  1. The only improvements they’ve made is the remarkable duration of time it takes them to dispatch a vehicle at a time. It’s astonishing how this ride used to run on five vehicles and reach an hourly throughput of 1000 PPH. These days it’s 500 on four vehicles and by the time you’ve sorted Fastrack and RAP you are probably looking at just 250 from the main queue. As for the ride itself, the state is something of an embarrassment especially considering what it once was.

    Legoland

I suppose it is then. Because I never thought we would actually see them add a Coaster. The only RMC Thorpe will ever get is the people who founded it back in 1979. Can’t see them getting a Coaster soon.
  3. Rocky Express being closed for night rides is a travesty! It’s one of the few good things about the event. They can keep Tug and Lumber closed as long as they like, maybe the whole day if they like.

    Legoland

This is the ride I have dreamed of them building! At least one Merlin Park is getting a coaster then.
  5. The question is though, are you still on Team Taron? Cant remember what else the park has to offer but think there’s quite a few coasters, a big wheel and a ‘’scary UV walkthrough’’ which is a bit like Hocus Pocus.
  6. If Derren Brown’s Ghost Train is the future of theme parks, then Legoland Windsor is the best European theme park and The Big One the best coaster in Europe! Could go on, but nope.
  7. Currently working but should be able to tag along for the last few hours though. If I can swap shifts I should be there for the whole day.
  8. Pretty sure it would be in it’s fourth location then. Jumbos originally opened with Circus World, which is where Wild Asia is now. That area closed around the late nineties and Jumbos was relocated to Toy Town (now Africana) with a now removed Clown Coaster. It stayed there for numerous years until it was relocated to it’s current location in 2012, to make way for the current stage area there now. The area where the ride is now was once home to the iconic Rodeo attraction, which also used to be in Circus World. Rodeo closed around 2004/2005 time I believe. Chessington has had a fair fair history of rides moving about, but I don’t think any of have seen as much compared to the Flying Jumbos ride. It’s new location will be where the old Carousel was, which is currently home to a cheap upcharge attraction.
  9. As someone who also used to work at a theme park, much of that is very relatable. Too often you got people waltzing upto the platform with kids considerably smaller than the limit. When you told them they were too short they would go ballistic with you. Working just shows you how stupid and self entitled people can be sometimes as guests would complain about literally everything. On the plus side testing the rides was fun, sometimes you got socials (which sometimes included rides) and some very reasonable perks. Most theme park jobs aren’t glamorous, high paying or ‘’long term’’ career based, but are great if you want to get your foot into the door for a career, have an interest in the theme park/tourism industry or if you want a Summer/college/Uni job.
  10. The Park are wasting no time in demolishing Bob, but then again they have an intense schedule with the replacement coasters opening next year. Source-Loopings Whilst it was nowhere near my favourite coaster, seeing this fun attraction being demolished is rather saddening. R.I.P Bob 1985-2019
  11. Halloween event fans be like: TBF, given last year’s travesty at Fright Nights, I can see why. Let’s hope they do a better event this year.
  12. Nice. I know feel Inspired and confident to petition for Thorpe to reopen Loggers Leap and Towers to rebuild Thunder Looper.
  13. Not swaying the vote, but I would rather deal with longer queues than travellers causing havoc to everyone and everything. However, with me scheduled as working for both days I haven’t voted, but will try and swap for the day it is. If not I’ll probably tag along for the last few hours.
  14. What if the park will actually drop Buccaneer as returning next year to distract most people of Ramesis going? I’m no conspiracy theorist, but what if they deliberately closed Bucaneer this year so they could remarked it to distract from a lager job and ride removal.
  15. Well I didn’t see this coming! Ok, I saw Ramesis being spited coming as that thing has been struggling for years. So glad they are investing in new hardware, let alone a flat ride. If if it isn’t opening next year, I wonder what is?
  16. Does anyone remember when Traveller Sunday is at Fright Nights? As I wouldn’t recommend that Sunday.
  17. I was saving all of those for future trips when I could appreciate them more. Heidi is fairly high on my European bucket list. Even if it is that doesn’t beat Stealth. I’m putting bets on it being down for the rest of the season and opening late next year then
  18. So glad it’s finally open again. Means I don’t need to go all the way to Port Aventura to get my Intamin accelerator fix now!
  19. I think the scariest attraction is going to be leaving the car park at the end of the night. The amount if time it takes to leave is honestly frightening!
  20. Not surprised they are ditching their bell. It didn’t have a large throughput and apparently didn’t perform particularly well. The new kids attractions look lovely though and am sure will make a fine addition to this charming park. Better chance in the getting that than a major coaster though. Who’s placing bets?
  21. Not very keen on the inclusion of actors in Hex. There are some attractions that benefit from actors but this is not one of them. Hex is a marvellous attraction as it is and just needs some updates here and there, but not with actors. Use the money to fix the effects and hardware instead they should.
  22. I think this park just became my number one European bucket list park. The way they are expanding and developing is just incredible. This Coaster looks simply amazing, like pretty much everything they have added since Hyperion. Just need to get rid of the cheapy stuff from it’s early years for the newer quality they are now investing in.
  23. Valravn for me was one of the weakest coasters at Cedar Point and probably my least favourite Dive Coaster overall. Whilst there are a couple of good points, the ride just doesn’t feel like it’s achieving anything and there is wasted potential with the attraction. Long queues don’t hold it’s favour either. Right carrying on: The original Eurosat is better than Can Can Coaster Rumba Rapids is currently better than Congo River Rapids (in it’s current state) Silverstar’s last third is better than Shambhala’s last third Wodan is better than Troy
  24. Big Top is returning to the park! Someone brought the wrong clothing size. Oh, and that good circus themes maze is gone.
