Used the Thorpe one a few times which is pretty helpful. Found what the queue times were plus plenty more hints and tips and information for those who aren't sure of where everything is too. Legoland's isn't too bad either.

Yeah, Valhalla is just the best water ride in the uk (and maybe one of the best in Europe) Pretty much wipes the floor with almost every other uk water ride currently, Falls, the flume and even Loggers to name a few.

In terms of this 'proposed' roller coaster plan, I'm just hoping they can creatively plan and work it out so that it doesn't have much obstruction to the park's landscape as the park seem pretty jammed up on building anything new/major currently. I reckon the following could happen at the park ( should things go to plan). 2015- new show & penguin update 2016- major ride-retheme (presumably bubbles or tombs) 2017 major animal area refurbishment and possible ride update 2018 brand new ride (if they can get planning permission) Just a guess, if falls isn't going to be touched for the foreseeable future, they may as well just build a new ride/s on the spot and area there.

Do the mazes in the following order Studio 13 My Bloody Valrntine Cabin Saw Queue up for Blair Witch 30 minutes before it opens or leave it until after 8pm Do rides (during the day) in the following order Saw (always gets the most queues Colossus X Stealth Inferno Swarm (I say Searm last because it started on one train when I headed to it at the start of the day first).

Despite everyone's hopes and intentions on seeing a re-enhanced Dragon Falls next year, part of me thinks this won't be happening now, especially with the suspected new penguin show, enclosure enhancement and the fact that Skyway will probably need a fair amount of work done to it as well. Also, the dragon tunnel is usually repainted every 2 years and as this was done last year, I reckon falls will be neglected for yet another year and won't be improved until 2016 (where we see the new improved falls).

The Swarm was a reliable investment but not overly successful, The Smiler was a successful investment but not overly reliable. Let's hope this attraction can be both successful and reliable.

Whilst the park has flaws (like most things) and many seem to moan and complain about Thorpe, there's lots of good aspects about the place. 1/ Two decent B&M's which seem to be only getting better through age 2/ Two good intamins, one which is only second in height to the big one and the other the one that put the place on the map. 3/ One of the best themeparks for special events, Summer Nights, MOS, Fright Nights (one of the best U.K. Halloween events) including the fantastic face it alone and potentially Easter special events on the increase. 4/ the best collection of flat rides in uk parks. 5/ the best uk indoor coaster (thhohgh thats not saying a,lot) 6/ one of the biggest water rides in the country 7/ an immersive 4D cinema With a park overhaul, loggers & Rumba TLC, I'm sure there would be even more good points for the park.

This is great news for Thorpe and I am potentially excited about this. Why potentially I hear you ask? Being a dark ride, there is a lot more work, effort and creativity needed to pull off such a fantastic ride and hopefully it will tick the boxes of being good throughput, immersive with a good storyline, plot, pace and theming and also a great investment. Whilst I'm sad to hear the passing of the caroulsel, yet another classic from the pre-Tussaud's days, despite being a centrepiece to the park's past, I did feel the ride system was starting to look worn, dated and slightly out of place (even in the gradually family friendly returning) Thorpe, plus I feel the arena's footprint will be put to better use with no space wasted and MBV can be easily relocated elsewhere in the park. Happy Mr monkeys! Calypso BBQ, Studio/Inferno shop and also the pathway are staying as it would take away a huge chunk of oark space away plus ruin the park's flow too. If Thorpe pull off this mammoth (non major coaster) ride, it will do them great and be a fantastic addition which will hopefully be successful for them. Wonder what this means now for Fungle's site?

Those lasers look awesome! Ramesis at night just looks fantastic like pretty much all of Chessington. Hopefully I'll get to see this one day.

Tbh the new island could probably only really have a new large roller coaster built on it (unless you count a shipping container hotel). Personally if Thorpe are building a dark ride, it will have to be built on the main island (before the infilling began) otherwise it could not be stable enough on the foundations.

Saw Alive has been alright although I would say it's the weaker of the mazes on most visits. But on face it alone, it's been the best!

Never did Colossus in the morning but 90 minute queues! Could be the reason why. I queued for it around 8-9pm where it was 45 minutes and trains were dispatching every 2 minutes I think, probably the worst operated coaster yesterday although saw was on 7 cars (at least to begin with).

Despite my hit and miss previous visit I returned to Thorpe (once) again yesterday for my 12th and (likely) final trip of 2014. Ride count/ Inferno 2x Swarm X 2x Colossus Stealth 2x Saw Rumba 2x Loggers Rocky Quantum Vortex Depth Charge Teqcups Detonator Total/ 18 Maze count Blair Witch My a Bloody Valentine Cabin Total 3 Overall total 21 Despite the park (supposedly) reaching capacity (although the actual number was nearer to 13k as opposed to 18k) though the park felt busy it certainly didn't feel unbearable or heaving really. Coasters reached 1-2 hours in the peak of the day and mazes 90-120 minutes (which isn't much more than others days I've gone). Pros Good run through on a Blair witch Best run through on MBV yet Swarm in the dark Front row inferno in the dark was a nice end to the day (and season) Stealth was open Good operations on Swarm, Stealth & Inferno (for. Out of the day) Rumba at night is underrated Seeing a few familiar faces working there Colossus ran surprisingly smooth at night Got on Blair Witch quickly Vortex was running well (and in good in the dark) Cons Saw's effects are completely broken So is Inferno's mist Swarm started the day on one train Swarm's 'cattle pen of doom' (the one behind station) was being used (crust when you thought the queue was quiet) Tea cups are still stiiff Colossus Operations (took 2 minutes to dispatch each train, at one stage I though it was only on one) Not being able to queue up for S13 because it was closed before I could even ask (one person doesn't hurt) Seeing your typical disruptive park visitors every so often Despite facing the park alone, I supposedly had a better day out yesterday than I had on the 24th. Whether this was due to Stealth being open, being more laid back or having no a Chessington trip cancelled I'm not sure. The only things that made Fridays trip better than this one was my amazing run through on Face It Alone and spending the day with Scary a Coaster Boy & Jack. Although this will most likely be my final proper themepark trip this year (except for London/Winter Wonderland & perhaps Legoland Christmas), It was a nice end to the 2014 season (especially Inferno front row at night). I've renewed my magic pass for yet another year (although losing 12 days off my last one due to date differences). However despite this I doubt I'll get 12 trips next year (2 which were actually a bonus this year) and not to mention I have hopes/intentions to escape the Merlin machine next year should things go to plan (so far only doing so at Blackpool and tickley world), potential blog on the way to analyse this year more.
