I am ovbiously going to say my slogan is better than the winners... But what I am trying to say here is that I thought the winning slogan was better than the one which went on the park. I hope they put a better slogan on the other side either way, I don't think anyone is really going to be bothered as all the hype is about the swarm backwards this year...
-
If you read the terms and conditions of the competition it says that the winning slogan may not be used on the billboard
-
Just going back into the slogans... The slogan on that billboard is worse than the winning slogan and the winning slogan wasn't that good Honestly thorpe...

I can understand why sonic spinball and Rita aren't open etc. however I don't get where alton are coming at by having ERT, but spreading the rides across the park which are avalible, and that means you have to make a long journey over to a different one which means you get on less rides. Of course maybe this years line up is better for alton, and ovbiously oblivion can't be on the list, but I am disappointed with the amount of 'major' rides alton are giving you the chance to ride. Nemesis is the only one I would consider as really good and thirteen is good but not really a major ride as such... The ideal thing to do for guests would be to open up the forbidden valley and kantaga canyon/mutiny bay. This would mean guests wouldn't have to travel across the park to get on different rides and there would be better rides on offer... What I think could open up for ERT: Nemesis Air RMT Heave Ho Sea life thing Marauders mayhem The blade/ripsaw??? The reason I put the blade and ripsaw on question is because I don't know if they are very reliable rides or not, I think they are in an adequate position to open but if they are unrealiable etc. then they may not be able to open. The key attractions open though could be Air and nemesis... Later on in the season oblivion could then take over again maybe.

I meant that skyswats in general suffered technical problems... I hope slammer does last for a couple of years more, if thorpe do remove it in a couple of years, I hope they replace it with a good flat ride!
-
I doubt six flags will be selling it on due to its technical problems, however if they do try to sell it on, I doubt anyone will buy it!Which means that slammer IS the last remaining sky swat in the world, however I have a feeling that in a couple of years time there will be no sky swats left in the world. I have never tried slammer, and I am desperate to try it this season and if it goes I will be very disappointed.... At six flags did catapult suffer lots of downtime aswell, because if it did, then there is a perfectly good reason to close it. EDIT: it would be good if thorpe bought catapult and took it apart for spares, it would mean thorpe would have the record of only skyswat in the world AND it would mean slammer would be able to survive for a bit longer!

They should move them to the castle dungeon- that has no rides there, would be good to install them there!
-
I think that people will be ver disappointed by THE SWARM- if you go backwards you are going to want to go on the very back row - people will be disappointed they have to go on second back and many people who want to go on back row will end up going forwards because the back row queue is too long. As far as I see it, thorpe will have to put up another queue time board especially for the back rows so when you get to the backwards queue area, there will be a display board telling you how much longer the wait to be to ride backwards...
-
I posted 9, however I really liked this one 'Challenge THE SWARM Before it REFORMS!' I thought that one was one of the best I posted

Don't want to be rude or anything but I thought my slogan was better
-
Guys... It has been announced that for pass holder day there will only be a limited 1000 spaces backwards on the SWARM. Does this mean in the future we will be seeing that you have to prebook tickets to ride it backwards? Or maybe it is just because they will not have built a backwards queue by then.... Who knows?
-
I know they say they have no plans to use it but I think it will probably end up sitting in that time voyagers building at thorpe! As for the old extremis, maybe they are going to put it where saw alive currently is and make a ride a bit like sub terra- it would be a good dark ride and would add to thorpe's line up of dark attractions(which there is only 1) I think merlin will end up using these two rides but I am not sure what in though.... Maybe they will put them in the castle dungeon or something like that?

I am very sorry about my aggression and rudeness in this comment. It is in fact me who didn't read the thread above as I wasn't thinking properly and thought this was a topic it turned out not to be. I am very sorry about this as it has not been mentioned in this topic but another thread. James

Don't be mean... I'm a bit obsessed about these things
-
This has been mentioned if you bothered to scroll upwards...I emailed chessington and they said they are working very hard on zufari and are hoping to have it open for annual pass day however it is subject to avalibility! I am really hoping it is open for AP day

Counted 13 inversions Plus at least one in the building so my guess is 14/15 inversions

Don't worry mark, the people will soon start rolling in

That changes everything if the track is fully up by next I think we could definitely be seeing the ride opening in may! Of course there is all the theming to work on etc. but if alton towers get their skates on we should be seeing it open in may!
-
Looking at what we have got so far, I think the smiler will be long delayed and the track won't be fully up by April. I don't want to disappoint anyone with my thoughts and I am too hoping the track will be up as soon as possible but I have something in the back of my head saying that the smiler will only be in its testing phases when it should open, pushing it back another month or so! I am only visiting at scarefest anyway so it should be open by then but the smiler needs to speed up and construction needs to be finished soon! We are nearing the begining of march and its not nearly done yet. And don't the rides need at least a month of testing?
-
Haha it says I know everyone will not want to do some of the rides at THORPE PARK Should hopefully be attending, I don't think I am booked for any of those weekends, and as the rugby season is over, I am more likely to be able to attend the Saturdays! I will not vote yet though because it is quite a long time away and some plans may crop up
-
Is this the setting you are talking about? It is rather short but is the same as rameses second cycle- the good thing about rameses is that you get two cycles instead of one on ripsaw!
-
I said WORSE rides in thorpe park, and later on I posted in the 'extreme thrills' catergory! I did in no way say it was the WORST RIDE on park... I do not find saw rough, it may just be me but I find it incredibly smooth and I always get a bulge-eye vision when I go down the big drop! Maybe I just get the good carriages, but I have never banged my head on saw, at all! And that is coming from a person who bangs his head so much on Colossus!
-
Umm since when did I say SWARM was worst ride on park?
-
Since when was Saw The ride painful?
-
I dont collect theme park maps, I am just interested in the thorpe ones I dont really fancy paying 99p per one through ebay...
