Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
Everybody has their likes and dislikes, and some are more vociferous in venting their opinion on others - try a ride to make your own mind up, never, never rely on another to disuade you. Luckily we are all different physically and especially in our appreciation of a particular style of ride, which means there are not 100% of a parks visitors in the queue in front of me. We are mostly aware that a particular ride can vary in it's comfort/discomfort due to variations in maintenance, weather and temperature, so it is worth re-riding to make ones own judgement. Enjoy what we have gang, as you can never tell what the future brings, unless it's in a banana skin.

Stealth Ice Cream Shower Photo Shoot
Nice one Peaj, thanks for the photos and the entertaining narration - and to you all, thanks for the company too, great day.

Ride Accidents
Likewise, the other weekend at Oakwood on their bobsleigh run. Tried being clever no brakes, but as I'd not rode it this year that was daft, came off in turn four managed to get back on whilst still going but got the friction burns to prove it, doh! Closed Rides
Not the sort of day to turn to only ride Stealth, phew, I was working.
-
Nemesis
That's okay, stand over there and think about it and let me pass!

Nemesis
It's a fantastic ride, and when you feel the need to run round to get on it again, then it's got what it needs, brilliant.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Great pics of a pretty good day. Always amazes me how the Park maintain that the website sales are nothing to do with them, therefore claim they are unable to "help". Digs were nice and close then? I'm back there in April, and looking forward to it.

Oakwood
All safety checks are important, on all rides, and all other rides are checked, so where's the answer in that? Open the ride, and watch them queue to get soaked. I still don't understand why anybody with a journey ahead of them would choose to do a wet ride after 3p.m., unless it's a brilliant hot dry summer day. Just my views. Is Tidal Wave at Thorpe empty during the mornings?

John Wardley
He clearly loves wood and clearly does not hold the purse strings. His comments show that though he understands what the rider wants, it is the commercial side that decides, not necessarily wins. I wonder if there is anybody in the industry within the UK who may follow his footsteps; there is much more liaison between the manufacturing side and individuals, rather than companies.

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach
Still hopeful; they have several items in storage and do have some "listed" rides. It would be good to have that park open again, though it's a long way over there, for little else.

Oakwood
Incidents and accidents are rare and unfortunate, and have been discussed. I have now been to Oakwood three times, I have never seen any testing or movement on Drenched before 1p.m.; probably they use the staff after they have been working elsewhere, earlier in the day.

Oakwood
Really? how come they were all in front of me in every other queue?

John Wardley
Very interesting talk/presentation. How nice to know that so many have benefited from ones own skills, and he loves them. (and for those talking of Oakwood, you can hear Drenched and Speed in the background)

Oakwood
Oakwood is very nice, specifically for families. The fireworks three weeks ago was about 7 to 9 minutes, but very good. I still can't get over there idea of not opening Drenched until 2p.m., "as guests will remain wet for a long time before travelling!", always thought it better to have all day to dry out.

The Smiler
They'd be pretty high odds then.
-
The Smiler
Quite right, that's the one!

The Smiler
I really hope it is sorted out soon, though my trip is not until October.

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach
Thanks for that Pluk, interesting; great rides, plus great entertainment for the onlookers.

Reserve n Ride
Hmm, it will be interesting to watch this; loads more people in between rides and at others, instead of standing in the SWARM queue. Will this be another queue line at SWARM? I'll watch the "virtual space"!

Heide Park
So, what was their description?

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach
Ah, pity then. The old biogger one had the big perspex screen that one stood behind and all ducked when the water hit it. I believe that was identical to one at Dreamland Margate and, not that any of you would know, when Battersea Park in London had a permanent funfair, the one there.

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach
I shan't estimate how many years it is since I was there, do they still have the old water chute?

Park Operations
Tell the wasps that, they were born with "a chip on their thorax!" at least the one that stung me will die, as it left it's sting and sac in my arm.
