  1. Saying "What on earth were they thinking" is stating they've made a mistake. That isn't an opinion. They haven't made a mistake, they know what they're doing. They're not going to listen to some boy on the internet who thinks "it looks silly and horrible" I get that you think it's not aesthetically pleasing, but stating that they're wrong for building it is stupid. And that's fact, not my opinion.
  2. ^ How does too much effort into theming mean it's not "nice"? Also, this... Doesn't mean "Oh it's just my opinion". I'm thinking you made a silly statement, you got picked up on it, and now you're trying to tone it down?
  3. Ah yes, a computer simulation game provides the answers to all of life's problems. The concrete won't be exposed so both of your arguments are pretty much invalid. And if local residents were that annoyed, they wouldn't have allowed them to build Fluch or Karnan. Besides, given the park's location, half of the "local residents" would be fish.
  4. I'd love to see you design a coaster, I can't imagine it would look any better... It's not supposed to be beautiful. Karnan is a watch tower. It's a practical building, not a building made to please onlookers. People will see that tower and be intimidated, so I don't think Hansa Park care if you think it's ugly tbh.
  5. ^ Ah yeah I forgot about that. I think we only used the first three ones though. I think limiting people to absolutely 3 would be great though, not for the park but for the customer. I would say although every system has it's flaws, Disney is the closest to perfect for me. It feels more personal and less about the park wanting money.
  6. I really hope this coaster turns out as good as it sounds!
  7. They should just do something like MyMagic+ at Disney. Limit people to three fastpasses a day, make reservations at the pizza restaurant, unlock your hotel door, enter the park with just one wristband/card. Make a smartphone app for it too.
  8. It's annoying, but you're visiting the event more than once. A lot of people, like myself, can only visit once due to work commitments, so count yourself lucky! You've still got other days to enjoy the event.
  9. The police officer isn't a Thorpe Park actor, and the monsters are different to the ones in the real scare attractions. I would have thought the blatant stop motion animation would have given that away!
  10. ^ It would take the term "film shooting" to a whole new level!
  11. Posted on the previous page but it's an interesting article. At least for the Daily Mail...
  12. Would have loved to join some of you, but because it's quite late I can't get the day off work I'm going on the 28th though with a Face it Alone so never mind! Working in retail can be awful </3
  13. ^ I'd imagine the Face it Alone would be rather fun!
  14. ^ Are they kissing? MBV with a gay twist? I LOVE IT <3
  15. ^ Maybe it's so avoid a future pathway? I agree it looks odd though.
  16. ^ Hate to be that guy, but if you could use the edit button at the bottom right of your post, it means you don't double post and you can just add to your original comment!
  17. ^ Huh, that's odd! I was at Fright Nights in 2010, and when we were queueing for Nemesis, Alexandra Burke was there too! She must love it at Thorpe Park, but annoyingly for her everyone in the queue didn't like her back! She only delayed the ride for about 5-10 minutes, but it's still a little frustrating! Plus her music is awful </3
  18. Yeah I think the video is awful tbh. Cheesy is funny and if it's done right it can be great. But it was executed well at all. They may as well have used Windows Movie Maker... Urgh.
  19. ^ Okay MINOR SPOILERS... I didn't get split up in MBV, but if it's like Experiment 10, you regroup half way through. In Cabin in the Woods, you won't be split up if you grab onto a friend and go into the same rooms together! Remember some of the doors lock behind you! In Experiment 10, they pushed half the group to one side of a room and the other half to another. Then the two sides go off in the different directions. Nothing really scary! But like I said, in MBV I don't think we got split up. If we did it wasn't interesting enough for us to notice!
  20. ^ That has happened to me this year. I think it's because me and my group have also booked a VIP event with it. Also, on a different note... If you make a statement and then say your source is "some guy I know" or "my mate who works there", don't get upset when people don't believe you.
  21. I like both, probably free roam more though, personally. As nobody can provide a valid source either way, I'll guess it's like Experiment 10 was, but without the splitting of the group.
  22. ^ Well like Benin said it's natural selection. Besides, like I said, it was such a quick death. If the animal had suffered I wouldn't find it funny, but it died quickly as a result of stupidity.
  23. I think Disney has brainwashed you into thinking wild animals have close friendships, relationships and maybe even financial issues. I'm an animal lover, but it's one deer. It didn't suffer at all, in fact I doubt it knew what was happening when it got hit.
