RnR will only ever work on the mazes and will just result in slightly longer queues else where so it shouldn't be too noticable. However it will still suffer the everybody is waiting effect so virtual queues will go up to a possible 3/4 hours and also the mazes will loose some people it deals with at the end of the day as RnR doesnt let you wait if your reserved time is after closing. So best of luck trying to get all the mazes done.

Fastrack is meant to be 25% of the wait of the normal queue(well its more complicated but it works out as the equivalent of that, there abouts). The main queue should always have a higher allocation, regardless of the wait of the fastrack people. If Thorpe have oversold them, then Thorpe should be held responsible rather than ruining the peoples day who didn't pay. To complain at them for that is fine as it is their fault however to say that the main queue was being let in more isn't really a valid argument. Thorpe will defend themselves by saying that they limit the number of people they let in the park so I would suggest commenting on bad ride operations rather than saying it had way too many people. Saying those things will probably lead to a more satisfying answer as the other points will yield a generic response. Enjoy your priority passes (it will make sense to you in about 8 days).

they normally start earlier so it opens towards the end of fright nights. Looks like that may not be happening this year.

The human race can make up its own mind. It doesn't need people telling you what to do. It doesn't need people telling you what you can and cant eat and it doesn't need people saying you have just experienced a 200ft drop get off and run round to prove a mediocre ride hasn't lead to your legs loosing circulation. Its like saying you've been driving for 10 minutes, get out the car walk around to check your circulation is all right and continue. If cedar point let people re-ride mantis without an incident then the rest of the world should be the same.

my money is still on the 500ft tall aqua trax which becomes an RMC dark ride with a top spin pre show.

Dear god, these fish puns

So we could potentially be waiting until after january we get any news. why not announce what your going to do like the rest of the world merlin!
-
I would have to agree. Oblivion or nemesis for example. I don't want to be told that I have to be forced through a shop then have to run down a hill to run back up a hill again killing 5-10 minutes before I can get back on a ride which has been sitting there empty. If summer nights had a blanket no re-ride rule it would go down as on of the worst theme park events in history.

I imagine a more permanent stage may come to light but I don't think they will advertise New for 2015 a stage. I don't see it attracting many guests. Did Thorpe ever submit planning permission for the dodgems?

It wouldn't surprise me if we did just get the fish moved. Its not exactly in a good place or with good theming.
-
Explains its early closure and the hole digging. The fish seems an easy ride to move as well.
-
Get rid of it, its nothing special and really old.

The scorpion express did show that people will turn up for a retheme, having all of the family rides in one place could be useful as it would be better for familys and open up the space the fish is currently in. Remove depth charge and the beach and then they have a massive area for multiple large investments. A large family coaster could go where the fish and the beach currently is which leaves the large coaster spots open for future investments, encourages more familys and still attracts people next year with little money spent.
-
How big is that space? they could move the fish over to there so its got all of the family rides together, which would then allow a new ride between the swarm and tidal wave.

I have no problems with the site (except a few people who use it) and I still like to speculate, I just don't like the park anymore.
-
I used to like the park, so I joined the site. However the years of nothing new and trails of stupid gimmicks, the increase of fastrack has lead to me changing my mind. Also it kills some time being on the forum, and allows me to practice my arguing.
-
I think mean streak in the rain wins most painful. Massive drips from the supports, the increase in running speed and the ride lasts forever.

Mega park like disney destroyed by the system, I am 99.99999% certain Thorpe will have same fate. It cant be done. Physically or theoretically. If they offer enough attractions to get the system working then they wont need the system. Queues cant be removed, 20,000 people in the park will go somewhere. They will allocate themselves where they want to spend their own time. They don't want to be forced into shops. It doesn't increase ride count, it doesn't allow more to be done in a day. It just redistributes people. It doesn't solve anything. The second Thorpe understands that then they would stop the entire idea. If anyone disagrees I'm willing to explain the entire idea of RnR in extreme detail explaining the dynamics of it however I don't think that belongs in a fright nights thread.
-
I know I do complain about Thorpe a lot but I do like some of it. Unfortunately there is no near by alternative so I put up with them. However it has come to the point where I would just prefer to save my money and go to better places less frequently.
-
Yes and I did tell them that when they gave them to me, however I wasnt going to say no was I.
-
It will always look horrible. How can me saying something looks horrible not be my opinion.
-
I mentioned no limits because you asked if I had ever deigned a coaster. It is design software so the answer is yes. Also I never said I was any good, having ideas is one thing, expressing them is another and as I cant be bothered to put in the vast amount of time required my coasters are normally building less. The watch tower design in my opinion looks bland and a bit of an eye sore. I am fully aware they are not going to leave it as a 260ft slab of concrete, I was just saying that the building would require a lot of work for me to classify it as nice and that it adds to the ride rather than it being what it currently seems like of being a pointless.
-
they offerd me a load of priority passes so I took them up on the offer. Also I wanted to get in a visit before RnR ruins the park.
-
I use no limits 2 a fair amount and no one with any sense would build a 200ft tower of concrete. There is better ways to intimidate people than annoying any local residents that can see the thing. Something tells me its not too easy to keep themeing in a good condition when your slab of concrete is 200ft tall.

There is one pretty easy way which is pretty much bullet proof. Normal queuing plus a fastlane type system cedar fair uses. Its still a queue just a shorter one, with perfect allocation as long as the host counts the right number of people which had been pre-determined. That way ride breakdowns don't effect it, no over allocation to reduce fastrack queue and Thorpe would still make some money. All without the need of a stupid virtual system that makes queues longer, guest miserable, and destroys itself when a ride breaks down.
