  1. This is very true, however this is Thorpe we are talking about. The slash just implies violent and dangerous things.
  2. I think the slash in the font is nothing more than to improve the aesthetics. As for the colours, it's nice to see such a bold change and it's definitely exciting! I can't wait to see what they have in store.
  3. Thanks Mark for looking into it
  4. ^ Thanks, but why was that deleted? And another one was earlier in this topic, I gave constructive criticism about somebodies Slender Maze idea, but that was also deleted.
  5. Ok I'm not sure who is deleting random posts of mine, but please stop. It's annoying. Just because somebody doesn't agree with you doesn't mean you should delete it.
  6. I do hope they mix things up a bit like they did with Experiment 10. Walking in a line can get a bit dull after a while!
  7. Not sure if this have been posted here... It's gonna be pretty swag.
  8. Is there a thread for the coaster being built at IoA at the moment?
  9. ^ We're talking about minimum age without parents, though!
  10. A while ago I wondered why they needed an adult, and they send me this! You are correct that an element of our target market is young adults and teenagers. Howver our audience for the Crash pad will differ from our park operation. Whilst we dont wish to exclude young people from using our facilities we have to be realistic and apply rules based on both our experience as a them park operator as well as demonstrating a responsible approach to our over night accomodation. The decision to apply the over 18 rule was based on feedback from our current short break supplier as well as our guests when quized during focus groups. I do hope this has gone someway to answering your question. So I guess it's fair
  11. Although I think it will have one, that picture isn't proof. That's the base of an Immelmann.
  12. I love how bad and cringe that video is. Thorpe <3
  13. Hopefully they'll release fun little video teasers for the mazes. I enjoyed the one for The Passing! Better than the maze itself...
  14. If you're looking for airtime however, don't go near Wodan. None whatsoever.
  15. ^ We say it's painful because... Well, it is! For some... I usually check if my limbs are still functional after every ride.
  16. I like the Batwing-style part, and the general layout. Actually I quite like all of it tbh! It won't be a World Beater, but fun.
  17. I pray to God, please don't fill the supports with sand!
  18. They're not building a clone, at all. This has a cobra roll and an inclined loop!
  19. Universal has a budget that Thorpe Park can only dream of. How can Thorpe Park pull IPs off like them? They can't, really. Besides with a Slender theme, the whole point of the game is that you are alone, with nobody else. Silence and the bass drones are what makes the game suspenseful, and with friends talking to each other, the atmosphere would be lost entirely. For a passive scare attraction, it's not bad. However Thorpe need more active attractions for the target market of Fright Nights.
  20. All I'm saying is that unless you were alone, it's wouldn't be particularly scary!
  21. This. I think it's a neat idea though! Also, you'd always get idiots that would walk towards Slender actors and follow them. And because unlike a maze, the woods isn't a controlled environment and many guests might not see the incentive to move on through the attraction. As with the torches, many people might throw them if they are scared, or even use them as a weapon if the actor takes them by surprise. It may sound stupid but it can easily happen! One last thing, I don't really think many people would find it scary? Especially as they are in a group with friends. I could only see people being genuinely terrified if they were alone, but then the throughput would be so awful there would be no point in running the maze in the first place. I think it's actually a really good idea though! I thought the camp site and the bridge were neat ideas, but I think it needs some tweaking here and there!
  22. You could do it inside. I remember there was a Slender game set in an Asylum or something. They could easily do an Experiment 10 and split up the groups individually, then they could have to walk alone for a while, building suspense.
  23. I'm a huge fan of Dead Silence too! For a little info on the HHN Maze at Universal, I found this... http://halloweenhorrornights.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_Silence:_The_Curse_of_Mary_Shaw
  24. Hmm looks like it'll have a gorgeous queue line then. Just not sure if there's no much green though? Maybe a contrasting colour would have done nicely
