  1. Went on Colossus yesterday and the ride was surprisingly smooth and came off without a headache and this wasn't within the front row. I don't know whether its just the second train (which I think was replaced or heavily refurbished this year) or the ride is getting smoother.

  2. I agree with Ethan, this definitely was the best meet so far of the year, I really enjoyed getting 6 rides on Inferno, the interesting tour of behind the scenes with the ride which included seeing the tunnel area and also the restricted place where the ride's track is located which is surprisingly close to the ground. Some people were lucky enough to see the lift hill too.

Other factors that made this meet the best included the great turnout of people old and new of different ages and it was great to see many new faces. I also thoroughly enjoyed the after meet meal (AMM) which was the first time I was able to attend one within a meet which I thoroughly enjoyed despite regrettably ordering a red hot sauce with my meal (:P).

I would like to thank TPM and Thorpe for organising this excellent opportunity and everyone who attended who without wouldn't have made this possible.

Additional thanks go to fish for giving me a lift from Thorpe to the Harvester and Ian for helping directions with my taxi home.

    I look forward til MOS

  3. In its early years, Vampire was considered a thrill ride (which back then the uk had no B&Ms, shock wave or PMBO). I think through time when newer rides have appeared, it's started to tame down in appearances when twenty years ago most would see it as thrill coaster while to most now, it is seen more as family coaster (whether the train change had anything to do with it).

  4. This ride seems to lack energy and it doesn't really build up speed during the circuit. The backwards launch looks pretty Cool. The layout looks okay and quite fun but it just lacks energy from what I've seen.

Shame they removed a classic log flume that looked perhaps the slightly better of two.

  5. Really enjoyed this meet at Legoland. The rides were very enjoyable despite there only being one or two thrilling ones and the new Duplo Valley area looked excellent and much better than it did before.

I would like to thank Peaj for organising a brilliant meet and everyone who attended. Roll on ERT

Stay tuned for my trip report and movie.

  6. As a themepark enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoy visiting themepark and attractions and trying out new rides and experiences. However there are many themeparks and attractions out there that I dream of visiting and have yet to visit.

So the question is, which ten themeparks and/or attractions in the world would you like to visit that you haven't seen yet and why?

For me, the list has to be

10/ Gardaland, Merlin international sister park which has the exciting looking Raptor

9/ Heide Park, I like the look of all those rides plus Kraken too

8/ Disney Land Paris, looks amazing and magical with exciting rides plus the nearest big park to uk

7/ Knotts Berry Farm, lots of roller coasters and a big sized park

6/ Sea World, amazing area with a great sea theme

5/ Phantasialand, Black Mamba looks amazing

4/Universal islands of adventures, one word, Harry Potter world

3/ Walt Disney World, amazing giant scale rides there

2/ Port Aventura, Shambhala looks mind blowing

1/ Europa Park, just watching videos of the place has made me fall in love with the park it looks wonderful.

  7. Best luck with it jack, hope it goes well.

I have now finished my college course (L3 music Practice) which I have achieved a grade of triple distinction star (D*D*D*) which is equivalent to three A stars. Apparently I'm only the third person ever on my course to have achieved it. I feel over the moon about my results.

Meanwhile, the rest of my class apparently are badly behind work (perhaps more so than the smiler) which is a shame for them.
