advertise The Passing more. As for Experiment 10, walking into the barrier must be the new twist that has been heavily advertised for 2012
  7. Well Samurai's page on the Thorpe website has been updated saying it won't open until next season and its been given its own picture just like Slammer. I shall continue to have faith though as it would be nice for Thorpe to exceed themselves for once when it comes to maintenence.
  8. Cedar Fair has decided to close all of its Windseekers after the incident at Knotts. http://www.latimes.com/travel/deals/themeparks/la-trb-knotts-windseeker-riders-stuck-09201221,0,1284072.story
  9. Premium Annual Passholders can now prebook entry into Fright Nights for free. Unlike last year, this must be done for all of the dates you want to visit instead of half term only. Something tells me they expect this year to be very busy. http://www.thorpepark.com/frightnights/premium-pass-entry.aspx
  10. From The Alton Towers Guide FB page. Ministry of Joy anyone?
  11. Surprises me Samurai is still on the ticker and not been given a little sign on its page saying it won't re-open until 2013. Weird though how Colossus is just currently unavailable but Stealth is currently undergoing essential maintanence. Maybe a sign that Stealth's closure could be for quite a while. As long as both are back up and running by Fright Nights I don't see a huge problem as this is technically the quiet season.
  12. Give it a few more days and there will be nothing left of it. Real shame but like Mark said, how long does this and Slammer realistically have left (all respect to the park though for not giving up just yet)
  13. I knew they were building a bridge linking it all up but thought they were waiting until the 2015 coaster and not next season as it now seems to be.
  14. Not sure if this is the right topic but it relates to The Swarm so might as well go here. Rollercoaster Reel posted on their FB page that the sunken gardens are closed due to a new bridge being made going over to The Swarms island according to a staff member. Seems legit and would take the strain of that one bridge.
  15. Well that's a real shame. The park has by far the best variety of flat rides but also the most unreliable. We really need Slammer to re-open now.
  16. It seems Samurai is having some major work done to it with all of the arms taken off, air gates removed and alot of the flooring taken up. Slammer seemed more likely to open in the near future as its blue sheets have been removed. Thought it would be nice to take some pics of Samurai in this unusual state as it suffers from the deadly curse of Slammeritus. Hopefully it will be back in operation soons as it always looks great at Fright Nights.
  17. Saw Alive will be opening at 11am and The Passing at 3pm as that's when the first time slot is. It really does sound intense and most definately a worlds first. I am really hoping for park wide theming and more roaming actors as the park is being transformed into a prison like facility. Guess we'll know all the answers in just under a month.
  18. At least if there is a £3 charge for the new maze it shouldn't suffer from long queues as I'd presume each ticket would have a timed slot (but they will probably oversell them just like fast track).
  19. Actually he has to ride it for 8 hours each day with a 5 minute break each hour if he wants.
  20. Huge congratulations to Richard Rodriguez for completing the 103 days on PMBO yesterday. It shall be interesting to see how much he wants to smash the record by.
  21. 1 train for Fastrack and 1 for the normal queue is horrendous. I wish The Swarm would destroy the Fastrack counters and all the staff who sell them at the ride entrances.
  22. The framework for one of the enclosures now seems complete. Credit to Theme Park guide
