The Smiler: How the Correction Occurs
Matt 236 commented on Mitchada04's blog entry in A Year of Britain
I love you're creative writing and narration for these blogs, was an interesting read. -
From what I saw yesterday, the answer to that question is probably no. Firstly There was still the very long congested queue out of the park to the end of Winkfield road and this was an hour after park close. Secondly, I've looked around the road to see if they could potentially widen it. Whilst they could make the road two lanes towards the Legoland end of Winkfield road, the rest near the houses doesn't look possible due to the close proximity of houses there. Two additional things to note are that on the LegolaƱd exit road from the park, the direction board now says the M4, M3,M25 etc. Are on the right whilst the left one now just says local traffic which despite this attempt diversion, still doesn't seem to be working so well. Also, there was a (Texaco) petrol station on the other end of the road (on the M4 side) which appears to have closed down and become a car dealer. Maybe this is to potentially reduce traffic on that road or just a coincidence. Seeing as the park haven't opened this year's main addition yet (Heartlake City), unless you count the rethemed driving & boating school rides, they may have a chance seeing as this shows the patk is busy and popular regardless of new additions.

Appears to be getting eaten by shark. Wherevthis shark is I don't know. Thorpe, Europa, who knows? 7.5/10

Pirates, because a certain ride in a certain park is calling me Back to the future or Jaws?

Following the disapointing news of the refusal of the park's Haunted House attraction last August, the park have decided to make an appeal over the planning. http://www.windsorexpress.co.uk/News/Areas/Windsor/Appeal-launched-over-new-haunted-house-at-Legoland-02042015.htm Although I'm dying (pun not intended) for this new ride to open, I'm still slightly doubtful of its approval following the park's traffic problems. I went to the patk yesterday on a three quarter day and it took me 30 minutes to get from the car park to the other end of Winkfield road when I left an hour after park close.

I'm doing Disney for the first time ever in 3 weeks. So excited :D Really want to go to Efteling first come to mind. I really want to do Europa Park, however would need people to come along Garda's now tempting too (for some reason).

They did have, atleast in 2014.Part of me wonders if this could actually be something to do with the brakes/chains instead of the trains themselves.

Random Post Alert! I was just thinking, seeing how run down & poor Tomb Blaster is these days, if they could ever refurbish it to something like Ramesis at Gardaland. The ride there like Tombs involves gun shooting and everything, is heavily themed and also features lots more effects. Just an idea, but could work quite well if they were to ever consider it.

I'm not sure if anyone is aware, but during the first selected days (to vote for) in May will be when the park is running their Star Wars event. http://www.legoland.co.uk/Plan/Events/LEGO-Star-Wars-Weekend/?month=5&year=2015 Whilst I've not been to event, it will likely bring a mixed bag of pros & cons along with. 1/ If you're in to (Lego) Star Wars, special events, activities and character march parades etc. This may be worth voting for. 2/ if you're not in to waiting long lines, lots of loud disruptive kids and being in a place when it could hit capacity, this may not be worth voting for. I'm not pressuring any one what they can/can't vote for, but more so just suggesting. Lego friends will also be opening up this month (but I'm not sure when).

It seems it's nearly two weeks since the exciting open meet. Well here's the [un]official meet video which features numerous moments during the day and spooning game [anything pre 1pm is omitted due to my absence] plus the results of the game at the end.

Trains Airports can be soulless hassling places (especially in modern times) Euro star or euro tunnel

Facebook Closed Vampire or limited capacity vampire

Oh dear oh dear, things are still going pear shaped for Chessie then. Instead of bashing them for getting just 1/3 of its transport hardware in operation, there is one thing that must be considered. Vampire is 25 years old this year, An age span ive heard from somewhere apparent is the approximate lifespan for these suspended swinging coasters. Thus being an arrow still (in many ways) even after the vekoma refurbishment means the ride is likely to become harder to maintain, especially now it has reached 25. Whilst the park will likely want to keep the ride for as long as possible, due to the park's planning difficulties and still being in many ways the park's icon, Chessington will want to try keep this ride going for as long as possible until the ride has reached a state where it can no longer be maintained. One thing for sure is when Vampire dies and needs removing is whatever replaces it (perhaps with Bubbleworks too) will be noticeably smaller scale due to planning reasons unless on the very unlikely off chance, a force or body made planning laws relaxed significantly.

Double post! Matt Creek (me) has returned. That farewell vlog was just an April fools joke (that most of you didn't fall for). So I'm back to return all the creaky news back to TPM, whether that be Disney stuff or my randomness!!

Star Wars! I have returned from the creaking dead!!!!!! Epic exit or come back?

I hear Heide park is receiving a new flyer called Air The Blade in 2027. On a more serious note, on the assumption Thorpe's dark ride involves screens (for at least part of the ride), perhaps there are exciting times ahead.

Source DLRP fans Looks like Disneyland Paris annual passes will be going up next month (and in time for my visit ) I'm sure they'll still be worth the money though for everything there, plus it's not like they're doing budget cuts or jumping it well above inflation (glares at a certain number of Merlin parks).
-
Hmmm, that doesn't sound to promising then, especially since you enjoyed Cbeebeies & Angry Birds Land (both of which have had their fair share of criticisms). I'm yet to experience this attraction (will hopefully get it done in the coming weeks) and in the process, am trying avoid POV's & pictures of the inside of the attraction in the meantime.

Considering I was kinda giving this lots of slack before it opened, I can say it looks moticeably better than I was expecting. Looks a genuine fun thrilling with lots of effects and theming and interactions. Still shame the drop isn't quite as striking as likes of Krake & Blivvy (it's all about drops) but aside from that looks ok.

I think it's a possible hint (from an unknown force) they need to start improving things (upkeep' operations & hours).
