I don't think inversions matter that much on Mack Launches. To me, plenty of ejector air, good pacing and theming/terrain interaction are higher up on the Agenda.

E.G: Watching the POVs of Helix, the reason I want to ride it so much is the ejector air, relentlessness and terrain interaction- the inversions kind of pass over my head.

Anyway, I need to get to BPB soon...!

It very much does on Blue Fire which only has 1 airtime hill which is quite weak anyway when I rode it. The Inversions that interact with the terrain is what makes helix, it only has 3 airtime hills and is seen more as a launched multi-looper so I think to say the inversions don't matter that much isn't correct in my opinion although as someone who is partial to some good airtime, I would be very open to more airtime as the current big thrill launchers have been more about the inversions.

  2. 3 inversions doesn't seam like much tbh. I feel like this will have more as Blue Fire does have 4 and Helix 7, Id assume if it was a multi launch it would have more then 4 inversions although any mack launch is an amazing investment so I am very excited for this!

  3. Because they were all ripping in to oakwood about the fact that the first week they have been open, drenched, bounce, vertigo, snake river falls, tinks flying school and the pirate ship were all down because they either were waiting for parts or the ride hadn't passed its safety certificate yet. Drenched is still closed as is tinks still, which is incredibly poor show for oakwood. Even poorer that they deleted all the bad comment complaining about this... idiot move oakwood...

  4. Wasn't there also a short lived flying coaster thing that was at the now closed Granada Studios in the UK? Strongly recall RCDB having one listed a while back.

If you read and clicked the link on josh's post youd be able to see that he did link that coaster ;)

  5. So these interesting looking turned up outside Oakwood today...

So first thing about this is that it does look like Oakwood are giving up on Sleepy Hollow and have instead trademarked "James and the Giant Peach"....

    Oh god...

Number 2 is that people on the interwebs say that these supports, look identical to this coaster

I mean its a cred but its a bit ehh...

  6. Yeah and they may just be repainted at the front only, but it's still a nice addition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the UK's newest and best woodie.

Nah if you look closely to the side of the train, it is silver on the whole train.

Because that is exactly how Oakwood has worded it lol.

Are those new trains or just re-themed #trains?

And no they aren't, they are just re-themed for Megafobia's 20th anniversary.

  9. Good to see Oakwood making some improvements to the appearance of the park, it definitely needed doing.

    They also posted a picture of this year's park map which shows Megafobia with a gold train;

Still no news on "Sleepy Hollow" though so I can only assume that it's not happening again this year?

Tbf I think they have given up on the sleepy hollow thing, I think that's the best thing as well as they are just digging a grave by still trying to advertise it.

  10. Not one to be late to the party Oakwood have been doing a 10 days of improvement type tlc post on facebook and instagram.
