Its not my loyalty I'm as bemused as anybody that it opens 4 hours after opening, the demand thing is an excuse Oakwood has given in the past, its really a case of the endless safety checks which they have gone abit mad on it seems or shut it down forever and when I have been there is very much a sufficient demand for the thing it can easily get a 2 hr queue (although that can be due to the fact of the ott restraint checks and the fact it only runs on 1 train but hey ho). I do think they should tone down on the safety checks and open at 12pm as its getting a little stupid now, I think the only way they would get rid of Drenched/Hydro is if they didn't have enough demand to fill the trains to a minium of 12 per train each day, I think it would cost more to rip it apart then keep it there. But then thats just me EDIT: It also confuses me with the 2pm thing beacause there has been many a time where I have heard people say its closed till then because its dangerous and needs extra time, it just paints it in a bad light even after all these years.

They never used to close it till 2pm before though its only something that has happened after that incident I see what you mean about it not being more important, its just when I have always gone they have always tinkered with the ride when they just open so I feel its because of some money reasons but mostly because they want to make sure its safe.

Oh well but I think the 2pm thing is mostly due to checks and the fact most will go to Speed and Megafobia in the morning I can;t think of any other reason why tbh.

Safety checks are more important on a ride that has killed some, that is why they don't open it to atleast 2pm, everything has to be quintuple checked so nothing happens that is why throughput is so slow when it is open because of checks because they are really OTT but necessary. Most people I know would rather ride it after 3pm and be wet for the journey home then ride it at opening and be wet the whole day because in the car atleast you dont really have to pay for a warm heat blast to dry you

Most people go on the water rides at the end of the day anyway because of the reason Jamie specified, and planenut it, you may not of seen them do stuff before 1pm but that still gives them an adequate time to do final checks on Drenched, because its very important. Its still my favourite water ride ever though although I'm still confused as to why they built it though as oakwood is in wales.... and it rains alot

Ok so most should know by now I went to Europa Park, unfortunately I can't do the trip report at the moment because I'm still busy but soon I WILL!! Long story short it was an extremely busy day (for a thursday) with queues of 65 minutes on wodan, 80 minutes on eurosat, and 70 minutes on Poseidon. I went on all rides apart from Pegasus, Eurosat (because of the stupid queue time) and Alpen Expess (It was broke all day). I thoroughly enjoyed my day and I do think this is by far the best park I have ever been to. Wodan, Blue Fire, Silver Star and Euro Mir are all world class IMO and I am so going there next year. Same here! I never been to a fright nights shock horror, I wish I could of done the pre 2013 non IP mazes but every cloud and that. I really want to do Saw: Alive seeming that will be the oldest maze and the one you guys have all been in but I most look forward to Blair Witch, the film scared the hell out of me and if pulled off perfectly it could be fantastic, the other ones I'm excited and I'm keeping an open mind because they might be terrible or it might work well. Who knows

It would only kill if it still had the non existant lap bars the original had and I had the misfortune of going on back in 2003, I was above height restriction but I almost fell out, they werent good although there is no chance with the OTSR's. Plus the 2pm isn't just because of popularity its also makes time for them to make all the necessary checks so it wont kill someone again and it used to have 2 boats so its throughputs have decreased somewhat. Its a gret ride shame that its tainted tbh.

I went on Wodan yesterday before the park closed, It was incredibly fast and it had loads of airtime and it was VERY VERY TWISTY. Perfect in my eyes with out loops or stuff but Altitude is right technology moves on and I'd probably enjoy a looping woodie unless it had otsr's.

I am loving seeing this project take place it looks like its going to be a fun theme park with a good selection of rides, although it still looks odd with the 4 heartlines in tri rail track
