If we did get a Suspended Top Spin, I'd be happy. But I doubt we'll get anything that good for 2015.
-
^ Why? The newer Topspins like Talocan are great!
-
Studio 13 sounds like it could be fab, but I'm not holding my breath considering how awful the atmosphere was last year I do like the general theme of it though. Hopefully Thorpe Park will pull it off! After all their investment this year was bumper cars, they have money to spend. Come on Thorpe, prove to us you can host a class Halloween event once again!

I would say given the price increase for Annual Pass users, the Horror Pass is good value if you're visiting 2 or 3 times. However the actual price rise itself is too much in my opinion. Sorry but considering you've already paid £100+ for the MAP, one visit to Fright Nights is not worth 10% on top of what you've already paid for an entire year. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy visiting Merlin parks, but they're just pushing prices up until they know people can't afford it any more, whereas I think pricing should be based on the experience you're getting on the visit.

A murderer in a blood-soaked gas mask? I'm not here to judge...
-
^ Yeah hopefully they'll get IMAScore to do something. I love their Krake soundtrack so I do hope Thorpe hire them to do a new track for Studio 13.
-
I don't have doubts about the mazes this year, as I really enjoyed them last year. I just worry about the park wide atmosphere. It really ruined my night last year
-
^ I doubt it. My guess is that you start on a tour of the Studio 13, and in the latter parts of the scare maze (with the scares), there might be studio lights, fake cameras everywhere.
-
^ No, it isn't a good deal. People with annual passes have paid a lot of money to buy it, so it's a huge insult when Thorpe Park try and grab another £10 off of you, even though some have paid over £100+ for their pass earlier in the year.

^ Scare Kingdom up north near Preston! It's a long way from Staines though. There's smaller ones dotted around the country too.

TPJames, that's the side I went on last, and I wasn't satisfied...
-
Yeah I always try to leave a little gap on Rush, but there's not much point recently because the swings don't get that high anymore Though on Slammer I pin myself down to avoid certain death...

Actually I've been on Insane and I loved it. So I know what a ZacSpin is. It was a bit rough on the man area though. The restraints on the S&S prototype looked a lot tighter and more bulky than the horrid Intamin ones, so I have high hopes for this coaster. It also spins a LOT faster on the bumps (the actual prototype, not in the video I posted)
-
I'm most looking forward to seeing how this ride turns out. From what I've seen earlier this year, this new type of coaster from S&S will be really fun!
-
Well it hasn't really got the force, Detonator has that extra push. I find taller drop towers are fun, but not as intense. I guess it's because the longer you're falling, the slower you accelerate due to wind resistance etc.

Yes, I'd love to buy a DVD that lasts for 12 seconds.
-
^ That's true! I swear the article was called "Nemesis saved my life" or something though... I suppose she's still alive so nothing else matters really!
-
That's odd, when that story was covered in the news ages ago, she said she went on Nemesis Inferno...

Thanks for posting Where on the ride is that? After the turnaround?

I'd imagine it varies. Being a student, I've stayed away from theme park jobs because of the odd hours you sometimes get. Remember if they had the choice between you, (a student with possibly difficult hours, and somebody outside of education), they might well go for the latter, and still pay 6 or 7 pounds an hour like they would for you. As for when you might be able to leave, 5 is a tad hopeful. Keep in mind that if a queue for an attraction is say, 30 minutes at the end of the day, you'll be there for that 30 minutes, then you'll close up, and then be debriefed before you leave. Go for it though! You might love it!

The Swarm shadows are good, although I still don't think Thorpe would pride themselves on adding all the details. Edit - I know I sound grumpy, but I do love Thorpe Park. Even if it isn't the best park ever, or in the UK (in my opinion). But I think if they really want to keep customers flooding in, and get better feedback, they need to improve on the details. Hopefully someone there will visit Phantasialand and get inspired. They prove you don't need to make cheaper investments more often to keep customers visiting again. However I know Merlin don't do it that way, which is fine, but if I were Thorpe Park I'd be trying to improve customer satisfaction even more. And they really need to now that they're aiming themselves at families.

I think it would be interesting, but I go to Fright Nights to have fun and have a scare, not to trek around a museum (which will probably be in a shipping container)... The Asylum replacement will hopefully be fab. The building has a great layout for a decent attraction.
-
^ And? Maybe I didn't bother watching the trailer because I've heard bad things about the film? You know what I meant. They played it near the Asylum's queue last year and it killed the mood. Other people in the queue seemed to agree.
-
Or lets be realistic, some chav wasn't happy with his Gregg's Steak Bake the day before and decided to kick the volcano in? Sounds the most likely to be honest.

Sometimes film scores suck though. I would imagine that in some cases, a custom made track would build atmosphere much more. I know everyone disagrees with me, but I think that the 'Perfect Day' song that played everywhere last year ruined the atmosphere. If you haven't seen the film, it just feels so out of place. Music on previous Fright Nights has been so much better in my opinion.
