Well usually the hype comes from people who have ridden them, so I'm not judging till I have actually ridden it.
-
Ah, thanks for that EC. A bit of an ugly colour to paint wood though.
No worries man, and yeah it is a bit odd, I would have prefered white but then I do quite like the colour scheme still.

With Wicked cyclone the immediate supports touching the track are steel but most of the rest of the support structure atleast for the taller parts of support structure is wood just painted grey, it gives the illusion more is steel then actually is tbh. Plus Twisted Colossus is seen as a hybrid by Six Flags, as it has been marketed by them as the worlds longest hybrid coaster.
As you can see here this was it during the construction, when they started painting, a lot of the ride is still wood...

POV!!!!
Reverse (looking at riders) POV
From reading around sites and forums, this ride seems to have been classed better then any other rides at Magic Mountain, so that hype seems to be going strong still, can't wait to try this out next year!!
Just to compare also here is its now also open RMC Brother, WIcked Cyclone! I'm not sure which I like the look of better
And its Reverse POV
From these POV's these 2 creations seem to be a lot more airtime focused then previous RMC models also which is a good thing!
-
So, its very slight but supposedly this is a little 15 mph launch into the prelift hill section, that people who have been on the ride for the pass preview, has meant it has small pops of airtime on that part, I mean I will believe it when I see a slightly better video but this looks interesting...

It was £16 the other week!? weird...
-
Nah they are £16 for AP holders at least that is what I saw on the website.
-
Yes.

This support is so vile and ridiculous... I love it!! <3
I love this last photo, really shows how MASSIVE this is!! This is going to be one evil beast of a ride!
-
I want to go there so bad now! The speed it takes on that immelmann is quite fast for a dive coaster which looks promising
-
I wonder if it will be just a regular Zamperla Disk'O or the Disk'O Coaster version?
-
I will be there but with work colleagues so, I might occasionally bump into you guys and say hi
-
Drenched is open, they have posted videos of it open this year on facebook
-
I could actually do this one! I won't have any exams left and, I will still be home because of the study leave period, put me down as maybe I will deffo try and atleast make Drayton as I have never been there before
-
Come in Dean I was there with you and it was not forceless or boring it just had a hideous rattle that was worse then the worst rides I've had on Colossus, but it was still a very intense in parts, that zero-G roll <3 <3
-
Magnificent looking coasts <3 <3 some people are saying that this "inversion" is just a very overbanked turn and some are saying it's a corkscrew so we will have to see what happens in later construction updates but it already looks so so good!!
-
Few photos of Twisted Colossus looking extra twisty
-
More pictures of construction!!
Looking fab so far!!

-Lots of details added all over the park.
-Some standard looking walls near River Quest have been decorated to look more like castle walls.
-Africa has a lot of small details and stuff added.
-Loads of stuff in the park has gotten a paint job, including Berlin, Black Mamba's queue and China.
-Flowers added
-River Quest queue has gotten a big make-over
-Not entirely sure, but on the photos it looks like Black Mamba has gotten a paint job too.
There is also a new show.Ohh Phantasialand

From Towers times.
After the recent outcry over operational changes for the new season, Alton Towers have amended some of their staggered openings.
On weekdays: Rita, Th13teen, Skyride, Cloud Cuckoo Land, Hex, Ripsaw, Congo River Rapids, The Flume, and Nemesis: Sub Terra, will all open at 11am.
At weekends: Ripsaw, Congo River Rapids, The Flume, and Nemesis Sub:Terra, will open at 11am with all other rides opening with the park. However, opening hours for this weekend have been reduced, with the park now closing at 5pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, instead of the previously advertised 5:30pm.
What are your thoughts on these latest changes?
Source:
I think it is terrible this, the fact that so many rides will have staggered opening and the fact it is now closing earlier. Its just not acceptable...

Well that structure they are building is definately for the Heartline shaped thing straight after the first drop! The Layout looks great

I think this is the worst incident I have heard so far for a uk theme park since the Hydro tragedy 11 years ago, hope everyone is okay!
