  1. Not really, I watched the Stealth top hat being put in place back in late 2005. They need to really get a move on with this, I just hope the testing and comissioning process isn't as slow!
  2. I'll find out tomorrow when I go, but as both rides in Mystic East are closed, is the area totally closed to visitors?
  3. Both styles of chair were similar. And more suitable to the restaurants. Those new seats are tacky-looking. I'm going tomorrow to check Chessington's changes out so my verdict on The Burger Kitchen is less than 24 hours away!
  4. Oh thanks, I do know the meaning of words. Patronising.
  5. Just had a chance to finally view the website and see the changes people were going on about in this topic. All I can say is...what?! It looks totally the same as last year's and I can't see any differences. Or have they put it back to the old design and I've totally missed the design and features people were mentioning?
  6. Yes, I meant the old jingles. They were modified slightly a few years ago in between the music tracks and now sound tacky. It's the "piano swipe" jingle I mean. Here's a clip of the old one: http://www.tussaudsmedia.co.uk/teaser/audio/thorpe/wwtp/WWTP%20-%20Jingle.mp3
  7. They look like the inside of caravans! Honestly, this is just cheap crap that Thorpe have put in. Sums them up, they'll never change. They don't deserve a proper hotel now. Sums it up!
  8. Do you mean the 2007/2013 station music or the despatch theme? I miss the old WWTP jingles - except for when I play them on my computer!
  9. I haven't eaten there since about 2010, I wonder if it's improved. Time for a retry!
  10. Did you not ride it lat year? As for the side to sit on, I say left, mainly because the dive drop is awesome! Obviously the front row is the best but any row on the left is good. On the right it feels stranged to be flipped up through the dive drop, still awesome though.
  11. I've been through the normal turnstiles most times I've been to Alton Towers. I've sometimes had my pass scanned by a hand-held scanner and gone through the metal gate. Look at which scanners, the ones on the turnstiles which say "Welcome" ? Well I haven't seen it, I went in May and September last year. And if you class a metal gate with someone standing there holdimg a hand-held scanner as an Annual Pass entrance, then it's awful!
  12. *sigh* It's a singer from One Direction. I know girls go mad for it but this sounds OTT. God help Madame Tussauds when they get their waxworks done.
  13. Quite obviously, a lot of peeps here don't pay attention to the "keep your head back" rule. Perhaps then it wouldn't dance about so much during the ride, and then you wouldn't bash it! Simple really. My mate paid the price in 2007 on Corkscrew at Alton Towers when he suffered whiplash as it came down the fist drop after leaving the lift hill. Saw is a trilogy - at last I've always regarded it as one. Unless you can tell me otherwise?
  14. Americans - yanks There, I said it. Racist? What crap! The list could go on forever. Firstly Mark, thankyou for not deleting my posts. Secondly, if you disapprove of my racist attitude, then you continue to disagree. But in relation to that and what I have emboldened above, yes I am insulting myself and everyone I know. But we're in the minority here, just because we're not saying it, doesn't mean we're not thinking it. There are most likely many people here who have racist views too, although they're not letting them be known. I said the other day that I will stop this rant now to avoid it escalating. Now I definitely am, and if anyone wants to take it further and discuss it privately in a PM, then please do. But I refuse to apologise for my views, even if some are old-fashioned and different than others, and I also refused to be singled out. Just because I'm the only one saying what I think here, it doesn't mean I'm the only one thinking it.
  15. I would say renew the contract on a small basis. Keep the name and perhaps remove a few key features. The Saw film trilogy is over, so I don't see why this should still be marketed heavily.

Have the Rumba boats been spruced up a bit as well?
  17. Not when I've been, there's usually 2 members of staff waiting by about 4 turnstiles, and they're like "Scan your pass on any turnstile."

Where abouts in the country did you do this?
  19. Firstly, if my views are outdated then you're clearly oblivious to the fact that that a lot of the country has outdated views! Secondly, did I mention being served by another colour? No. Just foreigners such as the Poles, Slovakians, Russians etc that have plagued this country. If I want to start on about the Indians and Afghans that live over here, that's a completely different kettle of fish. What is Great about Britain today? Not a lot. In a recession that we claim to have come in and out of and never have done, and with our credit rating recently lowered, we really are doing crap in this country. My views and mine, I make no apology for them and people can think what they want - but look around. The person next to you on that train sipping his frothy coffee is probably like me, and there's a whole nation of them out there.
  20. Exactly, bashing your head about in all directions and hitting the restraint. Rough in that respect, yes, but for track smoothness and going through the inversions it's not rough.
  21. I haven't really got any ideas what they could have as a future theme if Saw did change it's name - I'd love you hear yours.

They're the old ones, I'm sure of it - the shape is a massive give away. They look like mini space shuttles now they've been repainted. Swarm's younger brother or cousin.
  23. The Annual Pass entrance pisses me off. It takes longer if there's several people waiting to get in, and why they don't let you through with the main turnstiles like at Chessington and Alton I don't know.
