How Far To TP From Your Home?
Wow, it makes me realize how lucky I am.

Stealth
Speaking to the engineering team, and luckily for me, they confirm that we will have at least another ten years of it, the ride that is. The work done on the catch car has actually created a stronger unit than it was originally. Hopefully next year the now planned modifications will not interfere with the season.

A woman said to me yesterday "I've seen you ride this four times, that could seriously damage your brain!" How late can somebody be?

The 2016 Thread
I termed it as that to cover the Services Day as well. Somebody did offer to adopt me into their family for the JL do, but I thought it may get too technical, sadly.

The 2016 Thread
Good to see yourselves and other club members about the park today. Quite a few youngsters on the park when I thought they would be at school. Last day of the season, unless one is at a corporate event over the next few days. Luckily got the last ride of the season on ............ Stealth.

SAW: The Ride
I love the layout but hate the themeing; roughness comes and goes, luck of the draw, and also dependent on the truck you're in.

Universal Studios Florida
God forbid - unless you can take laser type potshots at him.

Tidal Wave
Might be something to do with this being a Thorpe Park site and the titles pertain to TP items.

Tidal Wave
As a unique ride and experience I think it is great; I wouldn't queue more than fifteen minutes, and only before 1130 hours on a really hot day, so unlikely I'll ride it often. Five times in one day is going some - I have to know I can dry out within an hour. Interestingly that Oakwood will not open Drenched in the mornings because the park think "the people won't like to be wet for the rest of the day". People queue for Tidal Wave from the opening.

Closed Rides
I don't think so. It's not re-rideable, but has been running quite well this season. It's not like it's removal would make much more area available.

Things You've Overheard at Parks
Sometimes Sam, meaning cannot be properly conveyed in a message on a forum such as this, and one's interpretation may not be correct.

Gosh, makes you furious doesn't it?

Thorpe Park Staff
One can also pop into guest services to do it.

Annual Pass low price now.
Not far above the full gate price though I doubt that many pay that.

Annual Pass low price now.
Thanks for that though I gave them the dates when I spoke with them, I will ask regarding that.

Thorpe Park Staff
Most of the ride staff are young and this is a steep learning curve for them, I find it hard to imagine me having handled it.

Thorpe Park Staff
There was a clear shortage of staff at TP yesterday, yes the H & S was covered but some of the operators on Stealth were literally run off their feet, for the whole day doing more than one job. They had to deal with all sorts, people from all walks of life being generally stupid. The staff were professional and tactful, brilliant in fact, and it was extended hours.

Your favourite Thorpe Park coaster?
Okay, I've decided, it is Stealth. No ride is for everybody, and sure the length of the ride is short, especially if one has to queue for an hour, or in fact for any time. It is the most intense ride on the park, I believe, and gives the most extreme G. The launch, wow, the sudden change of direction, the bump over the top, the free fall, and the severity of the brake run, oh, and the half second view of London. The downside, rain and insects hurt on impact at those speeds. (one beastie actually burst on colliding with my hand yesterday, and it wasn't until I'd been able to clean up that I could see it hadn't broken my skin)

Ride Accidents
Sadly, I now think that if the weight distribution was to the lower side as the dinghy was raised, it would continue raising on the higher side, causing those on board to fall into the conveyor. Terrible for those concerned, their family and friends and those around including the park staff. Sorry, going against my own rules, I have started giving an opinion which I am not qualified to do.
