  2. So, looks like Bubbleworks was damaged after all. https://scontent-b-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/t1/1604523_610576705664299_1692833316_n.jpg?dl=1 Photo courtesy of Themepark Guide.
  3. I'm not that impressed. I think it was better when you just paid £16 each year for a capsule and could refill as much as you wanted during the whole day. Also with the old capsules, It was very helpful on a number of trips last season when I was short on cash and could just rehydrate by getting it filled up. With the slightly smaller capsule and 75p filling fee (per top up), I can't see me usi g this more than twice a day. That's if I even decide to purchase a new one. Bad move IMO, don't fix something that wasn't really broken.
  4. I've also just seen the Lego which I can only say is brilliant. The plot and storyline is fantastic with an exciting storyline and a lot of humorous moments and some excellent characters, plus a slight twist towards the end of the film too. I strongly recommend seeing this film especially if youre a fan.

  6. The new theming of the area actually looks pretty decent, with the landscaped bridge, log flume tunnel and surrounding buildings. I hope we see this sort of treatment to our log rides in future as they now lack in theming. I assume that yellow corkscrew track was part of the old Superwirbel coaster which closed last year?
  7. I think its fantastic how the park seems to be improving the stealth area for 2014 and expanding this outlet can only be a good thing. I did think they could've done more to the area as it did seem a little wasted considering there was loads of open space, but this should improve things there. Great to see stealth receiving more improvements year upon year. Who knows, maybe we'll receive that original awesome queue line plan in the future which was sadly scrapped/cut back.
  8. I remember when the water uses used to run between the park and farm then getting many rides on the old flying fish. Those days were fun.
  9. This is good news IMO considering it was also the only major coaster at the park without a shop. Glad to see it will be an actual structure/building rather than a shipping container, which have now become a cliche due to their frequent use. 2014 looks like it could be another good year for the park.
  10. I found the (new) Dungeons to be really good actually. Very atmospheric and well themed with lots of humerous touches such as the singing heads at the exit. The Traitor boat ride and Extremis were very good too. That bring said, never went to the old dungeons, so I can't give a full opinion on that aspect.
  11. Here's part one of a movie made from my trip to the park back in April. Edit- part two is live now too.

    Logger's Leap

Yeah, the new divider boats were put on the ride in 2011, when all the Merlin park log rides made by Mack changed their height restrictions from 0.9m to 1.2m and made a few modified boats with dividers so they could cater for people slightly smaller than 1.2m.

    Logger's Leap

Merlin may be the second biggest themepatk group, but they're definately not second best.

    Logger's Leap

In just over a months time, the park will be open again for 2014 and Loggers will be 25 years old, but the big question is, will they replace the ageing and now partly removed tunnel? I personsly think they won't, because of the effort being put in to Angry Birds land, it could prove challenging to re-landscape it, considering the old structure is between the slightly hilly surroundings (unless the foundations are stable enough to cater a new roof) and also, there's also no major marketing aspect to it as most of the action in 2014 will likely be around the north/west side of the park.

  18. Double Post (yikes), but it's been a while. Part two of my Towers trip last year is now online.

    Submission

Never went on Submission, so can't really say an opinion about this ride except, it's a shame I never got to try it, eventhough a lot of people said it was an uncomfortable experience. Looks like that's another empty ride spot in Towers, seeing that Beastie become SBNO three years ago and was ripped out in 2013. I can't really see what they would replace it with though in future ride wise, but I'll expect it'll be just a big gap for 2014.
  20. I expect we'll see the back of it by 2015. Presumably we'll get a new show there (maybe of another past it's hey day I.P), plus I'm certain Toadies is on borrowed time before it goes.
  21. I've never been to Paultons park, but hear its a pretty good family park and includes lots of great additions such as Cobra, Edge and Pepper Pig Land. In terms of the 2015 investment, I would love to see either an immersive dark ride with a track system, a new family coaster or a small well themed rapids ride. Entrance concept art, definately looks an improvement from the old one though.

    Legoland

After the closure of Crossed Ribs at the end of the2013 season, I can confirm the eateries' replacement will be the Burger Kitchen, how original . Apparently they're also opening a second one in Lego City, which will replace the Burger Ranch. Can't say I'm too impressed with this, considering they have similar branded outlets at Chessington and Towers. http://www.legoland.co.uk/Explore/restaurants/
  23. Currently availible for at least three of the dates above. Definately want to attend this as I really enjoyed this last year and also it's my TPM anniversary meet along with Alpengeist and James & co.
  24. Following on from my Oakwood ones, here's another due video trip report of part one from my trip to Alton Towers. Part two should hopefully follow soon.
  25. I'll be there, so please put me on the list.
