I think most major Alton Towers rides are great because they are created on the basis of a unique concept, rather than just a chosen theme such as "pirates", "monsters" or a culture like "Africa". So yes, while none really have excellently designed themes, they find other ways of being special.
I think this highlights a UK problem though. We have plenty of good/great rides, but very few whole, more complete experiences.

Thanks for that.
When I said moving around, I meant the fact that I knew that the Paris one was slightly down, but didn't know if Florida was or by how deep.
Edit: oops, probably should have thought to use the spoiler tags. Sorry guys! -
How tall is tower of terror? It's a little tricky to tell considering it moves around and all that

Those need to be some comfy seats and restraints, if you're going to first be lying on the restraints, then thrown back into them, before reaching brakes and being flung back into the restraints. If they aren't padded that would kill!

I would love that, but I don't see getting it anytime soon

Very exciting! Interested to see how this develops...

now that I could get to liking

meanwhile oop north...

is that the piece they had trouble with?

Oh no, Blackpool if rejuvenated could be absolutely fantastic, but at the moment it's the clientele that I think may prevent a return to a "golden era".
On a side note, what has the effect of merlin's investment in Blackpool been? Has it been successful so far?
-
or just Blackpool at all.

Meanwhile at alton towers...

I thought that was chessington?
-
not if merlin studios are involved

I'm just wondering, what's the occupancy rate of the hotel like? Was it worth it?
-
I really like that second one. There's something different about it... I can't work out why though
-
Did they get rid of the troll bridge? That's a shame.
Overall, I don't have a problem with these changes. I think it's great that a little attraction with ( I imagine) very little profit is done up like this. Admittedly the voices are interesting, and pieces we remember have gone, but the fact that perhaps my favourite ride in Legoland still gets some love, is a nice thought.

clearly you never read "Heil grandma"!
that looks fantastic, everything is so clean, especially the concrete! it looks brand new. well done Legoland.

I do remember having queued for 2 hours for the dragon once. not fun, especially as some of the turrets have rather annoying and loud noises...
-
I'm gonna reply as they did:
"It certainly isn't water"

That to me seemed like a high quality well rounded impartial response to an incident in which all riders were completely safe...
Oh wait...

But now it says it opens next Sunday... Which is still wrong... WOW ITV... Woooow
